so this is the ultimate video there can never be any better videos than a guy shoving aerials up under the dash and not even bothering to fit them in the window correctly, ultimate.
On the portrait view of the head unit it makes you think it blocks the air vent , during installations it’s clear that there’s a good gap between the head unit and the vent . Great installation videos as always and excellent review videos . Number #1 CZcamsr for me
Great video! So helpful as I am planning on upgrading my Jeep to the CC3 2K. Many thanks.
Hi love the channel really interesting just purchased the same unit for my Ford Focus 2012 mark 3 just wondering if you know where to connect the four wires coming from the back of the fascia to light up they control knob I would really appreciate if you've any idea thanks
Thanks for the video been waiting for you to do a teyes,it's one of only a few not in Russian !. Just got one of these for my r59 mini, and just started putting it in, it looks a good unit👍
Hope you enjoy it!
Amazing product! One question, is the Canbus included in the kit ? i found a kit for my C-class W203 with the facia etc but no info about the Canbus for steering wheel controls!
Thanks for this, needed something to inspire me to change my unit myself. Cheers
I've just received mine and going to install it this week and make a video as well :) but i am sure it is better than any of the tesla like screens on the market.
So what you are saying is the 360 degree system does not need the reverse wire connected, but the normal reverse camera needs the reverse wire hooked up as on there diagram supplied. I have started the install firstly the two mirror cameras and the front camera also the drive cam, all pretty easy just a little fiddley and Thanks for your help, do you know much about the Jeep premium audio system, as I am considering getting all of the speakers working with crossovers and such, I just need if all output channel go the jeep Amp at the rear of the car than out to the speahers?
I just purchased mine and I use the center piece USB quite often. Could you link what piece you bought to make it work? Thank You!
Thank you so much for putting me on to this. How do you make the microphone the main one it goes to?
Seems like an excellent head unit, but I am wondering if there would be any way to wire up the stock microphone and backup camera in the car. Seems like real waste of effort to fish wires around when those things are already installed on my 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan.
Hi, do you have a video of you installing the teyes rear view camera on the Jeep Grand Cherokee? Thanks
Did you have any problems with the blind spot system? I own Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 2012 and the blind spot system stopped working after the installation. Also couldn't connect the original camera
I installed this in my 2014 wrangler based on your review. Everything worked great for about 1 hour then sound just stopped working entirely on the head unit in the middle of a drive. Bluetooth, radio, everything. The speakers don't seem to be recieving power now. Any ideas? My car does not have the premium alpine system.
Will the screen tilt up and down or tilt side to side? Will it move in and out
Did you ever do a video on the reverse cam install??
Is this compatible with after 2014 models for climate controls and seat warmers?
Keep up the good work all your videos are really good and interesting Car stereo touch screen yeyes for my ford c-max 2007 2.0 zetec mpv auto with WiFi wireless Internet access and Cameras all round
Hi if I wnat to isntall it on a Jeep Patriot/Compass, do I need the canbus decoder? It comes with the unit?
Is there a way to connect your factory Sirius XM radio to the new head unit?? I have the same year model as your Jeep.
When you added the rear camera, do you use existing wire or new wire and buy the 10m harness
Hi, you didn't show the blind spot sensor wire how to fix that because i got a problem with that. If you know, please let me explain thx
Can you tell Me if you can use a RCA to HDMI adapter So l can Play my nintendo switch. HDMI in
Are you going to add 360 camera to WK2 Teyes head unit soon?
Thank you from KSA.
My unit just came in today, everything fits as it should but for some reason I only got like 6 of the little screws with the screwdriver when In reality you need about 14
How is the sound quality and loudness compares to the factory unit?
Hi, anyone know if the dealer can still do updates to the car's firmware after installing this unit?
Hi, brilliant video, thanks.
Do you recall why you couldn't use the built in microphone and instead fit an external?
The website claims it doesn't support the radar system (it also claims heated steering wheel isnt which ive seen you've confirmed still works), do you remember if radar features, mainly the adaptive cruise control, still works?
This and the review has convinced me to buy, provided i can still use ACC, is the link in the video an affiliate?
I have yet to see a Teyes CC3 installed in a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which is what I own. Although the listing on Aliexpress shows 2013-2020, it also states it's not compatible with my 2020 Grand Cherokee. Furthermore the 2013 dash is different than the 2014-2020, so I don't know what's going on there.
Love your videos!! I was wondering, did the new case holding the head unit match the existing color of the factory holding case?
Yes it's pretty much the same, a bit more glossy though
Thanks, this was very helpful.
