Swellendam is amazing :D South Africa has a lot of dutch history to it - John's family is originally Dutch (his surname is Oosthuizen)

OMG!!! I really love this edit and those mountains seriously get me everytime, but I really loved those falls, like you said its so peaceful and so calm being around them. We have some waterfalls like that around our neck of the woods we will have to explore some of those more this summer before we move to Florida. The sound of the running water always reminds me of those sleep machines lol. I cant wait to see your review on your new tent :) Looks like you guys had another great adventure!! :)

The good thing about a hard hike to a beautiful place is that the hike keeps the crowds away. What was the white stuff on the surface at the waterfall pool?
Too right you are! We only encountered 2 other pairs of hikers, and they were going in the opposite direction. I think the white stuff was foam from the waterfall, but it could also have been some sort of debris from the trees around... not 100%

Just curious......do you travel for a certain length of time and have a home base? How did you decide to start traveling?
Such great questions! We do have a home base in Kleinmond, South Africa - we work over weekends as wedding DJ's so that is where we base our life from. At the moment we travel for 3 - 5 days at a time, depending where we are heading. I (Thalia) have been traveling since I was very young, so the bug bit early on, and John traveled through his school and enjoyed it, however didn't do too much of it until we met, and since then, we have been enjoying making new discoveries together :)
