The only thing i regret with every recent update is that they still forgot to fix the cape pyhisics ;-;
Yes and very and extremely true
For some reason my game is running slowly recently so I'm gonna assume that's cause of this update.
I understand, personally no interest in capes, it would get burned by the jetpack.. obviously just a game, but not a thing that interests me. seems silly.
But NMS doesn't exist just for me.
Screw the cape. Where’s the damn kilts?
@@jaysgood10 now we're asking the real questions
Npcs seem to be more interactive in the way they move, they celebrate ships landing and leaving, i had a vykeen jump up and scream at me shaking its fist
Another hidden change with the Echoes update: Living Ship antennae used to be static, no animation whatsoever. But since Echoes, their antennae now shake when in flight, as if being blown by the wind. As a Living Ship user, this brings even more life to them.
How to they blow in the wind , theres no wind in space, unless that animation is reserved for when the ship has breached the atmosphere
@@heisenburger105 “as if” being blown by the wind. Its a living organism, they probably just move their antenna around like we would our fingers, it’s not a piece of cloth 😭
Very fascinating that the Sentinel Freighter got an upgrade for space combat as well! That's pretty awesome.
Technically, the most *overlooked* change in the update is the revelation of the Autophage. They've been hiding under our noses (or olfactory sensors for our Korvax friends) this entire time!
the multitool disposal is really awesome early game, I was able to upgrade a lot more quickly by scrapping all the weapons i got from the minor colonists.
That's awesome! Thanks for sharing.
I'm only a little into the video, but I never knew the Multi-Tool decomission was a thing added to NMS and I'm actually really happy about it! I'm not into collecting every version of things, and for Multi-Tools, I have two I use. I have my combat tool, and my scanning/mining tool. I don't see the purpose of having more, when you like the designs you have. (That said, I do have like 8 ships or something, so it's just mutitools I do this with.) I have like 8 tools and I've wished I could clean up that list.
Was only added about a month or 2 back with last update.
I kind of like it as a little extra revenue. Since you can get a multi-tool for free from the Sentinel Pillars, I have been looting those and scrapping them at the Anomaly.
It isn't much, and probably not worth it as a full time pursuit. But it's nice not having to just reject the tool outright if I don't like it/have a better one. I can make a few credits off of it!
I only just began to actually play the game in full despite the fact that I had the game in my game cabinet for a few years and I am VERY impressed with how No Man's Sky has come. After a month of playing, I am loving EVERY minute of it and I like being a Gek who I am now an Outlaw destroying civilian freighters and exploring the galaxy with my frieghter and fleets. I am a "friendly" Space Pirate now... ha ha ha! I am definitely going to continue playing, especially after completing the Atlas Path Story. Bye the way, my starship is exactly the same as the starship you showed off with Destructible Freighters... except mines is Green and Red with the yellow mesh which somewhat matches my Freighter. Unfortunately, Green and Black are my colours and I wish we could paint our starships. I only got one so far. I will need a backup for the Artemis/Apollo Path Story from what I have researched. This game pretty much is complicated enough that I needed the No Man's Sky wiki for a LOT of things.
I initially played it in Creative Mode when I first purchased it and never touched it again for a few years. Now that I have given it a second chance thanks to the Echoes Update, I can say one thing - No Man's Sky is ONE of the BEST games that I have ever played. I am very HAPPY to give it a second go and I am absolutely enjoying it! If that doesn't say it, well... how about 3 or 4 weekly weekend sessions... and ruining my sleep. It is very rare for a game that makes it hard to STOP playing and No Man's Sky is gladly one of them for me. I am happy to be joining the community as a newcomer and it is only the beginning of a new chapter for me. Goes to show that second chances do exists in gaming and is a reason why physical games are just as important to have around as digital games. You may have bought a game from a store and only played a little and stopped but there will be time to play it later on when you have a lot of free time or just want a new adventure into a genre or theme that may not have intrigued you initially but you'll grow to appreciate it at the right time... and No Man's Sky's frequent updates work!
Great videos as always.
Love the more laid-back and detailed discussions and summaries you provide
It's nuts how now you can go to a corrupted planet, talk to the autophage, kill sentinels for them, get coordinates to a sentinel ship, go to a monolith, extract an atlantid multitool, scrap it for void motes, go back to the autophage and buy a staff, then use your sentinel ship to fight off pirate freighters..
