I feel like so many child actors are forced to grow up too quickly but they still act like 5 year olds so that makes me very happy.
Madeline Johnson i think it's because they play their age. Their characters aren't the perfect little quirky kids that you see on disney channel. There is no image they have to uphold outside of a set other than their own. That's why so many child actors lash out and go crazy because they're forced to look like perfect angels in public or stereotypical goodie two shoes on set.
Rosy Gonzalez they actually play much younger, Caleb is 16 while he is playing an 8th grader
I've met Finn before (on the set of IT right not long after ST season 1 premiered) and he is so down to earth, funny and sweet. My younger brother is the same age and they act exactly the same. I'd imagine the other boys are the same! It's good to see they are acting their age.
