There is a mod for that, although the layout for those cars was the 66 layout
How does the saying go again? Something like "dream and you shall receive"? Whatever it is, I'm so glad to see this dream come true. No chicanes, just a straightway so long, I fear I may fall asleep before hitting the end (and much like you, completely missing the braking point)

@@hereward1971 This game is just incredible. I bought it before the full release and it had potential but didn’t quite have the car control right. Now it’s amazing and coupled with VR, it’s something else!

It's a great track, it's one of those that might not see the light of day though, depends if Reizer releases an official version

Oh I have been waiting for the vintage le sarthe to be modded from pc2 to ams2.....it's just a shame we don't have a gt40 to wang around there.
May not make it all the way unfortunatly, depends if Reizer put out there own version.
@@hereward1971 I suppose it depends on which era they go for and what cars they ihntend releasing for vintage endurance.....Bentley blower anyone? The track altered quite abit over the years especially after the massive crash in 55. It's not as if Reiza can go out and laser scan the track back in the 60's or 70's

Actually, I have another question: can you use modded tracks for championships, big races, with mandatory pit stops, tire changes, etc? I know modded tracks have this problem when you exit the pit, the car goes bananas like it's being lifted by Magneto. But can you do a >1 hour race, enter the pits, change tires? The AI is able to pit safely?
I was thinking about creating a custom vintage championship and include modded tracks, such as Rouen Les Essarts and Bannochbrae. But it would not be possible if you can't enter the pits. Unless I go for a sprint race.
Yes and the pit thing I saw was the garage exit so only hit coming out for practice and quali, ran online races with pitstops on modded tracks as well, no problems.
Is there a page that we can follow for whoever does these mods?

Can you post all your graphics settings for comparison? Cos it looks like you have most things cranked up and the colours seem more lifelike, rather than bright and cartoony.

Ok heres the "secret" first up set the time of day to just before sunset, that will give you long shadows and "golden" light. Next up throw in some haze (not fog) in the weather settings. Thats it, that simple, I'm on a 1080ti in vr running medium to high settings tuned to keep my frame rate more than eye candy. The other thing is the mod tracks use a different colour pallet, the greens are less luminous for one, I usualy drive a dark coloured car to show the reflections off more. The big thing is the lighting set by the time off day, try it, see what you think :)

I have so many questions now. Let's try it slowly:
1. Is this by the Project CARS Modding Team?
2. If this is a yes, what happened to the Historic Le Mans promised by Reiza?
3. If answer to 1 is "yes" and answer to 2 is "Reiza is working on it", can we assume that Reiza's version will NOT be set in the 70s, like the PCARS2 1971 version? Maybe from the 80s or the 90s?
You seem to be assuming that Reiza and the modding team are talking to each other. No idea really if they are or are not, but it would be unusual.
can't say who made it, but I can say it's locked away and won't be released if Reiza put out there own historic le mans of the same era out of respect to Reiza. So currently this isn't in the release schedule.

Reizer work with the mod comunity and the mod comunity show some respect back, as it should be.......just wait for the v1.6 update headaches though LOL

Yeah, it's a wait and see on those two tracks, Modders understandabley don't want to tread on Reizers toes if they put a track out that could potentialy harm DLC sales. But time will tell, no release by Reizer then there sitting at the back of a long que of tracks to be released in the wild.
