FULL RULES:
The theme is the OUTBREAK! ⚠️
You can use ANY Mega Construx figures and any faction but they MUST be fighting the flood!
Don't worry if you don't own any! You can be creative and create you're own flood!
Create a stop-motion animation between 30secs and 5mins long.
Your entry must be a new video, not re-used content.
Keep your animation appropriate - NO explicit language and not too graphic.
Last years winners ARE allowed to enter.
Lego and other brick brands are allowed for terrain and scenery ONLY.
Halo music is allowed but NO Halo 3 or Halo 4!

I will be honest, not entirely sure if i am going to participate this year, i like contests but i personally feel like having a specific themes and concepts puts limitations on the creative freedom of the animator, forces you to think within the confines of the theme rather then allowing for people to come up with something completely different and unique from everyone else, i may join but i'm not entirely sure, either way everyone who does enter i wish you all the best of luck, most importantly have fun!
I hear you but I think this is a remarkably vague theme. There has to be a general theme and idea or it’s just a random mashup of different videos with no through line or continuity. I hope you’ll enter mate but no worries either way!
@@thedomainhalo I get that man, I mean from a judges perspective I would 100% prefer continuity, imo the random mashup allows for everyone to express their own ideas for themes, and while it may mean there is less continuity, it does mean there is more diversity in the content, which i think is better, I will still consider joining but still not sure :)

Every you do is amazing ever since I was a kid I’ve had a special connection with halo mega construx and it’s so cool to see what you can do with them with animation I’ve been watching your channel for a while now and I’m super excited for the toymation cause it’s my first time doing anything like this and I’m soo hyped have a awesome rest of your day

Flood themed contest baby!!! I’m super hyped to see how people adapt their ideas of the flood and what people will do with painting and green stuff! I’ve always loved these events, and being able to judge these pasts years has been a treat! Great video and can’t wait to see what people do!

I don’t expect myself to do well, as I’ve only ever made 1 mega stop motion before, and I don’t own the supplies to make a flood, nor do I own one (it’s kinda hard for a budgeted UK collector 😂) but i think I’ll enter for some fun!

I cant wait to enter this one, especially with the flood being the main focus. I have ideas for a story and already have an insane action scene planned that without a doubt will be the best action scene I’ve made. Making a tutorial sounds cool as I’ve always considered making one at some point, (might do one about editing vfx), so I might do that as well. Cannot wait to see all the other entries and am hyped for the livestream of reacting to them all.

I don't think the flood need to be visually in it, you could do something with the logic plague, how the flood psychologically effect it's victims. The flood just need to play a key role in the story

Here’s my thing a marine is running to a covenant outpost when he is halted by their commander from there he tells the commander that a spartan has been infected by the flood and they have to make a stand against the infected demon.

I have a question Simon,
So I'm making a really long stop motion (Halo fireteam nova) and it includes a flood combat scene. I'm currently working on it but entered a WIP of the floodfight into Yalo Chief's and Callsign striker's contests. Would I still be able to enter the FINISHED FLOODFIGHT into the Toymation 2024? I'm currently STILL ANIMATING IT. I was wondering if that would count as re-used content. I can pull out of the other contests if I need to bcs I REALLY want to be in yours! :)

Hey TheDomain i have a question! I started making a flood Stopmotion like a week ago but never finished, it has no sound, music, editing, etc… do u think I could enter it in the contest? I don’t care if I have to make a new one (I probably will make a new one) but I’m just asking.
Also can I use Halo reach and Halo CE music?

I’m working on a different sm atm but I’ll try and do it I got the floodgate but that’s enough flood as one cannot have too much flood so use the newer grunt heads and arms. it’s h4/5 that’s copyrightedim pretty sure.
