Steve is the genuine Modfather. Nobody can compare...the voice..the style! RIP Steve.
Steve was at his most stunning in this period. And what a voice he had.
I still love Steve Marriott. Great vocalist, guitarist, good looking w a lot of charisma. Never get tired of watching videos of him. RIP
What a multi talented Group.Steve Marriotts voice still brings a tear to my eye even now.God bless the Little Geniuos
Steve Marriott......So talented. Not to mention good looking. Still in love with him after all these years. Gone way too soon.
What a incredible band the small faces were and Steve Marriott's voice is just awesome
What an incredible voice and charisma.
If ever one song showed his talent more than any other it is this , his range is stunning , so gifted and yet so humble , the true Mod father
Steve Marriot really sang from the gut. He gave songs great feeling and bite.
This song was a window into Stevie's soul: Simple and innocent, yet profoundly deep.
lovely steve ,what a voice ..........
Man the small faces were amazing. I Was born 3 years after this song was released. Shame what happened to Marriot and Lane we lost alot of talent in the 90s and these two were real raw natural talent unlike the crap that is pushed out to kids today. Simon Cowell destroyed music while Steve and Ronnie created it back then using their imagination, experiences and energy! I wish kids today could understand that music should be made with heart rather than a computer in a room. These guys learnt the hard way in pubs and clubs rather than behind a computer in some kids bedroom or some regujitated algorithm thats pushed out by the corporation and establishment.
I was born 34 years after this song was released. I feel lucky when i find music from today that is made with heart but sadly the creators are not recognized, i know what you're talking about
Aye, they really were. I was born in 2010 but my daddys a massive fan of them, so i grew up mostly with a skinhead based surrounding if that makes any sense, and i dont think id ever want to change that way of growing up
Today's music has zero sole.
The last new artist that I appreciated was Avril lavignes first two albums 20 years ago.
Well done sir - fantastic work. Great to see the boys having fun horsing around, even if the manager was half starving them to death while dining out every night on their genius.
Thanks for taking the time to do this - much appreciated
Have loved this song since it came out in 1967 - beautiful.
So beautiful. Most underrated band ever.
Totally agree. Steve was so talented. Years ahead of his time. Loved him then, love him now.
What a captivating voice Like a intriguing book you can't put down till the last word Highly respected
Pure magic Steve's voice and what a band the Small Faces were ... I have them playing every morning to exercise to
Lip-Synch or not, this is the band at the height of their creativity. An absolute masterpiece of a song, that captures the spirit of a glorious artistic period, never to be repeated.
I don't think they were lip syncing that was back in the days when people could sing without a computer
@@wayneramquist4392 They were _definitely_ lip synching. Computer or no computer ;)
He actually hated lip syncing and all things pop. I get a real laugh at this vid as he even stops altogether and cant stop grinning at Ronnie. As for pre lip sync it was standard practice on all these teeny bopper shows . He left the band as he wanted to be recognised for the great musician he was and with Peter Frampton formed and performed with Humble Pie. As good as The small Faces were, he made his real mark with Humble Pie which depicted his and Framptons lack of desire for stardom over being a recognised music Star.@@blackmore4
@@wayneramquist4392 They were lipsyncing. Watch Steve where he loses his place
This song makes me cry every time I hear it. Absolutely soul wrenching. 💕💕
that lovely voice will grab your heart strings everytime ^_^
Terrific song...and Steve is beautiful!
The Small Faces A Superb Group Of Musicians, Had The Pleasure Of Seeing Them Live On A Number Of Occasions The Raw Energy They Produced Live On Stage Was Absolutely Unbelievable, Stevie Marriots Voice Topping It All Off .
My Favourite Group Of The Sixties By A Country Mile So Lucky To Have Been An Original Mod Boy Listening To Tamla Motown/ Atlantic And All The Other R&B ,Soul Music, Which Along With The Small Faces Music Still Sounds As Fresh As It Did In The Sixties.
STEVE MARRIOTT WAS BEST EVER PERFORMER. HE ENJOYED ENTERTAINING AND IS SADLY MISSED.HE WILL STILL BE SINGING WHERE EVER HE IS.
Outstanding song. full of Steve’s Passion & Soul one. Of my all time favourites😊
I am watching this over and over ... his reactions to the lyrics are priceless
He was alive. Unlike most, who walk about in a catatonic state staring down at the oracle in their palms.
What a Voice ❤
Love this song 💜🎶🎸🎼 Steve Marriott performance, really feels the music. A true soul brother 🥰🙏🏽
Haha he's pissed off because he has to lip synch. That's our Steve for sure
Was für ein prägendes Musikjahr 1967 war . Danke Small Faces
That little trumpet/kazoo thing at the end is genius
Omg!..... So 2020 this track!....... The small faces are the best and most underrated band ever!...... They are a national treasure!... 😜👌🔥💞🌹💞
I fell in love with Steve Marriott, when I was ten years old and I still love the song ITCHYCOO PARK to this day, it still brings a tear to my eye, that he died so young. RIP ❤. Thank you
Beautiful song and a fantastic singer with a superb band behind him. ❤❤❤❤
I'm a fan of Steve Marriott belting out the vocals, but I really enjoyed this. He had a very sweet voice as well, when he wanted to use it that way.