I can’t get this to work in my steering wheel controls to work in my 2012 grand Cherokee at all…was told that it’s the same setting for a 2012 dodge Durango but I don’t see that vehicle listed either in the hikitty canbus
Hey @Saab Unleashed, I'm planning to install this unit next week on my 2013 Jeep GC Laredo and your video has been incredibly helpful already. Question: Did you have to remove all of the trimming to get the old camera out like in the 2014 Jeeps? Videos on replacing cameras on the Jeeps are very limited. That was great advice about gluing the new camera in, what glue did you use if you don't mind me asking? 👍

Do you have a review of the large Tesla esque versions of these, particularly with car play? There’s no decent reviews out there
what about the extra large plug that doesnt get connected?
Does the reverse camera work with this screen?
Do you have to purchase a new back camera?
Can you please explain the reverse line cable for me
I used to have such teyes audio on my previous car - sharp and fast. But sometimes this screen looks alien.
Also, some say that teyes can-bus is incomplete by functions (some car settings missing)
Hello, thanks for this video. I have a 2016 US-Spec Limited with the 9 speaker alpine system. I see the canbus control options are integrated (vehicle-specific light options, etc) but I am wondering if the OEM “surround sound” option for audio remains intact or if that is sacrificed when installing this head unit. Also this has android auto and Apple CarPlay integration built-in correct? Or do you need separate USB-hubs and wiring to enable this? For upgraded UCONNECT with CarPlay it requires a new USB-hub so I am wondering if that applies here as well
Did you get heated steering to work?
Hi mate, great video. Just bought the CC3 Teyes for my Honda CRZ along with the Teyes reversing camera. You mentioned you have a video for the reverse camera install, looked through your vids but couldn't find it, do you have a link pls.
Hey rich, I haven't edited and uploaded it yet, I will as soon as I can
Anyone with a 2014+ know if this still retains factory options like air suspension mode (tire jack mode, towing mode, etc...) as well as other vehicle features? The Uconnect 8.4 has many vehicle options that I cant lose and there seems to be NO video's of 2014+ WK2's with these except for the one guy with a Laredo, which had little to no options to begin with...
The Subwoofer Works with this unit?
Great video, very many thanks. Do you know if this unit will play video to the fold-down screen for the passengers in the back?
I´ve the same question... and about the 360 cams, will it work?
same question.. did you find out about this? does the original setup mirror the same feed from front screen to rear monitors too?
my 2012 has left over stuff, and my radio is just static and I can't use steering wheel controls and no back up camera. anyone got any ideas?
Great Video, very informative.
Small question for your expertise. I'm after a double din dab radio for my 2010 renault trafic. I would like a USB port, reversing camera capability and just an alround good unit. What would you recommend? Budget would be £225-350ish.
From watching a previous video you schooled me from buying a cheap on off ebay.
Thanks in advance...
I Google'd your dashboard. It looks like you can install any double din head unit so you have loads of options. I can't really tell from imaged on google whether you can have an oversized unit (over 7 inches) because it looks like the dashboard around your radio seems to protrude out into the cabin. I got a few reviews coming up for the latest Atoto, Xtrons and other brands if you're not interested in the ones I've already reviewed
Hi. You left two cables from the original radio unplugged... one was a wide white connector, I assume this the OEM reverse camera plus rear seat monitors. The other was a grey rectangular 10 or 12-pin connector. What was this for? Thanks.
After some extensive research, I found the answer. The grey 10-pin connector is from the UConnect hands-free Bluetooth Module (if it is installed in your car). In order to use the OEM microphone, you cannot just use an adapter for this 10-pin connector, but you need to lead mono-jack wire to the UConnect hands-free Bluetooth Module, that is usually installed in the A column, and tap into the microphone wires connecting to the UConnect hands-free Bluetooth Module there.
did you ever make the video for rear back up cam for the jeep? which unit did you use? my second cc3 will be here any day now and i will go at it again..i have not sent back the first one, and am hoping it was just a bad unit. after all of the issues, i pushed in the reset on the front and the unit just went black, not to work again, the fuse is good and wiring proper. between all of the extras i purchased, in for a penny, in for a pound, so i ordered a new unit..would like back up camera function tho. any help will be appreciated..
I just installed the CC3 on my 2012 JGC (WK2) and maintained the OEM camera by using the iDatalink HRN-AV-CH1 Factory Integration Adapter. It was super easy and all T’Eyes reverse camera functions work. The resolution is good enough in my opinion.