None of this was possible at the start of the year, I love it!
Oh and I did notice since different body types on NPCs, it's sorta subtle just like with player body type presets.
I really wish there were better maps for navigating around the current star system, or a way to target things that aren't in your LOS - like a moon you know is there behind a planet somewhere but you can't tell where it is so you might be going the total wrong direction
Thank you very much Kanaju!
Your Videos are always so well made! Please more ; ) It is great to have you on the No Mans Sky Community
I totally missed the terrain manipulator screen on the multitool display. Nice.
This will come in real handy in VR since you don't have a reticle.
ngl, I haven't played the new update yet. Your videos have been lovely in getting a peek into it before I get back home! Thanks for the good work, mate!
I noticed that NPCs on my freighter now get in my face to complain...and NPC freighter captains go on a rant when deciding to purchase their freighter... I think it's pretty funny... Lol...
Can i just add, when you fight the Sentinal dreadnought, take out its engines at the back so it can't warp away!
And thanks for the video, dropped you a 👍
I like that you can destroy ships landed on planets, depots, and otters places now and collect parts
I been playing this game so much lately, it's like I have realized it's not getting better then this for a space exploration game after the starfield flop
Great video as always! I love your content.
Thx. That helps a lot not missing too much. Next i try to get into that singularity content. Wish you some hot drink with honey and ginger .
A couple of bothers I have is how the large artifact crate uses vortex cube thumbnails instead of something new which also happens with drop pods where one of the parts to repair is an image of carbon nanotubes but is repaired with sodium nitrate, yet carbon nanotubes are used to repair another section of a drop pod. Never understood that choice
I don't know if this is new to the update, or something included with the Singularity update, but there is a new deep-space encounter involving a malfunctioning sentinel ship that leads you to a crashsite. I've never seen this prior to expedition 11. Speaking of deep-space, I would love to see a video about the various deep-space phenomena and how to find them, as well as any unique interactions they have. I don't think any of us know everything regarding these, and you make pretty good NMS videos about relatively opaque topics, like the space curses.
I just had that happen the other day
Great video. Worth noting that scrapping a staff you maybe didn't like provides a cache of void motes
They nerfed infra knife. And also changed the living ship stats. And also the settlement NPCs are working on my end, this was only fixed (for me)this update. And last but not least. The NPCs in general are WAY different, different dialogue and different sizes (like you mentioned) but you missed the new texts that they have new animations and… the holographic friend makes Vy’keen sounds. Not gek lol. Other then these changes I think you did a very good job
Without your insight I would have missed a lot of the subtle fine points in the game - keep up the great works... 😅
I LOVE scrapping multitools.
I do a bit of a sentinel fighting play style that leads me to boundary maps or pillars directly. So I scrap tools. I'm not really a collector. I hardly keep two tools.
But I love that about NMS. There's a layer I like that doesn't necessarily have to be important or even good to everyone. It can be ignored.
(Hope they add more slots for our collectors)
Other way to get Void Motes is Scrapping the new Atlantid Multi-tools, and also scrapping multi-tools can give you expansion modules so thats also nice :)
Now I just need my Dreadnought freighter to attack other freighters like the pirates do.
That would be insane
I know the feature ain’t overlooked or maybe I’m just way too late on the updates but these massive pirate ships scare me to death
I'm ready for the station upgrades
SPOILERS FOR THE STORY
Kanaju, do you think that Nada could die in the final part of the story? Echoes seems to hint at Nada being linked to Korvax Prime and all of that. The next update will definitely focus on Nada a lot, but I’m honestly kind of scared that they will get killed off. Maybe Nada will die to save everyone on the Anomaly from death and they go in a modified version of Nada’s Echo Terminal to escape the death of the Atlas via time dilation? It sounds like a bit of a stretch, but I could genuinely see it happen. Nada could maybe feel guilty that they kept the truth about the Void Mother from us, so they feel the need to stay behind and put everyone into the simulation aboard the Anomaly. Nada already saw Polo die, so maybe that could be a motive too. I guess we’ll find out when the next update drops.
