Have you got any other tips for digital minimalism?
My algo knows what i like regardless of the views
True
Just a tip, to get to the apps you've removed from your home screen, you don't have to go all the way to the app store. If you swipe down on the home screen it'll bring up a search bar you can use to find them on your phone
You've got some good advice!
Thanks for the tip - I had no idea about that, super helpful!

Refreshing to see a tech CZcamsr with a Bible app. God Bless, and subscribed!
I agree. I believe that God has blessed us with amazing technology and we should be using it to know Jesus better - like using the good old bible app. Thanks for the subscribe!
I love skilled videographers who haven't had their big break yet. But trust me, and remember this comment, because you'll have half a million subscribers before you even realize it. Everything about this is so well-crafted. The writing is great, the cinematography is top notch, and your editing is spectacular! I almost find it hard to believe you're relatively new to this. You're going to be BIG. I hope you're ready, because there's a tsunami coming. I look forward to watching you succeed. Best wishes, my new friend.
Hey Joshua, thanks so much! This has made my day. I really appreciate your support and encouragement. Plenty more videos currently in the works, looking forward to having you along for the ride!
@@timsherohalfgotta second this. really well-made video, hopefully the algorithm picks you up :) make sure your goals are internal (things you can control) as you go along.

Archive or backup those old emails to the hard drives but don't delete them. You will need some in the future whether it's for a repeat client, tax purposes, or something you need to reference
Great point. Everything in my receipts and reference folders mentioned in the video I take screenshots of and file away before deleting from the email system.
Rock on! 🤘🏼
Thanks Alexander - you too!
Super good video!

You're still using an iPhone with a physical button? Damn, good job keeping that thing running dude.
Haha, thanks mate! Yeah, the old iPhone 8 is still working (just).
Seeing the bible app made me smile so much
It's a great app - one of the best in fact ;)
💯
Thanks!
nope... I won't delete that 90GB games that I haven't played for 6 months
"I live a minimal life. that's why I create dozens of folders and own multiple hard drives"
Doesn't make much sense to me
That's a great point. I may find over time that I don't find value in all those folders and some will be deleted to further minimise my life but for now they are all helping me to stay organised and so I count them as valuable. But of course that's just my perspective, if having less folders works better for you then by all means do that for your own process. Keep being your heroes!
Are you frugal when it comes to cell phone ; I noticed you crack screen . Is that an iPhone 6?
Kind of, I just like to use things for as long as I can before spending lots of money on a new one. It's an iPone 8, it's cracked all over and it restarts every hour but it still works. And those factors are also increasing the friction required to use the phone, which I find helps me not to spend too much time on it.
thought this was going to be a video about linux but this works too
it's twitter. That name makes sense. The new name is stupid, forgettable, and makes no sense. That rebranding will be a case study in what not to do.

If you switch to android you wouldn’t have to delete any apps just don’t put them in your Home Screen
Great tip - I had no idea that was possible!
Why would you open the app store to open an app? 🤦♂
The reason I open through the App Store is to add a bit more friction to the process. It makes it less impulsive to open an app or be tempted to open an app and ensures therefore that when I open the app I'm using it intentionally. I also find the look of a cleaner Home Screen with less apps helps me not to feel stressed when opening my phone - if the price of having that is that I have to open the App Store every time I want an app that's something I'm ok with. But, as always, do what works for you ;)
Better than delete the apps on the Ipad. Get rid of the Ipad.
True - eliminating the device entirely would be a much more minimal approach.
