Hey all! Firstly, know that I’m always grateful to receive PR. But I wanted to be clear about making the decision to now buy this collection, not b/c I thought PR was coming. I was happy to skip it, and was going to film a video sharing my thoughts on the matter. And then POOF! I received the FedEx email! Good morning! A few things:
I just found about the passing of AJ Crimson, and I'm in complete shock. Saddened by this news, I will dedicate a separate post on this event.
Secondly, I am always grateful for PR and by no means take it for granted. I wanted to clarify my expectations, and didn't feel genuine in recommending a product that I didn't plan to purchase in the first place. So I thought to still make the comparison swatches with shades in Pat's collection. And the Skintillating Powder is "Golden Majesty". I can't friggin' read. Last thing: Elson 5 in the new SatinAllure formula is fantastic! I hope these shades get released in better components.

I think seeing you, who always had been extremely excited for any PMG release, to not be excited about any of it speaks volumes to the fact that we want something new. And definitely not cheaper packaging for the same lux price.

To me, she didn't seem sad, she seemed disappointed and uninterested in the products, as she explained at the beginning of the video. I was very impressed with this video, and I'm so glad I watched it, because that Gold color did have me intrigued.
I decided to skip the whole Bridgerton collection. I just kept looking at Celestial Oddesy sitting in my drawer hardly used and I couldn’t justify spending more money on similar colors. I beat the fomo! Excellent review!

I had originally planned to pass on this palette for the same reasons, but then I saw her Instagram live and couldn’t contain myself. I grabbed the palette, new Kohl liner and new baked blush palette. Fun fact: She also announced that all the makeup used on the set of the show is by Pat McGrath. I love the show and actually watched it for the first time when the last collection was launched.

Appreciate this video, one thing I don’t love is how filtered pats posts are with the products in them, hard to see what the true colours are until you’ve got them in person 😰 I got both the palettes and they certainly complement eachother, maybe she always intended them to be together?
I completely agree about the swatches on Pat’s site. I really appreciate videos like these as I feel I can much better see what the colours and textures will be like. I picked up the Bridgestone 2 as I was super keen on a few of the shades - especially the chartreuse!
I totally think the whole collection was meant to come out together! Especially with the lipstick casings being the color of both palettes, peach (pink?) and blue.
I think probably supply chain &/ shipping and customs delays happened, and Pat made the best of it.
I am so with you on the filter PMG posts, I really thought it’s only me who feels that way

I’m sad to say that PMG launches no longer excite me… I’ve grown tired of the color stories, same golds and pinks. I really hope that the next mthrsp will bring the heat. But then again all of the sales and the poor shipping experience ruined it for me so I’ll probably wait for a bargain to snag it if the color story excites me.

I wasn't into the 1st collection. But part 2 caught my interest. I really like the color story. I'll be traveling soon. And, it's a good size to take with me.
I just picked up the palette & 2 new lipsticks. The packaging is really cute.
The blush interested me. But it seemed overly bulky. I hope she'll turn it into a flat palette later.
I'm really glad I watched this to prepare for the eyeshadow palette I purchased, thank you for sharing this and the comparisons. I've picked up a couple of things from both collections - the former being the eyeshadow palette and highlighter, the 2nd collection being the eyeshadow palette and one of the lipsticks.

Thanks so much for all your videos! I bought the entire collection of Bridgerton 1 - my first PMG purchase! I quickly followed that up with Subliminal and Subversive. Since then I've been watching all your PMG tutorials, as well as KBJ and Michele Wang. Your videos helped me decide that Decadence was my next best Mothership purchase. All that being said, I did go ahead and buy the eyeshadow palette and eyeliner from Bridgerton 2. I'm so happy that Forever Charmed is in there, and I really don't mind the pinks because I don't anticipate buying any more 10-pan Motherships in the near future. Lastly, I'm super excited about Daring Dandy. That will be my "pastel moment" this season without having to commit to something larger like the ND or Hindash pastel palettes. Apologies for the thesis of a comment and thanks again for all you do - you help me be a more diligent consumer!

