As mentioned in the last video I am stripping down and cleaning the Blagdon Clean Pond Machine pressure filter. These filters are better than the standard foam filled pressure filters but there are a few issues with it that could be improved upon.

Hi Jim just watched the video looks much easier than my sponge filter to clean.

Cheers Ron. Yes a full strip down of your filter would be a bit more difficult but yours is easier to do the regular cleans than this one. Even though there are things I don't like about it it is still way better that a standard sponge pressure filter.

Cheers Carol. It's still quite a good filter but there are definite improvements that could be made

Had mine for 3 years and no issues with it, I think it’s a great design and far better than the sponge type filters

100% better than the foam type pressure filters. However it isn't perfect. There are a couple of area's it could be improved upon. Ignoring those things it is still a really good filter for a small system

I found it to be the most efficient filter i have used in many years of pond keeping, cleaning the pot once a year takes 10 mins and replacing the uv is just as quick, if you take the screws out first

lol yeah if you realise that there are screws in there it would be a quick job to change the UV. It is far better than the sponge versions but not as good as my upflows. As I mentioned there are things about it I don't like but on the whole it is a good filter.

Cheers Dave. Just make sure you drain as much water out of it as you can or that media will go everywhere.

Great review Jim of the Blagdon Clean Pond Machine 13000, down to earth and honest, not that I am looking to buy one, but interesting never the less, hope you are keeping well, best wishes, Tony😀

Cheers Tony. For a pressure filter it is far far better than the foam systems. I wouldn't want to use it on my main pond but it's fine for a small grow on or a tank like I have it attached to.

Has anyone had issues ordering part,

It's difficult to get the parts even if they are listed on the web page. Trouble is the dealers don't make much from spare parts and you can't order directly from Blagdon. It's real shame as these filters are pretty good for a small system.
