  • I am really happy to get this project done. I wasn't sure exactly how it was going to turn out but it has exceeded my expectations ! Everything about the install went well, and the ergonomics of the whole set-up work so well for me. Stepping on and off it's just the right height. It will make moving my outboard from the boat to dinghy - and back - so much easier. An added bonus was using the "under-deck" style ladder because it turns the platform into a very comfortable seat too !
I hope this and my other videos will inspire someone to tackle a project they weren't sure about. And eventually I hope it inspires you to go cruising !!
    Thanks for watching !!!

Two really good additions to the boat I think that platform slash boarding ladder is going to serve so many needs, and the ta le makes so much sense. A color of a steps closer.

Great job on the platform and the table. If the sea trial goes well I'm upgrading boats this weekend from a Catalina 25 to a Catalina 27. I'm working on catching up to you! lol

Dude, the C27 is a great boat ! Believe it or not I've owned 2, an inboard and an outboard model. We lived on the outboard one for 3 years. One has even done a circumnavigation, Google it.

Nice work man! And I actually really like the voice over! I’m flying to Baltimore today from Texas to see the endeavor 32 I have under contract near Annapolis. Survey set up Friday. I’ll keep you posted. Also you suggested sailboat story so I went back and watched some of their older stuff before they got the westsail. I’ve been contemplating putting a wind vane off my transom but you’ve obviously chosen to use the space for a swim platform. Nice to give me things to think about. Keep the videos coming.

Thanks ! I'd considered a wind vane at one time but decided on upgrading my autopilot instead. And the swim platform will be really helpful for getting my outboard on and off the dinghy. Good luck with the Endeavour, hope all goes well ! 👍

Just thought I’d let you know the Endeavor 32 I had under contract had a complete rotted deck core. I walked away. Back on the boat shopping now. Keep up the good content. I’ll be following along.

@@jeffreyhutchinsdo Sorry to hear that. It's unusual because the Endeavour has a deck made of sandwiched plywood, not balsa like a lot of boats. Mine has some pretty good crazing in the gelcoat but the deck is rock solid. Hope you find something good. What are you planning to do with your boat ? Local, Bahamas, ocean ?

@@sailingonabudget Chesapeake this summer maybe up the coast to NY, Mass, and Maine then Bahamas in winter after hurricane season. Then who knows?