Nice head unit👍👍👍
Does it work with 6 speaker as in the cherokee
Is it as easy to take the pillar trim off a 93 convertible? I’ve had a tug with it and there’s obviously some technique, but in the end I wasn’t brave enough to attempt to break plastic etc. X
I've never tried Paul, but I'm pretty sure the convertible trims are a ballache to get off. When I ran the mic cable to the rear view mirror, I simply tucked the cable behind the pillar without taking it off
Idk if you still reply to comments here. But do you know if the new head unit will work with the rearview camera that comes on the jeep from the factory. I have a 2011 grand Cherokee.
Technically yes, but it doesn't come with any adaptors to allow for that. Plus, the factory camera is terrible quality and that will be emphasised on a high rest screen
Hey, I didn’t see it specifically mentioned, but do you have blind spot monitors or back up sensors? I got my back up sensors to “beep” but my blind spot monitors do not work. I have a Jeep Wrangler (2020) so I wasn’t sure if it was maybe something similar. Thanks!
Did you have to do anything specific in order for this to work? I installed the radio and my back up sensors are not beeping anymore when an object is close.
Hi. Extra video. How about silver colour of new frame and original? Is it similar or completely differnet? Does it look like original one?
Yes the colour is almost identical. It's a bit more glossy
I was lucky you showed the actual canbus adapter ! A lot of chinese vendors don't specify whether you need it or not, and with your video I was able to find the right serial number for the exact canbus decoder unit. Look for either CH-SS-04 , or RP5-CH-004 . should cost about 16 US dollars.
another quick question. were you able to preserve steering wheel controls with that unit?
Yes steering wheel controls are there, also has adaptive reverse vectoring too via Canbus
will you consider to replace a larger screen for grand cherokee? like 10.4inches, like Tesla style. it is going to be popular online store, like amazon, ebay.
Depends on specification
Can anyone tell me if this works with adaptive cruise control in an Overland ? I’m getting mixed answers from Teyes 🤬
can anyone help on getting the subwoofer to work ?
Does the reverse camera fit into the same spot as the original camera on a jeep grand cherokee laredo 2012?
I just installed the CC3 on my 2012 JGC (WK2) and maintained the OEM camera by using the iDatalink HRN-AV-CH1 Factory Integration Adapter. It was super easy and all T’Eyes reverse camera functions work. The resolution is good enough in my opinion.
Where is the video installation of the reverse camera ??
Do you have to get a new mic and back up camera? And does it work with Apple car play
Yes to all questions
Do you have Boston system in your Jeep? Does this radio works with amplifier and subwoofer? All speakers works correctly?
Yes, it's all fine
Will the head unit work with the standard reverse camera and steering controls? I want to keep both of them
Did you get an answer for this? I'm wondering about heated steering wheel
Hello, does this car tablet also recover steering wheel controls on grand cherokee?? Thank you
This is a Grand Cherokee and the steering controls work
Plastic color is the same ?
Hi - did you ever do a video of you installing the reverse cam? I've bought a CC3 2k on your recommendation and it's great, I installed the dash cam and the DAB aerial and they're both working well, but I've not been able to find a good video of the reverse cam install - mainly how to wire the camera power to the power block going into the Teyes head unit. Do you have any recommendations or could you point me to your reverse cam installation video?
Hey Ben. I did record the installation, but unfortunatly the SD card carrying the video files corrupted, so it was lost. I can tell you I used the Teyes HD reverse cam and placed it in the same location as the factory reverse cam, with the help of some hot glue. I ran a new wire to the front of the car under the plastic trims under the doors
@@SaabUnleashed Thanks for replying so fast! Can I ask how you did the wiring? How did you attach the yellow and red cables from the camera's extension into the Teyes power supply? I can't see a way of doing it.
Thanks for your reviews and help in a recent comment! I have ordered the cc3 and eagerly await it's arrival. Since I've ordered my dash cam has started playing up. I was looking at getting the t'eyes DVR but the postage is extortionate. Will other das cams work with it in the same way? Also do you know if my current after market reverse cam work. Thank you in advance for any advice.
Hey James. No other Dash cam will work in the same way in conjunction with the Teyes. Any reverse camera should be compatible though
@@SaabUnleashed Thank you again.
@@SaabUnleashed do you know the the factory reverse camera works with the cc3? I have a 2013 grand Cherokee and need to know if I need a new back up cam
Does the factory subwoofer still work? Looking to install in my 2011 overland
Yes it does
Hey by chance did you have any wires that were left unconnected? I can’t use my volume or skip song button on the back of my steering wheel. In this video you have the same wires I have that were left unconnected, does your steering wheel controls work?
