- New restaurants, offices and shopping centres in England will be required to provide single-sex toilets under changes to the law ministers say will “alleviate safety, privacy and dignity concerns”.
Women and equalities minister Kemi Badenoch said the move will end “the rise of so-called ‘gender-neutral’ mixed sex toilet spaces, which deny privacy and dignity to both men and women”.
The legislation will mean that new non-domestic buildings must install separate toilet facilities for men and women, or, if there is not enough space, self-contained universal toilets, which are a fully-enclosed toilet room containing a sink and hand dryer.
Jess Gill, communications manager for Ladies of Liberty, said that trans people who wanted to chop their genitals off, would be "quite an objectively crazy thing", and a great portion of women "do not feel safe with biological men who identify as trans" entering bathrooms.

Jess is completely wrong in thinking that letting business do what they want will work, because most women stay silent about how uncomfortable they are in mixed-sex spaces.
She is also ignoring the fact that most sexual assaults that happen in toilets and changing rooms are committed against women in mixed-sex spaces.
Women and girls need protection whether they explicitly demand it or not. The only way to guarantee it is to make mixed-sex communal toilets, etc. illegal.
So are you! Mixed sex spaces have men that will prohibit or protect women if harassed by other men. Maby get some actual facts b4 spewing ur nonsense.

This has been so needed. There is a bar near me in Rawtenstall, I won't put its name up but tigers like to lounge there, where the 'gender neutral' toilet (the only toilet in the building} has men and women not only share the same space but has a urinal in open view of everyone going into the space! Absolutely abhorrent and since my one and only visit there I will NEVER go there again until the situation is changed - it is dangerous.
Sounds like you were in some backwoods with no running water , electricity or toilet role --- hard to believe that such places exist in the 21 St century.

Men’s and women’s separate toilets has worked perfectly well up until recently, I think we should stick to this system. Men go into the men’s and women use the women’s…..easy.

Because of our female biology, women have to remove more clothing to use the toilet. Because of our biology women don't just urinate and defecate like men, they menstruate and miscarry.
Because of our biology we are more likely to suffer UTIs and incontinence as a result of giving birth.
Because of our biology we are more likely to be carers for infants (due to lactation for e.g) and so we are likely to be supporting children using the toilets or changing nappied.
It takes an average 30 seconds longer for a woman to urinate than a man, all because of our female anatomy.

Around here the local McDonald's and Burger King have gender neutral single occupant toilets. Wasing room outside are completly open, there is no wall at all towards the resturant area. But in any case building mixed gender toilets should be a choice, not a requirement.

The romans had the huge open unisex toiletrooms for like 60 people. That changes through history. I think we should have private toilets for single persons at least for 100 years now. On disenabling all gender restoroom on bar, i disagree. Very often there are small reallity that still need a very small bar with only a bathroom, or even without one. Surgery could be sound crazy, it doesn't mean is bad, it need more deepness. People are crazy, so medicine could be deeper of that crazyness when required.
