Totally agree!!! Makes me exciting to travel again, too!
What I realize last year on this channel is that US are BORING as hell
@@maciejroszak2707 the US doesn't care what you think.
Bob and his dad jokes....just like Rick Steves. No wonder you love him.
@listen and relax â no adfvkdi
They're actually great jokes xD
Isnât it awesome how us citizens and green card holders are allowed to travel to the Eu and return back home. But Eu citizens who work and live in the us are banned from visiting home because they are not allowed to return to the US. Couples and families have been separated for 17 monthsâŠ.
That "bold singing italian man" you just happened upon, is Andrea Bocelli. Known for con te partiro he's one of the best opera singers in the world. I'm not jealous at all.
It appears they were both in Rome for the start of the Euro Championship football, Andrea Bocelli did appear in Rome around that time, hence the huge Italian flag, it could have been a rehearsal of the orchestra without Bocelli, but a sight to see and so jealous, , the final is tonight 8pm BST, England Vs Italy, England all the way,
That's not Bocelli
@@davidgraham6823 it did not come home
Not Andrea.
Thats not Andrea bocelli Im Italian and io know That he is not Andrea bocelli
Iâm so jealous of seeing all that stuff in Rome without the tourists.
Right?! Now is totally the time to go!! Covid did bring on some positive things đđŒ
@Veronica Pascucci I totally agree! Was in Rome July 7th to 13th and it was the BEST visit I've had to the city. Was able to visit the Vatican museum and Colosseum without being shoulder to shoulder with other tourists and the city was much less crowded than it normally would be this time of the year. And the celebrations after Italy won the Euro 2020 championship were insane, felt like the city kind of exploded with joy!
âLetâs all talk about how our cocktails describe our personality!â Bob: âMine is missing.â
đ€Ł
Kara "I love mine".
Literally has no personality. The chicks is about the most obnoxious (faking beaming happiness) ever
@@nickmotta8246 no one's making you be here
@@nickmotta8246 then why did you bother to comment
The zoom in on Kara when she was over it on the tour just made my day
"it's getting closer maybe for your feelings"
literally, love that employee lol
I love Bobâs corny jokes. Out of all of the wine Iâve hadâŠthis is the most recent. Iâm definitely using that đ
I love that you are being present in the moment and listening to someone give a tour at your own pace!
â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
It's difficult to do when the city and attractions are packed with tourists.
@@ytlurker220 definitely
That is literally what I'm going to do next time I visit the Colloseum. Just block out the tourists chatter, and the people flow, with headphones on. đ€đŒđ

Bob's face while Kara explains italian food would be like: "Woman, you got it all wrong"
I love how much you love listening to Rick Steves tours!
That couple seems like the worlds perfect dinner companions. All relaxed and having fun just enjoying life. Great to see you out in the world again
Seeing Rome without the crowds - a once in a lifetime experience. Glad to see you jetsetting again. CZcams just hasn't been the same without you.
Couldn't agree more
The bold italian man singing looks like Andrea Bocelli, the greatest living Operatic Tenor. And you got to hear him for free and didn't know!
OMG, yes its him! You were so lucky @karaandnate ! :)
Yesss. Thatâs exactly my thoughts. I was like wait!! I know who that is!! A true Legend
Yes! I was shouting at the video thatâs Andrea Bocelli! An Italian National treasure!
Yes, as soon as I heard the voice I knew it was Andrea Bocelli!
Yesss! I was just about to post a comment! He's a living legend!
I love Rick Steves. He's like, the OG of travel content. Before i got addicted watching travel vloggers like you guys, i watched Rick. Y'all give people like me a window to the world!
Loved how you guys paired with the special guests who were able to show the full Italian (dinner) experience. I definitely learned a lot through it! Would also love to see more travel videos where you both can fully immerse yourselves into that culture with people who can aid that experience :)
The way Bob looks at her, just tickled by her thrill of discovery and excitement. Very endearing.
I noticed that too!
my goal in life is to find a love like these two have.
You'll find your Monica Gellar one day!
I have some weed, wanna come over? LOL
âout of all proseccos Iâve ever had, this is âŠâŠ the most recentâ :D
đđđBob and Gina!! Omg I teared up when you hugged them!!!
The way that I dropped everything when I got this notification đ„ł