Try changing the canbus settings via the Teyes app to a different Jeep. It might be as simple as that
Any Joy?
Did you do anything to your armrest USB connection? My 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 doesn't have a "male microusb output" like your video shows, instead it had a 10pin female plug.
Just installed this on my 2012 WK2. If you have the 430N stereo, the male micro USB cable connector to the UConnect system is actually located on the drivers side of the car near your left knee (if in U.S.). It’s a pain to get to but it’s worth the 15-30 minutes to maintain the functionality of the armrest USB. You’ll need a 1 ft minimum USB extension cable in addition to the micro USB to USB adapter that he showed in the video.
@@wk22012owner do you have any photos of where you are referring to under the drivers side. Im working backwards as I am in Australia, so I am looking near my right knee, behind the airbag and near the light bulb. or it it more in the door side?
I have installed the radio a few weeks ago and went to install the reverse camera. I hooked it up to the reversing light but can't get images or tell if it is recieving power. Any advise on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you putting me on to the system.
You're better off powering it from the head unit using the small red wire that is attached to the video cable
@@SaabUnleashed thank you.
Could factory microphone be used instead of installing a new one? Can you use factory USB or factory camera? Or will that all need to be swapped when installing this specific head unit?
Good question, would have been nice if you would have got a response.
@@bigdenzil411 The mic in the ccs works fine for me.
Hey the teyes has a mic on it. Built in on the front of the screen. Old mic can be soldered into a19 and a20 in the a socket.
I know you lose the heated steering wheel with this, but do you lose heated seats and remote start too? I am really interested in this.
You don't lose the heated steering wheel, it still works
Thanks for taking time to show us the install.
Question is how is it performing now? Looking to upgrade mine and was unsure which route to go down.
I've just received mine and going to install it this week and make a video as well :) but i am sure it is better than any of the tesla like screens on the market.

No because the stock microphone doesn't plug into the stock head unit
Hi, great review. Do you know if integrates with the climate control and seat heating and cooling on the newer models
Yes it does, it shows the temprature settings on the screen, but you can't control the temp from the screen
@@SaabUnleashed thanks for your reply, there are no physical buttons for seat heating and cooling in the Jeep, this is usually done through the head unit on the original unit, does this mean it can be done on the T’eyes unit.
@@Paul-qu3ke ok I see what you mean. Generally, aftermarket head units can still control any functionality that existed in the factory one, but I can't answer this for your specific car, you would need to speak to them directly before you buy to make sure if it isn't explicitly outlined on their website
@@SaabUnleashed hey mate just an update, I bought and installed the head unit, it’s great and the climate controls, seat temperatures and heated steering wheel can all be controlled through the floating button.
I love this. I was looking around recently for something like this then stumbled upon your video and I just bought a 2011 wk2. It needs new headunit this seems like the best upgrade and video. The one thing is I don't like the microphone placement. Will think of another idea but I am going with this upgrade. edit. Also can see you are a snob because you don't like my comment.
Where I can buy this stereo?, I search in Amazon but I don't find nothing
Links are in the video description
Been looking at this head unit for my 2013 wk2. Great Vid! Very hard to find anyone with this exact model who has taken the time to make a comprehensive video. Did you have any trouble getting all the speakers working? I emailed a question to the company about compatibility with the 10 speaker premium stereos which im sure your Overland has like mine. They replied and said I would need to modify the wiring from the main harness. Any thoughts on that?
I didn't have any issues at all. I imagine the modifications to the wiring that they mentioned is so that you can adjust the cars stock subwoofer separately on the head unit, but it sounds amazing as it is so I didn't bother with that
I have a 2011 overland summit. Going with this . Curious how yours turned out
Hi l have just purchased the same system for my SRT8 and l believe it has 13 channels, so l hope it all works ok, i would find your amp at the rear right side of car l think find all the inputs and find out how many, trace them back to the head unit, if any are missing, find out what they are, and you may need to parallel some outputs from the head unit to amp, just make sure you keep the impedance correct i.e. 4 ohms or 8 ohms.
I am hoping to do a video as well ans see what l find.
Thereis a little tester you can get from Jcar that sends a tone to your speakers.
I put a simular unit in my 2013 overland but one large plug doesnt get a place to hook up. and since then my battery goes dead every few days if I dont drive it. Not like that before I upgraded.
What wiring modification did they say you needed to do?
Will my pre-existing rear view camera of my Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (WK2 - 2012) plug into this unit?

I purchased the Connect 2 harness you recommended for the Joying unit install. This unit looks superior...will the same connect 2 setup allow me to do the same type install you so thoroughly shared on your 9-3 convertible Joying install video?
