Mitch is said to have a vocal range of about A2 to B7, which is more than five octaves. For context Freddie Mercury from Queen only had about four octaves. Not to mention there are techniques to "force" notes outside your normal range.

If you really want to hear a great high note from Mitchy, you should watch their second Grammy winner, "Dance of the Sugar plum fairy". Seems that someone said they couldn't sing a song with no words. Their reply won them another grammy, their third came from "Jolene"..., with Dolly Parton.
I could go on and on, and recommend many things from them..., but I will say that their originals are truly awesome. Anything written by Kirstie is freakin' amazing, her song; "Be my eye's" is pretty much an open love letter to Ben, her guy. The of course there is the greatest love sone ever, written by Mark Mannio and helped out by Scott..., those two are now married by the way. They wrote it around the end of quarantine, the song is called; "Thank You" and even God stood in silent joyous awe when Scott performed it.... Well, you'll see.

There are 3 common CZcams groups which have large close followers. Pentatonix (Pop-centric), Home Free (Country-centric) and VoicePlay (Disney/gaming-centric), but all 3 do a variety of styles! All 3 are acapella focused. All 3 have strong Bass inclusion to their songs AND all 3 have a beat boxer to hyper-up their tunes! You have started with Pentatonix, Home Free's common request is "Man of Constant Sorrow" and VoicePlay's recommendation was "Oogie Boogie" but now many recommend "Nothing Else Matters" cover.
I call them the 'Beat-Bass-Acapella' groups!

When Pentatonix does a medley, they don't mess around - no song lasts for more than a few seconds (some only a single line), and they just barrel through the songs! If you check out the description of this video, you can see all of the songs and artists included in the medley - not something they usually include in their medleys. Speaking of their other medleys - the ones most people will recognize are the "Evolution of..." medleys: Music, Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Ariana Grande. To those I would also add their At Home medley from their lockdown EP "Home".

Mitch Grassi is a Counter-tenor and sings 6 octaves higher than most people worldwide.

The Wizard of Ahhs is a performance worthy of a gig on broadway.

These three songs are great to start with for when you are ready to dive into their original works. Two more mind blowing originals that are much slower but show amazing harmonies is Run to You and The Lucky One's which is a song basically telling their journey to get to where they are today. Oh and if anyone hasn't mentioned you should really look at when they were contestants on The Sing-Off it was an acapello show where they won on season 3 that will show how them from the very beginning,the very start. It shows how they all came together, how they won and how they became the Pentatonix we know today❤
I totally agree with Heather about all of the above, but I'm not sure exactly what your plans are for your reaction channel and how hard and fast you want to go down this PTX rabbit hole.
Having said that, if by some miracle you decide to react to their Sing-Off episodes and ALSO react to the other songs everyone's been requesting, we Pentatonics would be thrilled!

I know you used to live under a rock, so it is possible that you haven't ever heard "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen. If you haven't make sure that you listen to that before you hear Pentatonix singing it. It's one of those songs that once you've heard the original you'll know how absolutely impossible it would be to sing it a capella, which will just make you even more mind blown when you hear their version. A lot of reactors do find, though, that youtube has a habit of blocking Pentatonix videos, so you may need to blur or mask their videos when you react to them.

Hi! Loved your reaction. I'm a huge overall fan, have been for a decade (gosh I'm old). I just wanted to say they have a lot of must see Christmas music, so if you are interested in that maybe plan some other reactions for the next bit then hop back in to PTX? You can catch My Favorite Things around halloween, they completely change it up. The must see Christmas ones are Holy Night live in a church - just them, they loved the acoustics and randomly sang, caught it on film. 12 Days of Christmas video will BLOW YOUR MIND, God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman there is a live version on Conan, I think, and Carol of the Bells video. They have a bazillion Christmas albums, but those I think are the most popular. Just thought I'd give you a heads up of what's to come. I know ya'll get bombarded with PTX all the time. LOL

HI Maddy, I think many of us have had the same reaction to them that you have experienced. They are pretty crazy. I would venture to use the word prodigy. I think it is Scott that is mostly the main force in the arrangements and it is sort of next level. Pretty creative stuff. Some of their songs get blocked, this one that you just did ( 90's Medley) is one that does not. One additional song that does not get blocked is Amazing Grace. Thanks Maddy, with love from Florida

I'm sure someone else has commented, but Mitch is absolutely Supernatural... vocal range is amazing. I suggest "Love Again" it was an original song they did many years back, but still a good dance number. Also, Mitch and Scott had a channel called "Superfruit" which I suggest as well. Nothing has been in there for a while, but there are some good silly parodies for Frozen, and they did Defying Gravity from Wicked... some other suggestions. And you'll see a lot of the term "Mitch Slapped" which happened to you on his first high note :) Great reactions, keep up the good work!

Now that you're doing Pentatonix reactions, do not be surprised if you start getting requests for Home Free, another acapella group. HF is country-based, but can do any genre; examples would be a killer rendition of "End of the Road," "Can't Stop the Feeling," and "Nessum Dorma," where the two tenors did an opera piece. Acapella is cool. Both groups won "The Sing"-Off on NBC, and in consecutive years.

If you want to hear some of their original songs, check out their 2016 Pop Spring Concert live! It's a 4 song set performed live on MTV. They are just as phenomenal live as well as studio! With the exception of Evolution of Michael Jackson, all other songs performed in the video are originals. It is absolutely fantastic. You won't be disappointed.
