You will be missed coach. How crazy that you could have impacted a random teacher/coach from NY simply through personality. I feel like I lost a friend.

Looks like our fantastic MSU athletics media folks set him up with a nice camera on a different angle for this video upload, but the Zoom video footage looks similar for the two of them 👍🏼

The College Football universe will miss Coach Leach and his character that (in my opinion) designates him as a quality "Human Being" who cared more for others, than he did himself!
RIP Coach and my heartfelt sympathies and condolences to his entire family and the Mississippi State University community...

You have to admire a man that has the courage to actually speak the truth. Every detail of his path on his road to the coach that he was, not sugar coating, possibly avoiding the embarrassed parts that most people might not speak of like ducking out and disappearing on his student loans, living in the hood in Los Angeles with bars on his windows. It's the things to me that really matters , making him even more realistic, trustworthy, and no matter who you are or where you're from, your instantly a focused fan. I believe he could have been an excellent military General like George Patton in WW11,with his smart way of attacking anything in life and abilities to make everyone want to fight for him , simply by listening to his thoughts and ideas, brilliant ✌️👽

Thank you very much coach Leach for this experience I've just watched. My parents come from LC valley and I'm an Oregon State alumni. I've been a football player or coach ever since grade school flag football. I now run my grandparents ranch to the South of L/C. When you came to WSU and then spent a couple of weeks of your summer practices here we really appreciated that. I too respect Jerry Spence. My favorite phrase that he said was "The justice system is broke and it just can't be fixed." Let me just tell you that everyone in our area was so disappointed that you left, but most of us understand that you as a coach and as a man are where you want to be now. I still follow you, probably always will the rest of our years. Soon I'm headed to finish my bucket list and my cousin lives near the Everglades and I wanted to visit Key West in my camper and pickup. I really hope to meet you someday. Everyone here is rooting for Mississippi State trust me. Your replacement is a joke.

Any coach that followed Leach was doomed to mediocrity.
At TX Tech Tommy Tubby followed Leach. Tubberville made a total fool of his arrogant self in Lubbock. Thought he could be a commuter coach on a $2M salary. Now he's in the US Senate, failing there too. Leach = GOAT!
R.I.P. Mike! Swing that sword. 🏴‍☠️

Hoped my alma mater would take a chance on Leach after Tech railroaded him. But I quickly realized the faculty and administrators at Texas probably didn’t want a football coach that was smarter than 90% of the faculty.

It was Kent Hance. Kent grew up in my county... 65 mi NW of Lubbock. Kent had served a couple of terms in the House of Reps from this district. He couldn't stand that he was a nobody as long as Leach was at TTU. I'm surprised there wasn't an insurrection at Tech over the board's decision to cheat Leach out of his bonus. We couldn't fathom that he wouldnt win the lawsuits. I haven't been back to a game since. I love the annual requests for alum donations. I find it an excellent opportunity to tell them why I'll never give them another dime.

The air raid. It’s the splits. It’s the gap. It’s spreading the line. The most overlooked aspect of the air raid. The spread. Leach saying, the offensive line is his favorite position”, is the Easter egg of the offense.

From graduating with a law degree from Pepperdine to Coaching football in Finland and now in Starkville, this unique individual is a great addition to Mississippi State University. Fits perfectly with Mississippi State being the home of the Presidential library for General Ulysses Grant where a ten million dollar addition to the University’s library was added.

Donnie Walsh. Conflict and competition are what the two have in common. Blank vs Blank. WALTON s brother was a UCLA offensive lineman. . Whizzer White u.s. Supreme Court Justice. What law teaches that's similar to coaching is know your opponents case as well as your own . That requires perspective taking. Law School is like the marine corps training for the practicalities of life. Vandy had an A.D. lawyer who was a civil rights and securities law attorney.

I rather think that Leach can use 'big words' in the presence of mere football coaches and help them to understand the concepts. NOT that they could then go and USE the words.
