I hate to say it, but this event is fully made for those who invest heavy - and designed to make you feel bad if the majority of your guild is not doing so as well. It's another psychological move to get you into heavy spending to be competitive. I do get, that they probably not have that much guilds to compose the opponents much more on eye level but I also suspect they do this on purpose. One great deal of this game is that they always present you with those who are stronger and therefore get you frustrated at loosing to them. Loosing does not feel good and I get why people quit. It's quite not fun, when not more balanced.

It's not wrong for us peeps to share these criticisms, especially when events like Lara Croft and this one really entice peeps to spends more, more and more money...
Nexters might not listen to the feedback I give after each of these events to share with them how focusing too much on psychologically enticing people to spend money can eventually turn on the devs...

Has Zeus-sensei already expressed some thoughts on the psych-spending of Hero Wars?
I understand Charlie of Hero Wars Central often talks about this, and he's openly advised players not to spend beyond their means and to also keep sending critical feedback to Hero Wars...
In fact, a lot of people quit. Isn't it the same in your guild? There's a lot of turnover.
They don't realize that even if they spend a lot of money, it's pointless if there's no one to show off their superiority complex and desire for validation.
First of all, the fact that there are opponents against whom attacks don't work is a flaw that makes the game not work.

@@LittleBituin I've been playing not so long - just since the last week of December 2023. In the beginning they got to me with their psych tricks and I did spend regularily (VF, Golden Tickets, Add-on bundles, Emeralds, Subsciption for the island moves and for the Lara event). The Lara event did throw me off because they completely rubbed me the wrong way with this by overarching all the tactics of manipulation (I even bought the Lara-extra-Ticket). And when a bug compromised my Lara-event-gameplay and I needed support, support did not responded well and that's when I instantly quitted any payment. I just thought: no you will not get paid a single cent anymore for doing bad to me. Needless to say this current AoC event reinforced my point in not spending (even if I was very, very much tempted for the guaranteed light or dark totem at the end of this current season).
I called it when they said about it. I said it sucks and it sure does. Like any event, it does not give you power levels close to your own.. It is just weird entirely, the coins are weak, and not much goes on. This event is totally pointless
We have drawn a guild that is way above our level so we got smacked. And not fun to attack teams in the dark, not knowing the composition. Very time consuming event as well. I dislike it.
Totally agree! We do have gotten 2 much stronger opponents and 1 on our level. Needles to say that they put the equal one diagonal to us on map so in our left corner are way to strong ones and on the right castle nearby the same. We don't get far because their stongest teams (outweighing ours about 1/3 or double strenght are simply kicking us back to castle all the time - and receiving 100 points for doing so). This selection of player field is quite awefull and only fun for the two ones kicking us around. And if you want to be somewhat active, it's way to time consuming. Only for those who don't actually have a life, I assume. :-(
The game balance is messed up and it doesn't work as a game, so it's only natural that it's not fun for anyone.
In my Area of Conquest, I've just been sitting on the center settlement since shortly after the event started, and none of the other 3 teams have attacked me yet. It seems that teams close to our team's power level just don't want to participate in the event.

This Event is sadly bugged. Me and some other guild members cannot load it anymore. Load button appears when clicking on it and never goes away. Help!
okay, I think this event is made for the high power heavy duty players. having said that, there is a strategy all can use. before you attack a heavy opponent , attack a weak one. this is because your health will not go down so much, BUT your energy STAYS as is from the previous fight. So you start with a bang. However it seems recharging your health with a heart restarts the energy ?

Well said, it requires your time, your teamwork with other guildmates and most important your $$$$ to dominate the conquest. And sadly the rewards are pretty meh. Developers should consider doing a best of 64 teams showdown. From quarter finals to semifinals then finals. Give better rewards starting from best of 64.

There are no secrets, all you need to win is real money.
Strategy is of no use if the other Guilds throw in a lot of money.
We were first with a nice lead until 3/5 players from an enemy Guild put in a lot of money.
I have to say thumbs up for the creators of the event, because I think it is a very nice event, especially because you now have much more contact and teamwork with the members in your Guild.
I know this is a pay-to-win game, but it would have been more fun and fair if they didn't do that at events like this.

Also entweder habe ich das ganze event komplett falschverstanden, oder ich habe einfach Pech. Ich bin seit 3Tagen hier völlig alleine auf der Map, keine Gegner, keine anderen Gilden. Ich kann mich ganz seelenruhig auf die 32 Siedlung stellen und Punkte kassieren. Die Belohnung ist dürftig und lohnt den Online- Zeitaufwand nicht

do not like this several times attack setelments and get move to far and sent back to castle with out fighting or have to restart game :(
Zeus-sensei made many points about internal guild strats and tactics!
Could you also consider some silly-alliance-building theorycrafting as well, e.g. how to communicate to another enemy guild that your nearby settlements shouldn't be attacked nor you shouldn't be harassed and instead they should aim to rank for the position above them (i.e. if Rank 4 guild's score is close to the Rank 3 guild's, they should focus on attacking that guild/obstructing them/harassing them with hit-and-run tactics instead of attacking Rank 2 guild)?
That situation's been happening on our server, with Rank 4 guild hitting us Rank 2 guild (my stronker guildmates are now focused on attacking the center instead of harassing Rank 3 and 4 guilds: we've kinda decided naturally that best to put all attacks and time towards the Middle/Center).

