Dominion: Storm Over Gift 3 is a military science fiction real-time strategy video game developed by Ion Storm and published by Eidos Interactive and released for Microsoft Windows on June 11, 1998. The game was originally developed as a spin-off of the mech simulation game G-Nome by 7th Level. Ion Storm acquired both Dominion and its lead designer, Todd Porter, from 7th Level for completion.

I still have the box, CDs (1&2), CD case, and manual in very good condition. Loved this game and took good care of all my games from the 90s.
Threw all mine out around 2006 or 2007 because they were obsolete and I "didn't want to be a hoarder". Had old education-surplus Macintoshes in bulk that I dealt with as scrap. Somebody slap me plz.
i remember falling down holding ramen while making my way back to my pc to play this. cant remember how i liked the game but i remember my keyboard smelling like chicken the entire time.

I know it wasn't exactly popular, but I loved this game. I made so many of my friends play it with me at LAN parties/hangouts.
Still have it for the PC... I remember picking it up as it was the sequel to G-Nome. I loved both games. Stealing enemy units was always fun. I think 'LUSHEE' was one of the cheat codes. 😂 Good times!

well in dominion u got the MERC widow maker special unit which can take over enemy vehicles. low armor and range though...and its super expensive.

@@Top107 Я с одним чуваком несколько дней потратил на то чтобы заставить мультиплеер работать, получилось только одним единственным способом при котором обмен данными был такой медленный что игра буквально превратилась в пошаговую стратегию (юниты перемещались на одну клетку раз в пару секунд и выполняли приказы с задержкой в секунд 10)... Хотя он сам играл в мультиплеер с другими людьми практически без проблем даже через Game Ranger, но почему-то одна и та же версия игры может идеально работать у одних людей и совершенно не работать у других (даже могут отсутствовать некоторые опции в мультиплеере).

Still have and still play this game; and the previous game that gave birth to this G-Nome. Mech Warrior was ok but Gnome i wish we would had more gems like that. 7th level had something there if they only could had survived.

u REALLY should order your men to crawl by pressing C.
50% damage reduction!!! and spread them out.
focus on rocket troops only. with crawling they are super cost effective vs anything.
Only the most heavily armored units can be a problem for them...and probably armored area of effect units like tier 2 bipeds.
Still, if u got enough of those and micro them well enough...u can deal with a few of those too.
But yes try to get some better units when u can, as they are only really strong early in a mission.
I remember getting this as a kid. I thought it was going to be like C&C Red Alert. It was such a disappointment.
I played it as a kid, maybe 12 yo. I remember sitting out the enemy. I bunker myself with turrets and long range tanks. Cutting of the enemy of resource pools. I love the Widow Maker and the flying units which are very good animated but need constant clicking to hit moving enemys..
I remember being around the same age when I played this game with my dad and brother. I would branch out these line of turrets and just completely surround the enemy base.

Ok but why does this game look so similar to Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds XD. The explosion sprites in particular lol.
it's interesting how they chose to not put shadows on the ground from the units. It makes the units look almost green-screened and pasted onto the backgrounds.
Even the original Command & Conquer from 1995 had shadows in the unit models and it made everything look so much better. Not sure why they went with this design here.
I have G-Nome, the original game, but the CD got damaged. Those were old good days, but never got this game, and the info was very scarce!
Lovely game, think my first strategy game for pc. Merc were the best race, light HP, but awesome damage :))
