Now some people who cheat take a long time between moves. It’s weird you can tell… suddenly you’re playing someone who is way better than their rating, the moves are strange but precise. The time between moves is absurd for the move they follow with.

@@jrhenry24I do it in all my 15:10 game . I take 2min for only one move in some games. Because I have plenty of time and I need time to think to not blunder (or blunder)
13:10 this sequence of moves was sooo good wtf? in only less than a 1s per move he made moves that'd take me hopefully about an hour...
it's gonna get easier as you get up the rating ladder, you see a king on e1 and queen on e2 you'll easily find tactics, and the reast after qh4 check all the moves were winning so nothing very complicated, i'm 2000 blitz and 2200 rapid

@Krapvag dude it's one of the most obvious cheats I've ever seen in my life..even Hikaru was just doing moves to test if it was a bot..he was making bad off the wall moves and testing his reaction time but he reacted to the bad random moves at the same pace..easy way to catch someone..all in the pacing in bullet and reaction time to crazy moves

The problem is when people cheat at the lower levels they never get banned because it can just be perceived as ‘underrated’. Also they don’t need crazy high accuracy to win

The ending moves were pretty obvious though . I myself as a 1600 bullet could have found those .but the previous moves where he just traded bunch of pieces while being down a full piece made the least sense to me because no human would trade everything while down a piece

@@gabrielcodina6188 the most suspicious part was the M5 sequence. No 1500 would have found that exact sequence in such a short amount of time. Just about any clean 1500 would have just taken the free knight, instead of seeing 5 moves in advance.
@johny.echevers this is not the GM level masterful M5 you guys think this is. It's a series of random checks and premoves to win on time. And he just happened to get lucky.
Just because a 1500 makes a brilliant move doesn't mean it was intentional. Sometimes, they were going for a more basic tactic. The number of times I've stumbled onto good positions that I didn't plan or prepare for is very high.
@@gabrielcodina6188 except it is. It's a sequence of 5 moves that happened to be the exact stockfish best moves (when they could have just taken the free knight and win anyway). I'm an 1800 and couldn't find that sequence without it being laid out in front of me. Sure, anyone can stumble onto a "brilliant move," but a full 5-move sequence, instantly? In a bullet game? Being up on time against HIKARU? Dude was definitely cheating.
In any case, this was analyzed by the chesscom fair-play team (who know far more than you and I about cheating-detection), and they determined that that dude was definitely cheating (his account was banned).

Can someone tell me why Hikaru thinks the guy was cheating. Qc8+ Qd8, Re1+ Kf8, Qxd8+ is not a hard find. Also it's a forced check sequence. Even the part with Qg5+,Kf8 Qh6+, Kg8 Re8+, Nf8 Rxf8+. Classic puzzle rush right?
Do you really think anybody that's not a super GM can beat Hikaru on the board and on the clock, in bullet? Be real.
Sure -- He's definitely cheating. Look over the game with an engine -- 17. d5 with 18. Qe3 was played too quickly to have been seen. 19. c5 was too unnatural. King h2 is insane. Qd4 is too hard to spot at those speeds. Most of all for me is him not taking the g5 pawn but going back to c6 with queen to set up check and rook check. All of those were the top moves. Those cannot be found in bullet at those speeds, let alone by an 1600. Please check with an engine and then go back at look at the crazy speeds -- the ideas can make sense, but it's certainly impossible to see them at that speed, because they aren't natural. It wasn't the end part, IMO Qc6 is most telling.
