great to see a review on open faced helmets without the judgmental comments on the obvious, well done

I do open face for pillion because they’re lighter and more portable. Don’t have the stones to wear myself; full face all the way for me. That said, I go for the cool-factor for my pillions and this DMD is right on the mark. Thanks for posting.

Hi Tim, I currently have an AGV X3000 helmet in size ML (57-58) which fits me perfectly. I believe the X3000 is meant for people with a long oval headshape. I’m looking for an open face alternative and was wondering if this has a similar shape? If so, what size should I get? Thanks for the help!

I m interested in an oro malindi but I m a bit lost with the sizes.I own a DMD Vintage which is labeled size M 56. But if I look up the current sizes then M would be 58. That makes me wonder, whether I might have one of the old sizes, when there was a M1 and a M2 and only two shell sizes. My M 56 fits perfectly and I like the shell size, but how does that translate to the current line of sizes and shells? And how do carbon and fiber class helmets compare in size? Should I go for S 56?

I have a Daytona, but was considering the DMD Vintage for an even lower profile

Daytona is WAY smaller in profile. I own both. DMD is also very dishonest about having three shell sizes when they do NOT. Only two shell sizes are what they offer although claiming three. How do I know? Ordered two different sizes in the same order/shipment from Italy (S and L) and they are IDENTICAL in exterior size although the L SHOULD be in the larger shell size ...but deny this in conversation over email and on the phone to your face practically. Spent over seven hundred hundred U.S. Dollars for both yet the company lies to you. Unbelievably disappointed in them. Comfy an light helmet if you go for the handmade in Italy version that is Carbon/Kevlar. But, be prepared to look like a bobblehead. No way around that fact.

Hey Tim, does this lid squish your glasses into your head? Or was it comfortable?

Hi, a few colleagues wear the DMD Vintage with glasses and all is fine, they find it comfortable! - Iza

Hi I’m interested in getting one. I’m unsure on the size that would best suit me. I measure 56cm which by the chart puts me in the medium but I’m curious about real life day to day use if I might be better off w a Small. Thanks