That connects2 harness are designed for a specific type of car. The connects2 that I showed for the Joying unit was for the Saab 9-3, and therefore will be good for any aftermarket head unit in the Saab 9-3. It won't work in a Jeep though - you would need to buy a harness specifically for the Jeep

Nice car.
I installed the hd reverse camera which I glued into the same location as the factory one. You probably won't be able to do that with the 360 system because it will likely be at the wrong angle, so just mount the rear camera under the licence plate light trim.
The rear camera has a red wire for connecting to reverse lights on older cars. You won't need to connect that because the Jeep has CANbus recognition of reverse

Why would you add and use the cheap aftermarket GPS when you've already got a more robust, reliable factory GPS mounted in the car? Just get an adapter for the blue FAKRA-C connector and hook it into the SMA connection on the head unit. Done.
Also, for the reverse camera you can use the factory one with these aftermarket head units. Just go to your vehicle's wiring diagram, find the + and - wires for the composite signal, attach to an aftermarket RCA connector (they usually have two screws, one for each wire, making connection a breeze) and plug that into the yellow RCA input on the aftermarket unit. That way you don't need to wire in a second camera; and if your OEM guide lines moved with steering input, they continue to do so.
I agree with the GPS, that is a better way. With regards to the reverse camera, the factory one was terrible quality and I purposely replaced it for this reason. The new one still has lines that move with the steering wheel but in glorious 1080p
just installed in my 2011 jgc overland..VERY UNHAPPY..i bought this because of this video!! starting with can bus..none of my steering wheel controls work..i think they might have sent the wrong bus. also, it took my 15 minutes just to get it set to english. far as i've gotten..any more issues it's coming out and going back..is there any support from teyes or do i need to learn russian?
There's plenty of Support. If the steering controls aren't working, you can change the vehicle settings from the Teyes app, try a different Jeep until they work. They will work. Have some patience Gary, have a play and you'll get it working
@@SaabUnleashed will the stock back up camera work? because so far no. and as far as the radio, one + click from silent is loud, no in between. and it needs my phone (droid) to do nav, etc..
@@garyoberto6042 in the sound settings, go to power conditioning and turn that down. That will fix the volume.
I'm not sure what you mean by it needs your phone. Some apps will require an Internet connection, which you can provide via your phones hotspot. If you don't want to do that, then download apps which have offline maps. This is normal and no different from any of the other head units I have reviewed.
As for the factory reverse camera, it's not going to work out of the box. You would either need to find a harness that will convert the factory harness to an RCA so you can plug it in, or install an aftermarket one.
I went with the second option as the factory camera is known to be very bad quality, especially on the new HD screen
Hi, I'm new to your channel and have subscribed as well as watched a number of your vlogs.
Wonder if you can help... I have a 2021 Citroen Relay with inbuilt TomTom but no Android Auto and am looking for a new head unit that can work using Android Auto and wondering what unit you would recommend as it's a minefield... It needs to work with all my steering controls and use the mic from my van preferably rather than an external one and DAB radio.
Do all units that use Android have the 2021 updated Android Auto split screen on them, or does that come from your phone? Any help/advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks!
Hi Adam, I would advise that you pop the Teyes guys an email asking them about compatibility with your vehicle. I'm pretty sure it's supported as Citroen is one of the options in the menus of the unit I have, so that would mean steering controls ect will work. You'll probably still need an external mic though - but email them and find out. You'll also want to know if they include any dashbaord facias to make installation into your van easier.
With regards to your question on Android Auto - that has nothing to do with your head unit, it is all streamed from your phone. Also if you have a head unit like this, you may find that you don't want to use Android Auto because it's better to use it without (you can install TomTom directly onto the unit, for example)
@@SaabUnleashed That's fantastic thank you for your reply, it's much appreciated. Do you have an email address for Teyes by any chance? If not I will have a look and get in touch with them asking exactly what you advised.
@@adamsher86 I have used dan@teyes.com.au
@@SaabUnleashed Thank you. I've just emailed him and will let you know what they say.
@@SaabUnleashed unfortunately they don't have the fascia for my vehicle which is a shame. What is the next best unit you would recommend and what is needed for install. Where is the best place to buy fascias? Thanks.
Did you make the video for install the reverse camera?
Following up on this question. I don’t see a vid for it
What is the decoder for?
It translates the Jeep digital network to allow the Teyes unit to understand and show you feature on the screen, such as climate controls
Does it come with the harness and canbus in the box?
It comes with these items if you order it for a specific car.
