- The Rakiura Track on Stewart Island/Rakiura is arguably the most remote of New Zealand's Department of Conservation's (DOC) Great Walks. Highlights of the track include navigating dense rainforest, combing remote beaches, and spotting awesome wildlife, including the Kiwi if you're lucky! A must see if you are in NZ! If you have the chance, you should totally take some time to explore the Ryan's Creek optional track, and Ulva Island. Footage in this video includes Oban, Maori Beach, Lee Bay, Port William campsite, Port William Hut, North Arm Campsite, North Arm Hut, and Ryan's Creek track, all Part of the Rakiura Track.
Filmed 100% on the GoPro Hero 4 Silver Edition.
Edited in GoPro Studio.

Thank you, Nicole! That means a lot.
Cool! I love New Zealand! Will have to add this to the list. :)
Definitely!!! It was amazing. Its a place that most people dont get to see when they come to NZ
Nice video. Makes me all the more excited. We are going there on the 18th. ☺️☺️☺️

Cool vid man
sprucemoose3000 thanks mate!
Hi Guys nice video, what was the challenges during this walk?
Mud and sand flies!! Other than that it's pretty easy =)
Hey! Such an amazing video! Really liled the vibe and editing ;) Beautiful scenary - well done! May I ask how do you get such a smooth sliding camera and what camera do you use (picture seems so clear!) thanks ;)
Hey there! Thank you for the kind comment =) I used a GoPro hero 4 silver, filmed in 2.7K and used a 3 axis gimbal (steadygim 3 easy rider) to stabilize the camera. Then I did some minor color correction in GoPro Studio. Hope that helps!
Thanks a lot for your reply! ;) I also use GoPro Hero Silver, but don't have a SteadyCam - costs the same as new GoPro cam - effect looks so smooth though! :) It helps - thank you!
NXIETYofficial no problem! It wasn't actually that expensive. 250 Canadian for the stabilizer. Worth looking into. Or just buy the Karma hahah =)
What views! Subbed as well :)
Cheers man! Appreciate the support

The foliages of this island seems a bit..alien for me. Or it was especially made for the kiwis to live and hide.
New Zealand has some really unique flora!!!
I know it's a long time ago but what animal was it at the end of this video?
That is a kiwi bird
