THIS!! I'm sick of seeing it everywhere. Poor 16yr old RM wont be able to catch a break because ARMY insist on bringing this up. Not fair to him. They would respect another member. It really rubs me up the wrong way that we flipping started with this. Turn "I" into "O" means that this person change his "Live" into "Love". The lyrics of this song is filled with wordplay, my favorite is the part often translated to "I am just a human, you erode all of my edges and make me a love" the genius in the writing is the word "human" (사람 and pronounced saram) is only a consonant different from the word "love" (사랑 which is pronounced sarang) and if you noticed that of your erode the edges of 사람 it turns into 사랑.

I believe in Fate, but I also believe in free will. I believe we're each destined to be something, or in a certain .place with certain people. I also believe that our free will determines how we get there and how many lessons we learn along the way.
As a person who went to a therapist your wrong they are really helpful , my therapist gave me a lot of helpful things to do so I can get better, like exams and tests and things to do that really helped me a lot ( I think you got a wrong idea of therapist, they don’t only listen, I remember we used to make a lot of notes , try to fix a schedule and use different techniques for anixty and panic attacks and anger , and a way to focus we did a lot of things)

Yea you are correct abt the therapy thing as a Psychology/human services student, it mostly depends on what type of therapy it is but in terms of what I assume you’re referring to ‘Counseling Therapy’ then you’re right, it generally just to open the clients eyes to their actions and mindset as well as other ppls actions and eventually give them a bit of advice they could or could not take, it different case by case but the goal is guidance not direction.

Childhood events can affecting us in thousands of ways all our lives and often the thoughts, beliefs attached to them do not serve to benefit us in the present or hold us back. So learning more about how we tick, can help us progress, face things, now with the light of our adult thinking shed on everything, versus staying stuck in the wounded child inside. We can come to understand things that happened differently, to get over things, forgive others, forgive ourselves, grow more inside.
Healing from traumas is usually long delayed for those who've gone through them, then they struggle in early adulthood because they're still stuck there holding in all that pain, fear and they may not even truly see how much some events or ways their parents failed still effects them. Trust issues, inability to move past holding all that in., anger issues, mood swings & more result. Beliefs ingrained in us through experiences can really mess with how we treat others, choices we make, whether we can maintain good relationships or concentrate even.
It is we who have to do the digging and work on ourselves, our habits & thinking to change the things that we want to change, but an objective person who has no stake in what you share with them can make our progress go much faster, if they're good at what they do. (For example ; your sister or Aunt is going to have their opinions already of your childhood based on their view of your parents & their own experiences in the family, but a stranger does not have all that info. blocking them from having an unbiased assessment of your childhood.)
Therapists, group counseling sessions, groups like AA and NA, can help us identify problems & reasons why we do what we do, quicker than we'd ever figure that out on our own, because people are blinded to things that might be pretty obvious to others, by the different ways we'll try to deal with our pain, on a subconscious and /or conscious level. We'll repress, live in denial, ignore our feelings, refuse to accept reality that's hard to take, shove feelings down with all kinds of substance use to block out or numb painful things. We doubt our own memories and feelings. So if you're stuck, need to grow in some ways, feel too much pain, try to find groups or a therapist and start sharing it all.
