MIT, whoever your audio guy is, tell him not to use the gate so aggressively.
Yeah, it makes listening to this guy close to impossible.
I want to listen very much, but am unable to.
A good possible MIT study might be testing how audio with this flaw could be used as torture on some people.
Thank you MIT and Professor Chen!
for what ... you understood what he teached ???
I love MIT OCW, but sadly this audio quality was too bad for me to get through
At 2:26 he is talking about a Nash-equilibrium, just to fix the subtitles!
Thanks yo!
the audio gets a little better at 45:00
The narrative of this content is incredibly thought-provoking. A similar book I read brought about lasting change. "Game Theory and the Pursuit of Algorithmic Fairness" by Jack Frostwell
AUDIO IS TERRIBLE. to follow the lecture good audio is way more important than resolution etc.
It has been repaired now, I guess
I know I am extra sensitive and this will not be most people's case, but I could not bare to watch the video with the audio like this.
Great topic. Speaker probably very knowledgeable. Audio of the video - absolutely not MIT…
Very disappointing audio, guys😢😢.. since audio is so bad, wud u mind confirming that the subtitles are at least very accurate?.. cos I wud watch the video on mute at this stage
+untwerf Yes, the subtitle should be accurate. They are not the CZcams automated kind. ;)
+MIT OpenCourseWare There is an error in the subtitles at 11:48 : the lecturer says "no equilibrium" but the subtitles read "an equilibrium".
+Catcrumbs Thanks for the note! It's been fixed.
no they are not accurate, it often says inaudible and i can also not understand the audio. I wonder how anyone can follow this lecture at all.
Fix your mic problem!!
Thank You 🙏
i studied in berlin and the math professors teached math exactly like this dude ... throw a bunch of crazy complex sum formulas with a bunch of random letters up there and dont explain it plus give zero shits when 90percent understood only blablabla...
Yes and if you dare to ask a question they will tell you its trivial and does not need any further proof 😉
would there be any differences in attitudes and approach towards students in other German unis, say LMU Münich for instance?
@@sirzatyenen3200Nope, i'd bet its even worse in Munich, at least at TUM it is
it's a shame we can't see the presentation in addition to the speaker.

@@ferlino123 my man!! 👍🏻
👍👍👍👍👍
That guy exactly like what I imagine a math professor would look like !!
poor you
until 16 minutes in.
MIT should fire the a/v guys and use screencapture software that syncs with the audio. Nobody wants to see the lecturer, only the slides.
Game Theory Poker Example
• The following game is played with Rose and Colin. Each
player antes $50 for a $100 pot. Rose looks at a card
from a full deck. Rose will win the pot at showdown if the
card is a Spade, otherwise she will lose.
• Rose can decide to bet $100 or check.
• If Rose bets, Colin may decide to call $100 or fold. If
Colin folds, Rose wins, if Colin calls there is a showdown
for the $300 pot.
• What are the best strategies for Rose and Colin?
anyone understand this example?
what if both rose and colin have spade
what does that part about 8 of heart coming from
From the information you gave I understand: That Rose has 1/4 chance of winning. So Colin has a 3/4 chance of winning. Therefore Rose should not Raise, because Colin would always call.
Seems like your example is missing some information.
Like of there is no spade does Colin win? Or do they draw?
If they draw Colin should fold.
@@codemaster4261 hi, in poker there is very rare to have draw, yes, if Rose doesn't win, she most likely will lose
Is this guy from the Big Bang Theory?
Dislike because of the audio
dislike because even audio is good its not clear what he says or teaches

Kind of... Simple. Every person that is subjected to bribery... Must be made aware of portions of their files, and what is in store for them and their families (people with wives & kids are more likely to accept bribes) if they get to know too much. This will force the game into plain and pure "strong-arming." But you know... Science is quasi-emprical.
whats wrong wlth you
MIT seriously? how are you producing videos with such poor production quality?
Seriously, it's because we get videos from many sources. Some are recorded by a TA or a professor with a camera in the back of the room *or* handheld cellphone (and the person changes from portrait to landscape... yes, seriously)-at one end of the spectrum. Some are multi-camera, HD, live switched, audio of the speaker and of the students on separate channels-at the other end of the spectrum.
Honestly just be happy that it's free and available...
