SOD was so much ahead of their time. Their “Whatever Comes First” album would be so popular if released nowadays. I was 9 years old listening to that CD non stop. Still love all their songs and a lot of Drew’s solo stuff. Drew’s Nashville song about leaving was so sad but good.
I am baffled how a garbage "group" like Rascal Flatts blew up so big, but the talented and legit band! of Sons of the Desert were forced to fade into obscurity. Its a shame.
There is something about this song..his voice..his playing..the craft of his ability as a songwriter..By far my favorite singer/ songwriter.
I have always liked Drew Womack and his brother from Sons of the Desert. Drew is such an awesome talent.

Love this song. Gotta catch Drew one day live. Saw Sons years ago when they opened for Yoakum in Atlanta. Still listen to this one a lot.

I would love to know the story behind this song. I read that Drew wrote it about his third grade teacher. Does anyone know?

I miss these guys together. One of my all time favourite bands. Thanks, Sons Of The Desert
And glad Drew continues to write and perform.
SO TRUE
I think it was their management who had a problem.
It was sadly the Dixie Chicks that caused them to get dropped