I don’t have many of her larger motherships, but I love the blitz Astro shades, so I had to get the second palette. I do wish however, the pink shades were not included as it feel too similar to the last. You are an OG Pat lover, and def introduced her to me yeas ago, so no one deserves her PR more. Your likes and recommendations hold a great deal of weight. 💗

As a Bridgerton fan, I skipped both collections but I also don’t think (by the way it’s designed) that I’m the intended target for it. I can only assume the collection is reaching people who aren’t regular PML buyers the packaging may not be an issue for them. With that said, it’s very pretty, just not my aesthetic nor is it something I need. Thanks again Alicia ☺️

Wonderful video as always :-) The aqua shade is also like snow cone in Natasha Denona's Circo Loco palette. Gigabyte is one of the all time great shades in any collection!

Hey girl! Thanks for the sneak peak. I brought the collection, but haven’t received it yet. I brought the eyeshadow palette, the blush and 1 lipstick. I don’t have all of her eyeshadow palettes and blushes. I love Pat McGrath’s line. I like you would love to see her do another one of her 10 palatte pans with a different color story. I’m waiting for that one(lol).

Hi Alicia, I always love to watch your vids, even though I do not have any Pat McGrath products. (Maybe someday I'll give in and splurge...but not necessarily the Bridgerton products.)
The astral shade in this palette may be flake-y, but some folks love the more grungy texture-y look on their eyes. You know, I love how there are no set rules with makeup these days. Anything can go depending on your personal choice.

Thank you Alicia! I bought this, but I think it's my last time purchasing just for the sake of having it. I've barely used the first palette. I like the look of this a lot more than the first...but I clearly have all of these colors. I'm one person and I have nearly her entire collection. I'll have to wait until she starts coming out with more innovative shades.
I bought 4 lipsticks because I loved the packaging but I’m bummed to hear that they don’t feel as luxe.
I didn’t get the first Bridgerton palette and this one definitely intrigued me more, but I still didn’t purchase it because I’m hoping to get it eventually on sale (depending on how this review goes lol). Sadly, as big of a PML fan that I am, I am no longer as excited for her releases as I used to be since most of the shades/color stories she comes out with look nearly identical. Thanks for another thoughtful and thorough review!

You are like the majority of us that already have a substantial PML collection. I too have skipped both of the Bridgerton collections. I am waiting for the next mothership. They are always a special experience. I am interested in the lipsticks and of course the swatches which has well and truly distinguish the fomo. I’m glad PML still have you in mind.
I love your swatches, comparisons and looks. I don’t have a lot of other Pat palettes (yet) so the similar shades were not a turn off. I was really attracted to the two astral shades, especially forever charmed. I skipped the first palette but like the colour story of this one better. I skipped the rest of collection 2.

I was waiting on this video! I also passed on this collection. I love Bridgerton but no, I didn’t even feel a twinge of wanting to click. I have the first palette and as you say “dat’s enough!” I think I’m actually PM no buy until she leaves the pinks behind. Never thought I’d say that, but here we are.