âAl denteâ actually means âto the teethâ and itâs when the pasta still has a bit of resistance when you bite it.
Loved to see Rome again, by far the most beautiful city I've ever visited in the world! I recognized nearly every street and place you guys filmed at. (One of the best Tutti Frutti you can get in Rome is right across the square at the Pantheon where you we're sitting.)
Also great to see you guys on foreign ground again. You missed it and we've missed it. Things are finally getting back to normal! đ
"not easy to get to" is a very bold statement, when you consider that Italians who work and live in the US are not allowed to visit their own country for over 17months because the US would not let them back in.
The travel ban is still in place and it is a privilege to be on vacation while others try to fight for their right to reunite with their families.
Give it a rest if ur not going to enjoy the video leave
How sad.
@@ryand4737 I think it is absolutely right that people are allowed to travel again. Speaking out about discrimatory travel restrictions is in my opinion important, especially when you visit a country where so many are disadvantaged by the proclamations.
When you talk about how hard it is to get into a country, they should also talk about that it is impossible for some others.
Iâve literally watched this ever since the first video, it has never been boring đ€Șđ€Șđ€Ș
@Be nice pppp
Yes!! It really is like the good old days!! I canât tell you how happy I was to see this new TRAVEL VLOG!! You donât realize how much you take for granted until itâs gone. So appreciative to have yâall back to traveling and making awesome stuff to entertain us all!
As a European traveling in the US, this table turnover thing in restaurants always felt weird and almost rude to me. Getting the bill in the middle of our main course or being asked to choose a dessert while still eating our main course feels really stressful.
I said "when Kara and Nate travel internationally again that's when I will"... I just booked my first international flight in 18 months
Happy travels. Where are you going?
I think a Rick Steves future meet-up, is in order. Just sayin.
Is he really famous in America? I have never heard of him and I live in the English speaking world outside America.
@@EchoBravo370 I lived in Canada for 10 years and he was on TV every week on PBS (which we got from a station in Buffalo, NY), so he's pretty famous in Canada as well.

Oh god, I miss Rome and I feel so relaxed just listening while working.... from home. Thank you guys! We try to go around March to May and have had luck missing most crowds.
Glad y'all are back at it! We loved our trip to Italy. I was a little thrown off some by all of the Graffiti on these amazing historical buildings. Thank you for allowing us to relive our wonderful time in Rome. Seeing the coliseum the first time actually took my breath away.
6:23 -"That's pretty neat", Kara you missed the chance of impressing Rick steves by saying " That's pretty Nate". I'm sure he would have been happyđ

This made me cry.. I miss Italy so much! đ THANK YOU for this. I needed this!
Love that the world is finally getting back to some level of normal. Great to see you guys traveling internationally again.
IKR! This is light at the end of the tunnel
But its not getting back to normal... Sydney Australia and New Zealand back on lockdown. Ontario Canada still on lockdown. I still wouldnt be travelling yet
@@shaniadirstein3650 I'm not travelling yet too (lol no reason/opportunity to). But I know multiple people who have travelled to USA from Asia within the last week for like family gatherings and stuff. So things are crawling back to "normal"
18:17 those guys singing are the "vigili del fuoco", literally the firefighters. Here in Italy it's common that public services have their own orchestras like the police, carabinieri etc
This reminds me so much of when my dad and I went to Rome in early March ten years ago. So empty and relaxing, and so so beautiful â€
This video here... my perfect video. Rome has never looked better, more beautiful more inviting. Getting to see these sites without throngs of people is incredible. And the company... I mean, can I just... Bob & Gina are literally THE. BEST. Seriously, breaking bread with them is the reason why a 5 hour dinner does not seem long enough! If I ever get to their neck of the woods, I'd love to share a meal with them. One of my all-time favorite videos right here. â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Whenever Kara and Nate post I WATCH IMMEDIATELY
Yes, and I had to grab my laptop because I didn't want to watch it on my phone:)

Rome and Venice are our top cities in the world. After 18 months of continuous travel thru Europe it is so nice to see it again. Like you, we came to home due to Covid. Our borders are still closed. Enjoy. It is so special. Love from Auckland, New Zealand

You made me wait until late at night to watch this! Love you guys, I'm sure you'll look back at this with fond memories as you're lucky to be able to travel during a shaky time for the world. Don't forget how good international travel is, these vlogs are the best.
wow 13:35 kara i could not agree with you more. there is something so beautiful about hearing only foreign languages. like a nice break from english i donât even know what it is, but you mentioning that made me realize i love that about travelling to not overly touristy places too
I went with my husband to Italy (including Rome) in fall 2019 and this video made me want to cry when I saw the familiar sites. We fell in love with Italy on our trip and I can wait to return. Thank you for sharing, love your videos!
I am sorry to say that I only discovered your channel a few weeks ago. They have been fantastic weeks though. Iâve been binge watching you flogs shamelessly from your âfrom the beginningâ playlist and have just completed it. Love your passion, drive and content. It's awesome to see Bob and Gina again. Emotional.
This was just fantastic. I visited Rome for the first time in January 2020. I was taking students on a school trip and found Rome, just like you did, partially empty as we were travelling in the off season. I absolutely loved Rome and your video brought me to tears. I hope that one day soon I can travel again and do Rome and Europe all over again. Thank you so much for a gorgeous video
You know what I love about Kara and Nate? That they make the best out of literally anything. So many people could have easily be bummed out about Rome being "empty" but nope, they're just taking it as their advantage. I LOVE you guys
Having you back in Europe is great news. While I am from the US, my heart feels more at home in Europe. Europe has so many good places to share. I am booked to be back in Europe in less than 2 months myself. Keep your fingers crossed that no new crap develops to ruin all of our lives again.
