Have you noticed most of the songs he writes are so simply put together in terms of instruments used? Like he usually sticks to piano or something simple when it comes to the vulnerable love songs. 😢 So sweet! I find myself usually gravitating to the ones he's written on One Direction albums.
for me, to write a beautiful love song, you need to experience love. and the fact that he wrote it while being so young (when he also wrote just a little bit of your heart), makes me sad and impressed at the same time.

Like the last line in the chorus "now you don't want me to" implies that Harry is still in love with Louis, but Louis broke up with him or doesn't reciprocate for some reason. A few of the other lyrics that support this are;

The song is great and Alex and Sierra really nailed it but i was fascinated how some lyrics kinda reminded me of some of Taylor's songs. Like the "While we laid there on the soft warm ground" in the first lines of the girl's part on the other hand Taylor's "I Knew You Were Trouble" had "And now I'm lying on the cold hard ground." Another is the line "For a week and 13 days.", we all know that Tay's fave number is actually 13. One more thing is the "I didn't come back and I wasn't there." when in Taylor's "COME BACK BE HERE" song in the chorus it said "And this is when the feeling sinks in i don't wanna miss you like this, COME BACK BE HERE" and that ""I won't trouble you no more." with Tay's "I Knew You Were Trouble".

okay, say that they were happy. but add lots of hate, death threats, people constantly saying they will not make it through the relationship, waking up every day and just going on social media accounts and seeing the same hateful words posted everyday, imagine the person you like is hit with the same thing, imagine yourself going outside and people telling you to "back off of harry", and imagine yourself facing that everyday for 2 months. even if the relationship was great and you liked them that much, there was so so so many other things that came with the relationship. both experienced lots of hate even after they broke up.

I'm not sure who to reply to, so I'll just leave this here without mentioning anyone. I think Taylor either got the impression that their relationship was a burden to Harry or he said so himself (Taylor actually liked a theory about this that didn't explicitly state Harry's name, on Tumblr). By burden, I don't mean he didn't like it. But as Annie Dragel has stated above, all the hate and media attention mustn't have been very pleasant. This is, however, only merely inferred from a line in Taylor's new song which states: 'I walked out, I said, "I'm setting you free." - but as I've said before, Taylor did like that post on Tumblr so there must at least be some truth behind it because she knows the attention fans pay to her Tumblr activity. I don't think they broke up because they didn't love each other, weren't compatible or weren't happy. I think there were a lot more factors that went into it. Taylor has even said in an interview, that there's always 'that one person who kind of floats in and out of their life, and the narrative is never truly over.'.
(By the way, the line 'I walked out, I said, "I'm setting you free." is from Out of the Woods which is recognised as many as inspired by Harry, because it mentions a skiing [?] accident that involved '20 stitches in the hospital room' and Harry had a bandage on his chin. As for her interview, she said that in reference to the song Style which seems to be inspired by Harry too. I mean, look at the title. The lyrics (such as 'you've got that long hair, slicked back, white t-shirt' really tell most of it, if not all).
