Rumi is not talking about a woman . He’s referring to Shams. A poet he met who was so deep and so humble that he gave up his religion and fell deeply in love with a poet . Not in a gay way . He fell in love with his soul !

@@khangaldi Rumi is talking about God who hides in the resemblances of Shams Tabrizi. And who through the tongue of Shams made of Rumi a Sufi mystic, and poet of mysteries.

@@love-sk7rb there are lots of references to the GOD but there is nothing suggesting it’s allah… as a matter of fact Izad, Mazda and Mehr are abundantly mentioned in his poets but not a single word of allah 😂
the only religions that he has positively mentioned in his poets is Iranian Mithraism (Mehr parasti) and Zoroastrianism.
He even got a verse that mentions
“From within we are the guardians of sun” that can be a reference to almost any of the known Iranian religions but definitely not Islam 😂
Also in a verse towards Shams he says “ when I saw the love of Izad toward you… I found my way toward you” and Shams himself was a known believer of Mehr

    I'll become so mad

    that your eyelashes cast
    upon my heart.

The Masnavi, or Masnavi-ye-Ma'navi (Persian: مثنوی معنوی‎), also written Mathnawi, or Mathnavi, is an extensive poem written in Persian by Jalal al-Din Muhammad Balkhi, also known as Rumi. The Masnavi is one of the most influential works of Sufism, commonly called "the Quran in Persian".[1] It has been viewed by many commentators as the greatest mystical poem in world literature.[2] The Masnavi is a series of six books of poetry that together amount to around 25,000 verses or 50,000 lines.[3][4] It is a spiritual text that teaches Sufis how to reach their goal of being truly in love with God.[5]

دو پاره کف بود ایران و توران
Iran and Persia both are mentioned in archaeological remains millenniums before Rumi 😅

@@JAWIID no of course he is not mistaking.
After all we are created by god and we are a reflection of god`s idea.
This is why earthly love exist. Its a practice to learn about love in order to be ready to experience gods love.
Face of god is letterally everywhere . People, sands, trees, sky, everywhere you look , you are looking at reflection of god. And thats exactly what molana was saying

Absolutely beautiful. Rumi's poetry is not superficial. You have to really have a deep understanding of the world maybe beyond this one to comprehend the true significance...the words don't always mean what we perceive. That's the depth of Rumi. The greatest of all poets in the history of the world in my humble opinion.

What a deep meaning! He does not sing about the love between man and woman but about the love for God.
Not God, who is taught in religion, he sings about the divine energy that surrounds all life and matter and cannot be found outside of yourself

Lyrics in the song by Rumi talks about state of " libration" , by elimination of " Self " ,"I" , "myself" "mine " "me" also giving up "fame/name" and subsequently meeting "Divine universal Love " , dissolving in ,and becoming one ,with "beloved" . That is what ,we know in the west as state of "Union" . It is the core of all Sofi's poetry .If you understand those lyrics, even by translation , and get to know the phylosophys behind , and between those lines ,then that song will take you to a fantastic mystically ecstatic level !! No words and no thoughts can explain or picture it..... only Music and poetry, hand by hand....no efforts needed.....
