I am learning cocktail jazz piano through this guy. Blessed to have him as my digital mentor. Keep up the good work Johny👍
Check out Tony Winston too, hes slightly harder to follow compared to the simplicity of Jonnys style but will truly show you the typical way to approach playing jazz starting from comping with the basic chords in a standard to slowly incorporating different open chord methods and improvisations in increasing difficulty
Are you taking lessons from him or just using the you tubes?
I come from a long line of pro musicians - including teachers - and Jonny is a very worthwhile refresher course for all levels... definitely recommend this dude!
Thanks again, Johnny. You know how to prepare a song with fundamental exercises and to stay easy while playing 😀✨✨✨✨
Nice lesson Johnny, especially when it comes to the diminished exercises..... Love it, Good ear tweaking & muscle memory. Firing up those synapses. So much fun too🎉

Hey Jonny
Hi Jonny. I am searching for a lovely Jazzy arrangement of Silver Bells, but I didn't find a good one. Do you have an arrangement of this nice Christmas classic? Thank you, Tom.
Great tune! We haven’t published a tutorial on this song, but we’ll make a note of your request 😊
@@PianoWithJonny would be great, thank you
I love your song Linda. Kay Taylor ❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂
I want to know, the speakers that you have on your piano. What are they? I’m looking to buy some, done a ton of research and I’m just as confused today than I was 3 months ago. Amp or monitor speakers? that’s the question I’m fighting with.
I have a pair of studio monitors the same size (different company) as the ones Johnny has. There is a power plug that goes into the surge protector and one line out that goes into the back of my pc (or into the headphone jack of my MacBookPro). Then, I plug my Yamaha electric piano into a USB port on my pc. After that I have lots of options since I have a DAW and lots of piano plugins. So, my simple electric piano can sound like a nice concert grand, an upright, Alicia Keys Yamaha piano, etc. Or, I can have real fun and run it through a Hammond B3 organ plugin:)) These little monitors have great sound (especially for watching movies or CZcams surfing) and are relatively inexpensive. Sweetwater is a great place to look for monitors and if you have any questions, their customer support is incredible. Just tell them what you have (keyboard), what you are hoping to do, and they will walk you through it.

Is there a book I can buy that has all this?
I show up to the jam and just play this 1 chord. ?Full diminished ha ha. Liebman jam.
He says once you can play the exercises in all 12 keys you can try it with another 7th chord. What does he mean playing in all 12 keys? Aren’t the exercises stepping through all 12 keys, or am I confusing something?
You understood rightly, he just pointed out that you can play any other 7chord through 12 keys
