    I have to say: your videos are top shelf. You have the right attitude and approach. I've learned that patience is key when diagnosing problems. Keep it up and thank you!

    I followed your great instructions today and fixed the 763 Bobcat. I bought the spring compressor at Oreilly for about $11. Your video was perfect! Thank you. The part about removing the little piece of steel was right on time. I wouldn’t have done it.
    I really didn’t think the sensor was the problem. If I had not seen to remove the little piece of steel, we probably would have sent the computer off for repair. Thanks so much!

    You did a great job! Outstanding. Wish I would have seen this before I did mine. I’m 75 and fought it all the way. Thank you for taking the time to show us dummies!

    a pair of zip ties can compress the spring in conjunction with a vise as well. They are cheaper than the GM door compressor tool and works just a good.

    We used your video to install a sensor. After we completed the work ,we still had issues. We found out it was a much simpler fix. The rubber grommets that the safety bar rests on were completely wore down. This was allowing the bar to drop lower ,and the sensor was not engaged. Your video was very helpful. Just some info for others before they purchase the replacement parts. New grommets are much cheaper

    Awesome, makes sense how it all works. As a old GM tech I learned of KD tools small engine valve spring compressor was the only way to go ! I seen many broken parts and egos from a door spring getting loose. They had a nasty habit on Cadillacs of breaking the windshield from the inside.......

    I'll be doing this repair on my boss's T250 next week. He repaired the sensor a few months ago, I believe his machine is 2006. I'm not sure what he did during the repair, but is there certain things other than slamming the bar back down on the senor that can cause premature failure? When it was going out, you had to repeatedly slam the bar down, it didn't happen all at once, it was more of a slow failure which makes me think something in the initial repair went bad. Any advice would be helpful, thank you for this video and your time.

      They don't fail often, they are usually misdiagnosed when they are replaced

      @@tetradgroup Seems like a very simple design. I just had the door sensor go on my T770 with the forestry kit. I ran my mulcher all last year with that bad sensor, with no issues. After winter, I hooked it up to do a little clean up around my house, and the bloody thing wouldn't run. I had to wait 2 weeks to get that sensor, and they had to steal it off of a new forestry package out of WA somewhere. It works great now!! Greatly appreciate your vids. I love learning about my machine, and my E42 i have rented for the summer. Just got my 50 hour service done on the Excavator on Thursday. After watching a couple of your vids on the E42, I helped my Technician out, while working on it. Thanks again!!!

      Depends on model and serial number, what is the symptoms, any codes, or any flashing light.

    I have A question. I replaced my sensor . And when I’m operating it still gets stuck as if the seat bar went up. I replaced the brake solenoid because bobcat said this is my problem. And sure enough it’s still doing the same thing .. any tips on what else u think it might be ?

    • @tetradgroup
      @tetradgroup  Před rokem

      Depends on the model really. One thing to check is the alternator output voltage, if it is overcharging then the system will lock up on you.

    • @djyork5453
      @djyork5453 Před rokem

      @@tetradgroup Thanks for this as it makes sense as to my symptoms. I have a 773 SN 517619292 This thing will drive me crazy locking up at times and other times it operates just fine. I think I've started to find a pattern of it doing it more frequently after sitting for a while. My working theory is that the battery is possibly weak and the alternator is working hard to charge it initially. After operating it for a bit and getting the battery built back up it seems to lock up far less frequently or maybe stop all together for the remainder of the day. Does this make sense?

    Bobcat says nothing about that little metal bar. Nothing in the service manual no advisory in or on the box, had to look through the case files to figure out why 2 sensors in a row wouldn't work.
