Thanks gents for your informative discussion. I have a leasehold house with only 10years left with a ground rent of £5.50 per year. Recently a neighbour bought the freehold for the property at a cost of £40,000 + Her and the freeholders freeholders costs and fees. What is my next move and what has happened regarding marriage value. We are both 70 plus pensioners. Many thanks
