For the jump off the knee part. Taeyong is on the ground and Mark is the one jumping. Taeyong insisted that it be in the choreo because as you can see it's really impactful. Mark just felt bad about having to step on Taeyong.

2:38, actually nct is really known for their rnb vibe they have tons and tons of rnb themed songs with twists, that's why their songs are never boring

SM actually hired a movie fight trainer and martial arts coach to teach the members of NCT-127 how to do the kicks, punches and use the nunchucks, etc. for their "Kick It" MV. If you really want to see how they filmed the MV and song, you should watch the behind the scenes of them recording "Kick It", czcams.com/video/gv7jo80YKas/video.html, and the behind the scenes of them filming the MV, czcams.com/video/uO5Td-cDD-I/video.html. You will be even more impressed when you see how much work and detail went into this MV.
This might even help you to get to know the members a little bit because they will use their names in the English subs when the members do the behind the scenes interviews while filming.
And, switching up the beat and style of the song in the middle of a song is pretty much how all of NCT's songs are structured, as well as the majority of SM Entertainment's songs in general. It's kind of SM's signature style. You will hear that same thing happen in a lot of the songs you listen to from SM. SM always makes sure to have parts that specifically showcase its group's unbelievable vocal abilities and sections that are designed to show off their amazing dance skills.
And if you want to see them in the studio learning the choreography, check out the Uncut dance practice vlog as well, czcams.com/video/3zIGLeE8gvU/video.html.
Most people don't get all the references to Bruce Lee in "Kick It" (Chinese/Korean title "Hero") even though everything is based on being like Bruce Lee -- hence why they say Bruce Lee like a hundred times in the song LOL -- and black and yellow are Bruce Lee's signature colors -- so, that is why "Kick It" used those colors. (Many say this MV reminds them of the Movie "Kill Bill," without realizing that movie is based on Bruce Lee-style action movies and is sort of a homage to Bruce Lee.) As know, the finger move on the side of their nose is a signature Bruce Lee move. Bruce Lee is a Chinese action hero, so even though this is one of the Korean sub-units of NCT, those are Chinese characters you see on the signs in the MV, etc.
SM Entertainment is known for having some of the best dancers and singers in the industry. That is just a fact about the type of people SM selects to be a part of its company. You can't be an SM artist without having amazing singing and dance skills. So even the company's rappers receive intense vocal training. That is why the company has gained the reputation as the vocal powerhouse of the industry, who also happens to have some of the industry's top dancers. All of SM's artists and groups are known for having out-of-this-world vocals and perfect harmonies. SM is an expert at finding and developing the best singers and dancers in Kpop.
If you really want to experience how amazing the NCT members' voices and harmonies are you have to check out NCT-127's Dingo Killing Voice performance that they recently did as part of their "2 Baddies" promotions. The Killing Voice performance showcases NCT-127's live vocals as they perform a compilation of several of their songs, including a number of their B-side tracks. You will fall even more in love with their voices when you see this performance.
NCT-127 (pronounced N C T one two seven) is NCT's second sub-unit, which began in July 2016. NCT-127 currently has 9 or 10 members. This group is more of a fixed unit, so the member lineup stays the same most of the time. The 127 in this unit's name stands for the longitude coordinates of Seoul, South Korea, on a map of the world, which means it's 127's job to represent Seoul -- the birthplace of Kpop -- around the world.
There are 9 members in "Kick it" -- Taeyong (leader of all of NCT, main rapper and dancer, who is also in SuperM), Taeil (main vocalist), Johnny (lead vocalist and sub-rapper), Yuta (lead vocalist), Doyoung (main vocalist), Jaehyun (main vocalist and sub-rapper), Jungwoo (main vocalist), Mark (main rapper and dancer, who also is in SuperM) and Haechan (main vocalist).
NCT -- which stands for Neo (a pop culture term that means new/original) Culture Technology -- currently has 23 members. And the group right now has 4 sub-units -- NCT-U, NCT-127, NCT-Dream and WayV.
The way NCT works is it's a group with an infinite number of members. (There are an unknown number of trainees who are still waiting to debut who could potentially become members of NCT.) As SM Entertainment's male trainees graduate from the training program and SM decides they are ready to debut, they become a member of NCT and they debut as part of one of NCT's sub-units. (They just added 2 new members -- Sungchan and Shotaro -- at the end of 2020, who are expected to eventually become members of a new sub-unit.** )
**NCT probably will be growing to 26 members soon. SM has been showcasing 3 new SMRookies -- Shohei, Eunseok and Seunchan -- lately and they just recently performed at the SMTown concert with Sungchan and Shotaro. So, by all indications, it looks more and more like NCT will be getting 3 new members and they probably will be part of the new unit. It is speculated that the next sub-unit will be a Japanese based unit because Shotaro and Shohei are Japanese and they have recently been doing a lot of promotions in Japan.
NCT is one of the most internationally diverse groups in all of Kpop. The members as a whole currently represent 9 different countries and they speak 8 different languages. For example, there are 10 native Korean members (*Taeyong, Doyoung, Taeil, Haechan, *Jaehyun, Jeno, Jaemin, Jisung, Jungwoo and SungChan), *Mark is Korean-Canadian, *Johnny is Korean-American, Yuta and Shotaro are Japanese, *Ten is Thai, Lucas is Chinese-Thai from Hong Kong, *YangYang is Taiwanese but he grew up in Germany, Hendery is Chinese from Macau (China) and 5 mainland Chinese members (WinWin, Kun, Xiaojun, Renjun and Chenle). However, they all live and work in Korea, so everyone speaks Korean fluently. Plus, many members have attended international schools or lived abroad, so there are several members who are also *fluent in English, on top of speaking 2 or more other languages.
NCT is a group that is constantly changing and rearranging its members and sound and we never know quite what to expect from them. With an infinite number of members and a concept that allows the members to rotate between sub-units, changing, adding and subtracting members depending on the concept and style of the group or song, you should never expect the same thing from them. You are better off always expecting something new, that somehow, also ends up sounding very much like NCT. LOL
Everything NCT does is about dreams, dreaming or being in a dream state. Therefore, that is the story you will see being repeated and referenced in all of their MVs across all of their sub-units. And on top of all that, it's also part of SM Entertainment's SM Culture Universe storyline, so it's connected to all of SM's other groups' MVs and stories, which is why their MVs often have a futuristic, otherworld look and feel to them.
NCT is SM's attempt at taking over the music industry around the world. SM's goal is to eventually have NCT sub-units representing every major city in every country in the world. Some day they hope to, for example, take several Japanese members and create a Japanese sub-unit, or put together members from Thailand and create a Thai sub-unit, etc. It has always been SM's plan to have world domination. And to that point, right now NCT-127 is the group that SM is using to try and get their foothold in the U.S. music market with English versions of song like "Regular" and "Highway to Heaven" and collaborations with American artists such as Jason Derulo, as well as U.S. concert tours and promotional tours with the American media, etc.
So, this year is NCT's 7th anniversary, but debut dates are different for any number of members because it all depends on when they were added to the group. And many of the members of NCT actually became recognized by fans even before debut because they were part of SM's pre-debut group project called SMRookies, so SM did activities with several of the members before they debuted.

