Matt is always so graceful in these types of interviews... He got asked literally zero questions and still smiled and said thank you at the end.

George Nantes He does seem to insert himself more often now that’s true, but nearly all of the questions were about past Blink, Tom, or Mark living in the UK... Maybe if I watched the interview again I’d pick out more questions directed at Matt, but ain’t nobody got time for that!

I've mentioned this idea before, but I think it would be hilarious if Tom, Scott, and Dan Andriano (Alkaline Trio's bass player/Matt Skiba bandmate) started a second Blink 182. They would actually have more original members than the current Blink 182.

No Heart To Speak Of is one of the best songs I've heard in a long time. It's a dream song for Skiba's voice. You don't get that style of writing in Alkaline Trio.

Matt's and Mark's voice is so similar I get it confused sometimes. They are both beautiful though.

ThatGuyMike TV I don’t know why everyone is so worried to ask about Tom. He is a founder member. Any blink fan would want to know. She was respectful imo.
Tom played songs that he helped write or wrote himself. It's a property thing. Same goes for Paul McCartney and Ringo when they play Beetles songs at their concerts. They don't own all the rights to most of the discography, but the ones they wrote and still own, they can play.

Honestly at this point after so many years loving the original blink trio I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out.
Tom is starting to produce that BCR sound but with ambient spacey influence, What I feel the three would have done if they stayed together.
And Blink is making this new sound with a different vibe while still playing the old song's 🤘

I came here to here the Tom questions, but honestly I enjoyed the rest of the interview so much more. This interview really reminded me how much I love Blink no matter what.

Love Blink, but Alkaline Trio is one of my fav bands, and I have to say... Matt is such a pro in these interviews. I love Tom, but it seems like him and the band are actually in a good place. Leave it be. Their record(s) with Matt have sold well too. Stop ignoring the man. HE IS IN THE BAND.

Theres no chance that will happen. Tom has easily written over half of Blink's songs. All Matt does during 90% of Blink's shows is play Tom's old songs. Now, if Tom rejoins Blink, Blink won't need anyone covering Tom's guitar verses and lyrics.
Rafael Toro I never said it would happen. Also have you seen blink 182 live recently? Yes a majority of what the play is hits obviously, but they have two albums worth of songs with Matt on them so he fits in just fine live.
I may miss Tom in blink, but how grotesque to ask when will Tom come back with Matt right there, specially considering how great NINE was in the context of this current line up

Luke it must be already hard enough for him(or really anybody that would be put in a similar position) to be in a band that has that strong of a legacy with someone else, in addition to having his own credentials, and having this ‘presenter’ who is meant to be a ‘professional’, come and say to his face ‘we prefer the other guy, when are you leaving?’. Kudos to both of them for keeping their cool, but that would have been a perfect place to pull a ‘1 minute’ Billie Joe stunt

Matt must be in a conflicted position, suddenly "filling big shoes" and facing stardom and backlash, press and world tours... all while being told "we want Tom back", that's gotta be hard.
I listened to Alkaline Trio in high school, songs about addiction and alcohol, it makes me wonder if he's found comfort in addiction again to take the edge off reality, because that's a lot to deal with.
I can tell Mark misses Tom. He gets excited when he’s mentioned.
Carlton if you look at Mark’s Instagram, he put up a post sometime in September of him and Tom and had captioned “I miss the old Blink”

@@SkellyLake skiba doesn't have to be rhythm; it would be cool if they just traded off different riffs or one can do lead in every other song. Or they can go iron maiden style and play guitar harmonies together. There is so much they can do with 2 guitars haha

I personally, really really dislike dark side. The music video really doesn't help this opinion.
They are easily stand out tracks. Pin the Grenade is my personal favorite, but those two are right behind it.