I've just came back to NMS recently and already feel a lot of changes made in between. I haven't even done the very first story bit of the original release, so I am a proper noob. But now I get a lot more combat action, both on foot and with the space ship with random encounters and pirates appearing. Is a lot of fun. The thing that's bothering me a bit about the space ship battles, is that they were fun at the start, but get old, because of the very limited ship controls. I really hope Hello Games will improve on space ship controls to make it more fun. A good reference would be a game like Chorus (basically a very arcady space ship shooter). Just adding the drifting system from chorus to NMS would already make a huge difference. (massive increase in possibilities of very cool manoeuvres together with the different thruster boost levels)
So far I have a lot more fun in NMS compared to back in the day and it is a welcome change to Starfield, which offered very little space exploration and left me wanting for more. A hole, that NMS can fill very well! I hope I'll encounter one such large scale freighter space battle, soon. It looked very epic and like a lot of fun! :)
(And it's something completely missing in Starfield. I prepped my character and space ship all game long for that huge space ship battle, that will come for sure at some point in the main story or at least one of the faction stories. But nope. There's literally NONE of that in Starfield!)
yay new video :D
It's so cool playing this game again in like a year and being able to destroy frigates it's so amazing.
Thx for the video!
How do I start the Singularity expedition content in the base game? I just returned to nms a few days ago, after lastly playing in ~2021.
still waiting for the spacestations update
If I just progress through the main story content, I'll eventually run into the Autophage content from Singularity, or is there a more specific way to trigger those missions?
Ended up losing a Permadeath save due to a Sentinel Freighter battle. For some reason, it appeared that the freighter didn't just get shields, but it was acting like it had some sort of a phase in/out effect, like the cloaking that the corrupted Sentinel Mini-Quads get when fighting them. I suspect it may have been a limitation of my system (playing under Linux, may need to drop some of the quality levels) but it's not something I'm likely to do for a bit in my new Permadeath save. I may take it up under a normal or survival save though. We'll see. There's plenty for me to play around with before I get to that point.
Decommissioning multi-tools I think has become a boon for gathering nanites, and multi-tool expansion slots, regardless of the option to otherwise trade in multi-tools, because of the Weapon Specialist having no limit on the number of multi-tools they give. You can get a seemingly infinite number of multi-tools from them in a day, so long as you have room, and if you put them in your freighter, they'll offer a different type and/or class in every system. Every time I log on, I go and grab 3 tools from them, and go decommission them, and check back every now and then to see what they have. I have no shortage of expansion slots or tools to trade-in, and another method of bringing in nanites by selling the tech gotten from decommissioning.
Man, I love the fact that you can dismantle Multi-Tools now
So many people have been asking to sell or remove old unwante weapons, and now we do.
Thank you traveller-friend.
The only thing I feel is missing every update is the lack of ground combat and like factional combat especially on planets it would be cool if there would be like planets that had procedurally generated bases scattered across a planet that you could take over and defend and have npcs fight alongside you and against you some using exo craft imagine having to win a space battle to assault a base and then having to capture every base on the planet for a nice reward like a conquest type of gameplay where you have to fight biological horrors or sentinels even pirates or just one of the 4 races little quests or side missions you can compete to have more help assaulting another base I know nms isn’t a combat focused game but I feel like it would be a blast
I Don't know if this was added earlier but originally when you go to the anomaly if you see a player solar ship it would always look like it is in flight mode in atmosphere and now they don't anymore.
Can anyone tell me if this was noticed by you aswell or was I just a temporary bug that I just experienced for a while that no one else had.
So I posted about it on reddit but I was wandering a dissonant planet and realized that the new tech in the staffs also will reveal the dissonant echo's that contain echo seeds from the singularity expedition in the main game now. I tried to run some to the terminal prime, nada and polo but they didn't do anything. So at the moment kinda useless but I thought it was kinda interesting to see they can be found. Wonder if they'll ever do anything again........lol
With the multi tool vendor, if you sell one of the newer autophage multi tool, you can exchange it for the new autophage DLC currency
Clearly not a dlc...
#4 I thought I was losing my mind on this, I couldn't tell if this was a new thing or it had always been that way.
HI Kanaju!
Wish we had the jetpack holes the capes have without the cape as a layered
Looking forward to the station update
FINALLY i can get rid of all my spare multi-tools
Great to see new No Mans Sky video content instead of Starfield like other No Mans sky content creators, thanks Kanaju!