you need to find other guilds in discrd and create group chat to communicate if they agree to create alliance

It's tough if there's nobody on the Discord with the right people and guild + the whole collusion would get revealed at once!
'was thinking if it's possible to "hint" at the certain guild in the gameplay itself -- like... "Hey, stop harassing us because you'll only hurt your chances in the long run!"
But it looks like the guerilla-tactics/harassing guild that I mentioned still keeps attacking that 4p base to our East... so my guildies kinda made the consensus to attack back yet still focus on the center....

This is the worst event ever.
They put guilds from servers 50 and 300 together, no idea what their criteria are. The guilds from the older servers have players with double the teampower than the best players from the new servers. There is no chance to beat this players. So ridiculous. They could mix the guilds from servers 1-20, then from 21-40 and so on. But they don't do it. Babysitting this event all day long sucks too. Bad rewards, bugged as hell. No fun at all.

@@Olympushw saidly the points and castle level are not the only ones a lot of players postet screens in discord that they got with the help of gold ticket over 100k chests opend them and they upgrade their heros like crazy hopefully they take that away as well because unfair as hell
I'm with you Shiba-Inu (love the breed! ), and I was thinking along the same lines. But I would proffer this...These events must have a very strong appeal for the high-level folks and the whales. They are the big spenders. They keep the game alive. Most of us low level folks can barely afford the $2/week to get Valkyrie's Favor just to speed up battles. But it's the big spenders that allow us to play at all...no income, no game. I will say that we do get some good rewards from all of this even if it is the crumbs from the table, it just takes an inordinate amount of time...but we do grow our hero's and guilds slowly. Patience is what I have to keep telling myself, and to remember its basically free, and to just have fun. Good luck and have fun everyone! That's lovely! Thanks! Your point of view is valid. I am not paying the VF anymore (not bc. I can not but I want not) so I need to do the work on arena for prestige points. This was actually a good thing - I am quite successfull at GA (top 30s and thats my emerald income) but not at the normal arena (top 80 at most) and to get the prestige points I needed to let my account be thrown down very deeply in ranking. But than to climb back up and find the perfect ballance for winning but not killing the lower level ones instantly and giving my team the opportunity to use their ults as much as needed for the prestige quest fulfilling is kind of fun.
Your good luck whish also came true: I got a third fire totem fragment for simply opening the artefact sphere for daily quests three days ago!

What's all this "similarly ranked guilds' horse s**t they are spewing? They put us with 3 junk yard a$$ Dog, Brutus a$$ guilds, man. i swear every other squad i come across has around 3 - 4 twelve star Cleaver's with skins not even available that just has to breathe on you and your whole team dies *throws hands up in resignation while rolling eyes disdainfully* there's no beating around the bush. instantly DEAD. Whole team. As if there was an Iris inside each one of them 12 star Exotic Asian Mafia Skinnned Cleavers, pulling souls, WHILE they beat you to death *rolls eyes*
And not to mention: I guess they don't care about picking at each other a lot - they just enjoy picking on your guild as much as possible? At least at our map thats the case.
The heavy one recently moved in to our castle spots and constantly fight the teams not moving - earning tons of points, it's redicioulous ...

Absolutely hate this event. Some faulty programming made my game lag to no end and loses all dailies and other event things. And just Amira standing there blowing teams up left and right. If it's one guild war that's okay. But she gonna just be there for a whole week. When she blows teams up, she'll get full energy for the next fight, and the next. Blowing teams up before they can do anything...

castle 282 & 26M coins, alright🤣🤣 i hope they are resetting the chests as well, it's totally unfair. apparently some people got millions of skin stones and ascension materials from chests.

I'm interested in finding out how peeps still play the game despite it being money-hungry-greedy.
For me, it's more like... I understand people's frustrations, and even though Hero Wars might not listen, I keep sending Feedback to them, reminding them that it's different kinds of players -- F2P, light spenders, heavy spenders -- that help support the game... Losing F2P players will still be a demerit to the game even though there are a few who put a lot of money into it...
Anyway, I fully understand what you feel!

Very boring event actually, 3 days now not much happenning, everyone is still hoddled around there castles
only about 10 of us have gone out & captured some sets & so far we are #1.. tho the 2nd position reward seems to be the better to get

the best event ever! I hope he gets permanently into the game!!! quite entertaining and keeps you going. for those who complain that they fell against strong guilds they can simply with a message to the guildmaster make an alliance it is not prohibited by the rules take advantage of many advantages
