Lived on my oceanic 30 for 27 yrs. She's the best. Sailed her all round Britain, Ireland next year. Tough as old boots, ran over 3 submerged rocks in Scotland, she slid straight over 'em, no damage. Not fast, but i go fast enough on land, i cruise for enjoyment, had 12 knots out of her in strong winds. She shoulders big waves to one side and bosses the sea. Love my old girl.
Looks like a very expensive project, pretty tatty and needs near everything redone if you're serious about actually sailing, silly price for what it is about 4x what people try to get for similar ones here, and yes they all need work of some sort and just because its a cat does not suddenly make it a jewel.
Yes, but this design has been popularized on CZcams! All you need is an invisible production team and a top quality drone...well a little skin in the game might help too.
@@gavinferguson But, if they aren't having a good time, then they hide it pretty well. I think what's his name eats salt peter'n cold showers to be the gentleman that he is. The Cherokee 35 catamaran on Wildings Sailing has me dreaming too. What a find! Well, I guess the verdict is still out.
Only 28 feet!!! Catamarans are now in vogue and their owners think they can sell their sailboat for more than they once bought. You have to love this barge a lot to use it! Almost everything needs to be improved. Because of this, the price is exaggerated. Three times the real value. A piece of outboard ... who knows what condition ... is nonsense. Not to mention any soaking, rotting, and the condition of all components. In any case, it seems careless and abandoned.
