I love Paul Rubens watercolours because of their prize and quality, I only own tubes, they are nice to work with. I also wonder about the “SuperVision” watercolours, are they a sister company from Paul Rubens? I’ve seen a lot of products under that brand on AliExpress (I even bought some of their artist collection “grey watercolour” series) so I’m very curious to see your thoughts about them 🤔✨
Ty. I haven’t painted in a very long time. My late mother was a phenomenal watercolor artist. All of her top of the line paints (including various specific reds to get just the right pigments) and top tier quality brushes are in storage. I’m attending a virtual art retreat with Alisha Burke on my actual birthday, and wanted to have a compact beautiful watercolor set that wouldn’t break the bank. I came upon this pallet & then found your video. Your video is so calming, & your paintings are beautiful. To me, they’re like a fast poem I’d write that is spectacular.
I bought the 24 half pan pink palette for my wife and popped them out and replaced them with DaVinci watercolors! I did. Get the metallic colors and I have become less obsessed with light-fastness in the last few years. With the optimal advancement of UV blocking glass and sprays even scanning and printing out your artwork will preserve it for the future! I do enjoy your videos and I think any review video this time of year will get extra traction and help your channel. I hope you consider doing the other palette for Rubens as well, I mean why not it was already sent to you and you should take it vantage of free product placement! All 3 arts are amazing. About PR sketchbook is my favorite ever. I have finished 5 and i will forever love it. I have tried so many, but its my favorite for watercolor and pencils on top. If any of the team of PR is hearing, pls make another bounting side like moleskines are. That would be a dream! I have not used PR watercolors wish i could buy them individual and not all the set. I enjoyed this a lot!! The second portrait is so beautiful! Question: Do you prefer having darker pencil lines? I know some artists prefer to have very light lines so they don’t appear much after the paints have been laid.
I have the paul rubens 12 glitter palette, which are gorgeous but I've been on the fence about getting one of their regular palettes as I just got the 45 winsor and newton cotman one. Once its started to run out I'll probably get a paul rubens palette after seeing this video, they look amazing