ALSO BECAME LIKE YOU VERY NICE
SMALL FACES NOTHING BIGGER
NOTHING BETTER😊😊😊😊😊
gone but never forgotten ^.^
It almost makes you cry when you realize he's gone....
It’s weird, I don’t often have any emotional attachment to people I don’t know, apart from Steve Marriott, no idea why, maybe the under appreciation of his immense talent, just sad that (IMO) the greatest singer The UK ever produced went so early
Makes you cry to know how terribly ripped off he was by bad managers, record companies, promoters. I mean, it seems he couldnt trust anybody. Add to that his drugs and alcohol use that wont on for decades and it is just a sad tale of a brilliant talent, a charismatic, dynamic man. Then considering the way he died, alone, confused in a heavily smoke filled upper room. If thats not a complete tragedy, I dont know what is. Will always miss and love him.

I have no idea why your comment hasn't the likes of each and every fab of him.
I mean, I just _llike_ and appreciate him, and I think lke you, and the tragedy of his life presses my heart like a cold fist. It is gruesome what life did to this talented guy, which just wanted to make music, and deserved so much, but got nearly nothing.
My very best greetings to you!
One thing I forgot: I was three years old when Sha la la la Lee came out, but believe or not, I remember it from back then. We did not have that record. It did not ran I'm the radio my Grandfather listened to. My Mother prefered different music, even thought the Beatles were disgusting (she told me later she just learned to accept then when I started to have their records and enjoyed their music in maybe 1975). My sister was just six. I do not know from where I knew it; it must have been literally everywhere; I even remember the bare twigs snd the wet and cold spring air and the way to the kindergarten In that age and time, please do not laugh, dd I think God looked like those young mods.
I. I often think, this tells all, when a three year old which had official no contact with that kind of music, likes a song and remembers it the whole life.
@@winterweib Thank you so much for your mind words and insight. I enjoyed reading about your journey in music as a young person along with your Mom and sister. I was 12 in 1966 so for that precious short span of Small Faces time I was ages 12 to 14, and in the U.S. Interesting that I do remember the mods on their scooters, in their fashionable clothes in England and wishing I could experience it! Forward to 1971 to 75, I remember Humble Pie, of course Steve Marriott with his soaring range of voice and good looks. Such a mesmerizing person! He was never small but the largest of talent and charisma. I even had the Smokin' album then and listened to it over and over, turned up the stereo much to my parents dismay I am sure. Then years later coming across videos and documentaries about Steve and even finding a sort of penpal in Florida who also admired him greatly. We have conversed about and I have exchanged gifts with her including photos of Steve, recordings and books. Oh the books. All or Nothing is heartbreaking especially when you consider the Marriott family endorsed that book. All Too Beautiful and Jerry Shirley's Best Seat in the House provide additional context and substantiation. I dont believe I have ever felt this way about another singer. I guess because he died so tragically without ever knowing how admired and emulated he was (Paul Weller, Oasis). Peace and love to all admirers of Steve Marriott, the true Mod.
Wonderful Steve! Too beautiful music! Thank you for sharing.
Love it - I was very excited when I found it on the B side of Itchycoo Park
@@jandenhartog4303 Used to have the single. B-sides were often shite. This was a masterpiece.
Except from the Beatles. There B sides could have made No1 on their own.
@@walterceuppens6988 I bought it for Itchycoo Park but ended up continually playing this B side
Steve Marriott had the sort of charisma that Bruce Lee had. They just captured your attention. I think they call it charisma.
This clip of Steve Marriott is so lovely and he makes us love him more, God bless you, you just had a pile of bad luck, thanks for what you left behind for us, you live on Sxxx
God bless you Steve Marriott - there'll never be another you. 28 years ago today - RIP
beautiful...beyond.
Thoes young faces looking so happy..........WOW
Right on! Thanks for sharing this!
He still lives on in faded flickering films such as these.
he's pure magic, im so in love w marriott
I will add myself to the rest of admiring women. There will never be another like him.
@GIL Favor I had to research Terry Reid as I did not know him. I found a 2007 interview with Robert Plant in which he said, when he was young he wanted to be Steve Marriott. But Terry Reid seems to have a similar voice. Dont know anything about his personality. I always felt Steve Marriott was just so full of energy, so dynamic. He just took over the spotlight because he had that charisma thats hard to define.
Brilliant. One of my favourite tracks (of all time).
Best b side song ever, so mellow yet so bluesy and raw, Fab song and memory of being 15yrs old.