EXO is my ult group but if they didn't exist, NCT 127 would be my ult group. I absolutely love them. They're incredibly talented... like it's absurd lol and the visuals are ridiculous in this group.
Mvs I recommend are definitely Cherry Bomb and the Cherry Bomb dance practice (The Cherry version), Ay Yo and the Ay Yo performance video or dance practice and I could go on and on so I will end on the 3rd rec which is their mv for Touch and the performance mv. Now some reactors have said Touch is too commerical sounding but I personally love it. A lot of their others song, are hard and in your face (case in point Kick it lol) but Touch is the softer side of them which is cool to see how versatile they are. They showed they can even pull off the cute concept lol Plus the choreo for Touch is one of my faves
Edited - I forgot Superhuman. That's definitely an mv I recommend. It's amazing

Oh wow, I thought it was going to take you longer to get to them since you said you were doing EXO and SHINee first! Pleasant surprise!
NCT particularly excels at R&B... so much of their discography is infused with it. Whether weaved into hard-hitting hype tracks, or it's the whole song. Their vocals are particularly suited for it.
I suggest checking out their latest release, Ay-Yo next. I'd also say throw in the dance practice for that AND the practice for the b-side they promoted with it, called DJ. It's got a very Stevie Wonder type funk to it and is a great song by itself, but the choreo is really good too.
fyi... 127 is pronounced one two seven, as opposed to one twenty-seven.

NCT One Two Seven Debut July 7th, 2016- is the second sub-unit of NCT. 1 2 7 currently is a fixed unit of nine members. The 1 2 7 stands for the longitudinal coordinate of Seoul SK. The leader of 1 2 7 is Lee TaeYong .
NCT is an acronym for Neo Culture Technology. The concept is a group of having an unlimited number of members.
