Your doctor can order vaginal DHEA suppositories through a compounding pharmacy, for pennies a dose. At $270/month, Intrarosa is outrageously expensive.

@@micasilver210 even 85$ a month is too expensive. DHEA is available an over the counter. You can skip the pharmacies altogether and insert a 5-10 mg tablet or capsule of DHEA vaginally for the same results

I have a DHEA compound BIO pill. Dissolves in my mouth. I did use them in the past. I’m going to see if I can start back with the Bio identical Estro and Progestero . It was good . 😊
Why do you want to switch? I’m curious if I need dhea but the intrarosa is too pricey for me.

Intrarosa would be my first choice, but sadly it is not covered by my insurance
The key words at the Drs office have to be: pain with s0x. That's how most insurance will cover it.
Would this type of treatment also help with bacterial vaginosis?
@Blueskies7775 Intrarosa or DHEA is not likely to help with vaginal infections . . . but there aren't any studies to test that idea. I have recently heard about a combination of estradiol, DHEA, and Lactobacillus in a vaginal insert. Lactobacillus is a bacteria that can be used to prevent or treat vaginal infections, either bacterial or fungal/yeast infections. There are some clinical trials that showed promise with Lactobacillus used vaginally.
It will restore the vaginal ph to 4.5, which most likely will take care of infections.
