These look like a lot of work but so very beautiful. I would give these to someone very special and would appreciate the time and effort put into them.🙂
These are beautiful! Where do you get your supplies? I have been knitting slippers and felting them in the wash. This looks like they would last forever and the possibilities are endless. Thank you.
Hi Nancy, thank you! I buy roving wool online. If you search online you’ll probably be able to find a craft store that sells roving wool for felting. Just make sure it is Merino wool. Not all roving wool is suitable for felting.
Hi Jessica, You’ll need a traced outline of the foot on a piece of paper and enlarge by 35-41% (so increase to -for example- 141%). Felting is not an exact science, shrinkage percentage can vary, it depends on the wool you use and not all wool is suitable for wet felting. I use Merino wool for the slippers. If you want a professional look and feel, I recommend to use shoe lasts. It will help you to get a better form. Polystyrene shoe lasts are reasonably priced and can be used multiple times. Give it a try and have fun felting and decorating!

What do you call the tool you put in the wet slippers to form them?
Hi Johanna, thank you for your compliments! Those are called shoe lasts.
Please make more videos.

Are you using very warm water in sink while rubbing?
Hi Theresa, warm to lukewarm 😊
How can I find or create a template like this, please?