GREAT CLIP too thanks man fantastic
Wow, goosebumps. This is just fantastic! Thanks for doing this!
They are all great. As a group they were better, In 1967 i was still wearing short trousers and was deeply unhappy. The Small Faces made life bearable. And this was better than the A side.
I STILL LOVE HIM 2!!!! ❤
Love him ans The Small Faces wonderful !!!
Thank you !!!
The best Rock voice ever!!!

I’ve played this three times over and it never gets old
Got to be the best band of the decade, my big sis adored them I now follow her .....
This is my equivalent of a fan-cam, thank you so much for posting this!
If the smile on my face
Doesn't mean much any more
Then its all been just a waste of time
So wont you close your door
But when I look into your eyes
I feel there's still something there
And something's all I need to hold on to
I can lie to myself
I still care
I still care about the way...
And the little things you say
Won't you please come out to play
I'm only dreaming
I'm only dreaming
What good does dreaming do, when you're nowhere?
I got nobody to hold on to,
But I keep on smiling, crying
See me walking down the street
Just turn your head and walk away
'Cos by now you ought to know how I feel
and there's no more
I'm only dreaming
I'm only dreaming
Oh, yeah
Got to know what I mean
When you see him, he looks like a small boy. But when he starts singing it blows you away. Amazing voice and style. R.I.P. I still love him.
Not only does the CD version have extra vocals, it has lost the "Baby baby baby..." bit at the start of the outro - which is one of my favourite bits. In fact, it's a totally different recording - at least as far as the vocal goes. I prefer the Hell out of this one: thank you so, so much for posting it with this footage - which I hadn't seen until today. Love it xx
Such a beautiful man great talent greater lost to us all
My favourite Small Faces song . . .
Happy Heavenly Birthday Steve Marriott, wherever you may be ,am sure you still rocking it! R.I.P. Steve.X
Song always makes me kinda emotional...strange - long live the small faces.
Nice upload! One of my fav SF tunes.
Thank you! I actually believe this version is better, compared to the "new" stereo one.
Greetings from Ukraine
Steve Marriott passed away the year I was having my second baby in 1991. He was only 44 years old. He never sold out! He did his music because he enjoyed it. If the truth was told, I heard he didn't even live in a big house like you know, a lot rich people live? He just lived a simple place with his dogs and animals and that makes me love him even more! 19 years difference and I bet he never even dreamed the after he's been passed away for 28 years that we would all be on here rocking and enjoying the music he made. Could you imagine all of the great songs he would have done if he would have not passed away so early in life. I am truly sorry for his family's loss but it was also a loss to the world. Very talented man! He does all the moves and the guys just look at him and Bob their head and he's really getting down!
Steve was a beautiful guy
Met him once, a beyond humble man
Soooooo good . Can't be beaten😎
Fantastic!
I pray that you have peace where your at, & I will continue to play your music & whisper your name in my midnight prayers, thank you for the sweet music you left for us to enjoy, my wish for you is again peace. We will met up you again, & that is the wish I have for all of us still here,
he is sow awsome
thank god love this song ,love his smile ,rip steve
this is really good
Amazing talent
I love Steve marriot bless him ♥ I love the small faces full stop.
💖💖💖Small Faces the original MOD band BRILLIANCE
♥ Steve Marriott! ♥
Steve Marriott was unique. You can’t pigeonhole him by saying he was this or he was that. He was unique which means there was nobody else like him.
For Marty Locke...a huge fan of the Small Faces...rest easy Marty..'Freaky beaky...' ✌️
Beautiful ❤️
always loved this track, what a fucking singer....SOUL
Need to make a biography movie on steve ...it be a sad watch for those who took him for a ride and ripped him off ..but he was in love with music and sadly like many in his day drink n drugs ...but wat a movie it could be R.I.P Steve x wish i was alive in the 60s to see ya live like this
I agree. The documentary that was done lacked quality and it seems so strangely pieced together. A movie would be great but maybe it would be filled with all the disappointments. I mean, although he was still able to belt out his songs and hus phrasing was spot on, cocaine ruined him and his personal relationships, too many women, children in England, in the US, in Canada....rock and roll life carried on his entire life. Sad
Wonderful vid of one of my Small Faces fav song
Absolutely love Steve Marriot! Best ever! No🐂💩 from him like some have. Gone too soon😢❤🙏
What a great song , pop and blues at the same time ... and playback was fun too !
He did a lot of covers live with humble pie and said some song's was too pain ful to sing live when teased from his m8 why he did covers but this song all smiles ,never seen this .
Thats great for ever 👍
Lovely lovely Steve ❤
best band ever!
Sublime band.
Steve Mariott did so much in his 44 years on this earth and Ronnie Lane was also such a special artist, passing away at age 51. It's so wonderful that their performances are documented. RIP, Steve & Ronnie............
Too good!
What a singer what a group of the 60s
