- The North Link Trail and South Link Trail are connecting trails between the Black Forest Trail and the Susquehannock Trail System. These four trails create a 25 mile loop that makes for a nice weekend loop. There are two small parking areas along the South Link Trail. Both the South Link Trail and North Link Trails are really a collection of smaller hiking and multi-use trails that connect the BFT and STS and are blazed yellow with the actual trails being blazed red. Some dirt tracks aren't shown on the map for the North Link Trail so hikers should be vigilant to ensure they stay on-trail. Both the Black Forest and STS are blazed orange. The South Link Trail crosses streams many times without bridges as does the BFT section along County Line Branch so hikers should be prepared to get wet during times of high water. The section of the South Link Trail from the BFT to Robinson Rd is well blazed but sees little use so the trail itself unestablished. Almost all of the prime campsites are located along the Black Forest Trail portion of this loop. This section of the Black Forest includes a nice rock scramble along with several beautiful vistas.