Still waiting to be able to summon a different ship while on the space station! Can do it on the anomaly and your freighter, so what gives?
I would like to see some better combat on foot. I think they should add blasters and separate it from the multitool and also add a ADS
I would also like to see more enemies. instead of just fighting sentinels drones what if we could fight actual humanoid entities.
how do I start the Singularity content in main game? I have missed the expedition
How do you access the singularity expedition story in the base game? Will it unlock automatically while playing the story?
Can we see each others capes yet or no🙄
How do you start the singularity content?
Epic game 😎😮
woah i can now kill the entire fleet?!?!
Hi... What is the font name of text "please stand by"?
The only thing we want it more NMS video 😅and
Wait. Was I seeing that right? Did you just get THREE bulkheads for destroying that freighter?
I've not actually seen any of the new stuff yet. I've seen a pirate freighter that I've not worked out how to destroy, but apart from that, nothing.
How does one go about hunting treasure chests and keys? Or is that on another video?
Added detail: For MT repurposing/demo, Atlas MTs pay in Void Motes
Still no boss combat or new enemies other than Pirate Freighters. We need more interaction on planets.
I'm trying to get through the story to the endgame so I can build myself a robot body.
Till then, My lil Blue Gek boi will have to do.
How to get the ship from echoes trailer?
Wait, how do you access the singularity expedition content? I have a friend you never did it. And it was such a great story
It should be added automatically to the beginning of the new Echoes quest line. So once your friend gets to that point it'll add some requirements to gather echoes and stuff before getting to the newer stuff.
@@Kanaju oh ok. So it doesn't do the full story, and going to the Atlas and all that good stuff?
@@Joe-kh7nz I must be missing something too, I did "They who returned" but struggling to find any other mission that could be related to singularity
Echos is great
Вау крутое видео продолжай в том же духе!
Random question but when was the last time you saw a tornado in game? One of the features I love is adding the previously broken gravity storms to dissonant planets but I haven't seen a tornado in months & lightning is also rarer now
I just saw one streamer get flung off to their death by tornadoes in the game this past weekend.
Thought a class? What subject :)
I don't know why but asteroid fields in my game are never this dense, (i want them to be )
Quick question, do i need to start a new save to be able to play this update? What are the requirements to start this quest :(
You don’t need to make a new save, it just that the features in the update are made for late game. You’ll just need to finish the main quest and then it should start
@Bigpea167 i already finished the Atlas, and Artemis storylines, is there another that i need to do b4?
You need to adwance building your setlement, and doing the quests for it. After you complete the minotaur upgrade quest and warp to another system should trigger it.
@fulopistvan5578 thank u, gotta work towards it now
I want to have capital ship combat
What do you teach?
Is gamma too high ?
I’m on switch and last I looked the capes show on the previous expedition but it was locked even though I completed them. 🤷🏽♂️
Imagine building walkable spaceships like starfield, that would be awesome
SO THATS WHY IVE BEEN NOTICING A BUNCH OF BABY KORVAX I always thought I just never noticed that
I like to imagine the smaller ones are like children
Hello Kanaju friend, please allow me to give you a recommendation in regards of your Starfield and AC content, I consider that for a Gamer CZcamsr it would be appropriate to have separate account or youtube channels for each game so you can facilitate the job of the algorithm to promote each game content to its respective audience. Is just a comment. Hope you can read it.
dispointing, the game is nice but it was made for consoles,
menus not intuitive and over complicated
buggy controls with no precision
it take the fun out of the game, shame but another shot in the water
Wrong
I will never forgive that company for the lies they told. They are like ghosts as far as I'm concerned.
Said nobody with functioning brain cells
I got like half way through the new expedition then just like... stopped playing the game. It got so boring and tedious that I didn't care about the rewards, and I haven't picked the game up since. I'm sure I'll get back into it and at least finish the main story missions at some point, but damn, that expedition was brutal. I felt like I should have been getting paid
How about a skip main quest feature. The main story line is such a boring slog. Id like to skip it.
Or even better than that get rid of the CONSTANT quest reminders.
I have a problem with the sentinal capital ships disappearing during the fight in VR.
Same problem here, but not in vr
