Kuruvadweep is an island community of 950 acres in the tributary of the Kabini River . Kurua Island is located in a tributary of Kabani, a river flowing eastwards from Kerala. It is an uninhabited island . A protected area, a variety of birds, medicinal plants and herbs grow here. This island is in Wayanad district of Kerala . This area is a group of about 150 small islands. Therefore, access to the main part of Kurua Island requires a boat or other facilities during flood events. All the islands are accessible on foot through rocky creeks.

On the road from Mananthavadi to Mysore , one kilometer after Kattikulam , you will see the signpost for Kurua Island. Kuruvadweep is 5 kms from here turn right.
