This song doesn't NEED to be re done. Perfection like it is
No, no one should ever cover this - ever. It's perfection being the final song on the final album. 😢 RIP Bonzo.
AGREE 1000%
My absolute favorite Led Zep song.
Last track on their last album (1979). Fittingly a Blues tune but with JPJ's synths it's a stand-out masterpiece. Another great LZ song you never hear on the radio.
Ending the studio run (minus Coda outtakes) with the blues....right where they started.....
The GREAT LED ZEPPELIN!!!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Even if it was redone they could not out do this Led Zeppelin is phenomenal
Bite your tongue! You don't REDO Zeppelin. Love you still
Hidden gem!!
R.I.P. Bonham. This album was his last. I remember running to the music store with great expectations. Try-Carouselambra from this.
I love this especially live! Aren't they just magnificent?
This is the Final track of their Final studio album from 1979!! RIP John Bonham!!
Hey bro!!! I’m glad your back!! I’m Aboard for 2.0 and hey, talk about the best band here! These guys could make elevator music sound kick ass! Time to get the Led out!
It's a beautiful song 🎵 You probably already know the deal w this song. It's the last song, on their last album - John Bonham, their drummer died a little over 13 months later. Bonzo does some incredible fuzz or buzz rolls into and out of the guitar solo.
Jimmy's guitar solo sounds like it's crying. Jonesy's keyboards are immaculate.
Robert's voice is great, bc he finally got to rest his voice for a real significant break from July 1977 to Nov of 1978.
Robert had nodules growing on his vocals cords in 1973, as his voice began to change - his voice got grizzled and rough.
Robert had the nodules removed in late 1973 and didn't get to rest his vocals cords bc Led Zeppelin began recording for Physical Graffiti in Jan of 1974.
His voice had struggled due to nodules. He revealed the surgery finally in 1988 and said [the surgerywas 15 years ago]
Great song, great album! Btw, your laugh and smile are contagious 😄😘
It's the last song off of their last album.. So yes, it's late era Zep :-)
This is their last song on their last album ever..
Great song!
Thank You, I loved this!! Great album, more please!!😁
Page signing off for the last time with Zeppelin. Goosebumps.
ITTOD is their final studio album. Coda is next and final album, it was rumored to fill a contractual obligation and assembled from the 12 year run and is comprised of discarded and shelved songs with a studio recorded "concert" item from Bonham. Coda is considered clunky but so worth the listen with some incredible music. Check out Wearing and Tearing, I can't quit you baby, Bonzo's Montreux and Traveling Riverside Blues on Coda deluxe. Just joined..
Coda is amazing too!
this was their last studio album just before John Bonham their amazing drummer unfortunately died way too young.
I love this album. Check out Southbound Suarez for us! ✌️
It's fun! I've been with you since RT 1.0 til now, R2T2 (as I think of you). And you have a soft spot or a penchant for the off-the-beaten-track Zep tunes. Good for you, man. I watch for all new Zep, Floyd, Who, Dire Straits, Jethro Tull, Rush, Peter Gabriel, Yes, Supertramp reactions... and most folks only do the ultra- popular ones. So I LOVE when questing folks like you look among the hidden gems. See what you keep finding? Priceless treasures! Hi from Canada- peace and be safe.
If you like the blues , they got few great one;
Baby , Come on Home
Your time is gonna Come
The Lemon Song
Since I been loving you
Tea for One
This song was for his daughter, Robert"s son died in 1977 , 2 years later this was released
My ego is going to assume that this is in response to the comment I made about how you can't have a top 10 unless you've heard the entire catalog. That in addition to how I had gotten turned on by this song as of recent, having heard it many times over decades, and how Led Zeppelin songs will effect you different ways at different times.
This is the last song they ever made 😔
So bittersweet... A great tune (fantastic, actually) but the end of Led Zeppelin. Put this on Led Zeppelin 1-2-3-4 and we're talking about it in the same vein as "You Shook Me", Black Dog, etc.
I'd never have thought that this song by LZ. They sound so different here.
This is their last studio album b4 their drummer, John Bonham passed.😪
I commented on your in my time of dying video. I forgot to tell you great job👍...
This was their last album as a band.
Big rabbit hole.....
Do the Coda album next!
You got a good ear this is Robert Plant after Led Zeppelin.
After LZ , Try some solo Robert Plant . Fate of Nations , great album .
I want Jerry Cantrell to redo this song. My fav guitarist doin my fav LZ song.
Please check out Robert Plant's Solo Career......Check out
"Robert Plant - Tall Cool One - 29 Palms - Big Log - Heaven Knows - Ship of Fools - Sea of Love...
They could redo it but it ain't gon sound like this
Beth Hart would knock a cover version of this song out the god damn park....just sayin'!!
