    Congratulations with the orange beast, we have the 800xc and 600xc late 21 models, excellent machines on the 800 i have done 5500 km 3400 miles without a single problem I changed belt at 3000 miles not that it was needed but as prevention
    Your comment about speedo is correct check it with a gps however via your dashboard buttons you can enter a menu to calibrate that depending on tire size if interested i can share with you

    I was going to get the Can Am 700 max xt but man out the door with there bigger warranty it was 16 grand. I paid 10,800 out the door for the CF 800 with the tires and storage bags. My friend has had his for 2 years now . He put over 800 miles on it no issues at all. Another guy I know bought a Polaris and the first day swamped it going through some standing water that everyone else was having no issues with. Somehow he got water in the intake . One of the reasons I went with the CF 800 is how high up all the intakes are and the battery. I don’t do a lot of mid or water but it’s nice to know that if you have to you can

      I also was looking at the Outlander 1000 but the price was holding me back. Not that the money was the issue. Just couldn’t see spending something like that for what I use it for. And sinking ATV’s is the worst feeling ever. My 600 accidentally got sunk and had to replace the motor. It was not fun! 😞

      @@slawdogshenanigansI’m kind of pissed the dealership didn’t tell me they would be coming out with the 1000 2 up. I would have pre paid and waited for them to come in. Then again it’s a new transition new engine new everything. What bothers me is the new 800 has almost 80 hp and the new 1000’s will be pushing 95 hp. The 800’s at 80 hp would be right up there with Polaris 850 and big Can Ams. Although our 800’s have plenty of juice so I shouldn’t really be that pissed about it. I know my 800 stays right on my buddies brute force 750’s ass and he only weighs about 150lbs compared to my 250 or 260lbs

    Just bought my 800xc last weekend, same color. She's awesome. You'll have to learn to blip the throttle constantly on downhill to keep the engine braking engaged, that's the big difference from the 600.

      @slawdogshenanigans  Před 4 měsíci +1

    Play with those multi-level gas shocks and loosen them up. It is set for 2 people and is very stiff. There is also a setting for fast trail riding and slow by simply twisting the dial. It will ride like a dream once you find that sweet spot.

    I left the preload alone on mine and went full soft on compression and full fast on the rebound and the suspension softened up considerably on my . Seems to even work fine with 2 200+ lb guys on it that way. As i start to ride it more aggressively i can add a few clicks in as i go

    My question is when you got it 2 days prior to this did you do a break in drive or what ever they call it
    I'm new with these machines and I don't wanna mess it up...

    • @slawdogshenanigans
      @slawdogshenanigans  Před měsícem

      This is my second CForce, I also have the 600 touring model. Dealer was clear with me about break in and I had no issues listening to them on this. They said just drive it! Don’t do any hard full open throttles but ride it normal. After 200 miles I changed the motor oil and it looked brand new! The diff oil did have some metal dust on the plug magnet but that is normal. No flakes or chunks.
      All our guys who have these did the same!
      Just ride it but don’t thrash it. Also I’ve been told the 200 mile/ 20 Hr breaking they recommend is on the conservative side. I’ve seen many wait to 500 miles before changing the oils and had no issues at all.
      Hope this helps? Enjoy your new ride!

      Man I love them but definitely don’t rip donuts with them. I put it on its side the first day. Lmao love the 800 though . It has some good torque and it’s pretty damn fast. Put mine on its side and all that happened is a ding in the front right corner panel. Oh and it is heavy . So putting it back on 4 wheels is a good workout. Lmao

    I loved listening to that machine throughout the entire video. And I like your thought process on why you went with the 2nd Gen 800.
    That said, my wife feels the same way about the 1000 as your wife. Buy the 2nd one 1st. And I will consider buying the 3rd Gen 1000 touring model.
    But I want to see them in person.
    On a separate note, did you buy from Blackmans?
    And if so, how are they to do business with?

    • @slawdogshenanigans
      @slawdogshenanigans  Před 4 měsíci

      Thanks! I don’t see me moving to the 1000 for many years down the road, if I do at all.
      I did buy it from Blackmans. The sad thing is the darn fees involved with buying these! The shippers are still gouging the consumers horribly! They were easy to work with, just don’t expect any wiggle room on price. Not even a dollar!!
      The new 2024’s are running a $1500 rebate right now which is why I jumped on this when I did!

    Only thing I dont like about the 800 is the size. Not the power because I have other big bores, but the actual size and weight of the machine. I see the new ones they are coming out with they dropped about 60lbs off them but I still like the 800xc, but not sure if Id like it as much in the woods? Congrats on the new ride and look forward to hearing more input on the machine the more miles you put on.

      I have a '23 800xc, it's my first machine, first quad I've ever ridden. I'm also older and I'd say no, if you take things slowly, watch some videos, maybe even if you have a friend to show you some things, you'd be fine. They're not cars though. Take an obstacle in the wrong way, don't lean into it when you throw the back end out... things like that, just need to learn before you start thrashing it. They are tall, I look down slightly to a driver sitting in my mid size SUV.

A few of them are pretty novice riders and they run helmet audio so you get some insight into how more experienced riders tackle things trail riding. Good natured bunch too.
