It's lovely to plant trees and good for the soul and the soil! Although I would proceed with caution when planting trees from other countries....ash dieback came from imported ash trees. A fine example of one woman planting a woodland on her land can be found at the very special Bealtaine Cottage channel.

It is better to plant mostly trees that support the native caterpillar and bird food web. Most exotic tree species won't suffice

Why not let nature do it, jay's are pretty good and they don't use stakes and hideous tubes.
