I think I remember hearing that Araki (the guy that writes and draws the manga) gives the studio in charge of the anime a list of songs from the time when he was working on that specific Part and that’s how the ending songs are generally chosen. Dude is crazy about western movies and music.
People say it’s cheating cause these were already popular songs when they came out. But f that! This is creativity at its finest! And these songs capture the mood of their stories and I’m ALL FOR IT!
Also a lot of ops and ending are already popular songs in Japan before they use them

jojo is a unique show with its own identity, you just recognise it because it's jojo and nothing else
I'm not kidding you should defo watch it , you'll get used to its identity eventually
Hearing the strings slowly begin to play as the cliffhanger approaches and then the "To be continued" with Roundabout starting to play has this feeling that no other ED can have.
9:03 this one hits hard when you end the season and it plays for the last time. Part 3 might not be the best but it definetly had the best side characters and the end is very sad

@@tobyisdagoat1270 most of diu's point was the side characters and how they flesh out the town of Morioh, plus Rohan exists. Bruno, Mista, Narancia, Abbachio, Fugo, and Trish together make a much more compelling group to me. And for part 7 you might be right but I really like Gyro.

You probably know this already, but the name of the song for the first two endings is Roundabout by Yes. The full song makes 8.5 minutes feel like two, and it goes absolutely crazy for the whole thing. One of the most iconic bands of their genre. I highly recommend listening to the whole thing.

Part Four's ending is my favourite. Savage Garden was a hugely successful Australian band in the 90's, their music was everywhere as a kid. So when I heard it play at the end I just laughed. Of course the series set in 1999 would have to have them!

My favourite thing about Jojos Bizzare Adventure is how it manages to resonate with people from different generations. Any song this franchise references, you go on youtube and see people that grew up when that song was first released, they're talkin about how happy they are to see so many young people getting into these bands because of a show. Music, it really knows no borders. regional, political, social. I love seeing people connect like this.

hirohiko araki, the creator of JJBA, is a big fan of american music. so much so that various character in the series are named after famous bands, songs and albums. and the endings were no accidents. for each season, araki would send the show's producers a list of songs that he liked when he wrote each part and let them pick one out of that list to be the ending songs.