I also love Pat McGrath, and have all the Motherships as well as other items too numerous to mention. But Bridgerton has not interested me. I am really hoping for something warmer next time, more like Midnight Sun or Bronze Seduction. I feel like I have enough pink, purple, and yes, the ever ubiquitous gold, to last a lifetime. That said, that lipstick is amazing on you, Alicia! You always do a wonderful job with swatch comparisons and unique eye looks. I love your channel.
The Bridgerton II eyeshadow palette looks warmer and more suited for deeper skin tones IMO. I might buy B2 eventually...no rush though.
TYSM Alicia! As someone who doesn't have any PMG palettes and prefers cool tones, I think I'm going to pick up Divine Rose VII instead. This collection seems redundant to the OG? I just got Lunar Nude and have some lippies on the way, but need to add a palette into my collection
I like the second Bridgerton release way more. I don't have all the palettes. I bought Midnight Sun, the Brdgrtn2 palette, and the divine rose 2 mini mothership. Lots of Pat's colors seem similar, but if you're not trying to own ALL the palettes...so I never had gigabyte, I was grateful to have that smaller one. I rely on the comparisons and beauty people on CZcams to see which shadows I want to invest in, so thank you for all your hard work and intelligent descriptions.
Alicia, I really appreciate the video, from the pics they just look too similar to justify the price. I was on the fence but your video confirmed what I thought, I already have the colors from other pat products. The blush palette and the powder look interesting but I didn't get them because of the packaging. The cardboard just didn't look like it would hold up. I really love pat's formulas but this collection just seemed like stuff I already have from her. I wish this collection was more yellow's and purples the show has such vibrant pastel colors throughout I was hoping the second collection would embrace that more.

I think the lipsticks are fantastic. I’m happy Pat changed the formula, because it is creamy and smooth on the lips! I might buy more shades!

I only trust your opinion when it comes to Pat's makeup so I didn't form any idea about this collection. Now I can say: I'm very underwhelmed about it. And why the heavens they didn't send you the damn blush palette!? That was the most curious item on this collection!
Same here. I love most products from PML, but this is extremely underwhelming. Other then the shade that looks like Gigabyte, this looks the same as the shades in the palette from the first collection. When the shades are on they eye, you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference
I thought that was strange as well, but maybe I’ll still pick it up. I said I wasn’t, but if it goes on sale perhaps. I just couldn’t bring myself to buy something just b/c it’s from one of my favorite brands. I look forward to her future releases!
@@aliciaarcher Hey friend, just updating that I saw one review of the blush bulky palette (you're gonna hate the packaging) and it is a brand new formula from mama Pat, the blushes and highlighter itself look absolutely STUNNING! It's a hard decision, for sure it's better to be picked up in a sale but I think a must have for a Pat's collector/fan, specially because of the highlighter.

It looks almost identical to one another. Other then that shade, the palettes from the first collection and this second collection look almost the same. The differences are so subtle that you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference when the shades are actually on the eyes.
I really wanted the blush palette but I don’t have time for that bulky packaging but I got the holiday blush palette and love it

I got it all 🤣I wasn’t excited by the palette at all but I am a PML collector so I feel like I have to have it to keep my collection complete. I know it’s stupid, but I spent years picking up all the popular palettes till I learned what I really liked. I love Viseart matte formula specifically so I get their matte palettes (which they don’t seem to come out with much anymore. Are they being removed from Sephora?) and then PML and ND. A great video, as usual. I find the packaging very child-like, and it looks very cheap, unfortunately. I think those releases are intended to capture a different target audience, which is also the target audience of Bridgerton (you're really NOT missing out by skipping it). They are a good entry for those who don't own any Pat shadow and are maybe young girls looking to start with better make up products. I don't know, that's how I see it. I hope she goes back to her wonderful packaging soon. I like the lipsticks, though. You mentioned that you think Elson 5 is an already existing shade, could you tell me which one, please? I do have all the other Elson and a few other reds by her.
Agreed: this collection I feel was not for the die hards. And I probably wouldn’t go all out for a collaboration. While I understand she gave us gold for Star Wars, that franchise holds so much more weight than Bridgerton. Even if I was going to skip it, I prefer this color story over the first one. I think it’s more versatile, and Forever Charmed is great to have if you don’t own any of Pat’s shadows.

I told myself no more lipsticks or eyeshadows (until the next mothership) so I skipped all of that. I did get that blush palette though and I am so excited to play with it.

@@aliciaarcher don’t know if you’ll see this but the colors are stunning! They fill a gap in my collection as I don’t usually gravitate towards pink blush. There is a stunning coral in there though. The highlighter has glitter in it but I’m not mad at it. The packaging does feel cheap but it’s still pretty to look at. 😂
