Nice video... I Was reading many blogs to understand reset vs adjust.. but this is pretty clear.. thank you ❤️..expecting more videos from you..
Thanks Lavanya. I had the same issue and not many videos either, so just posted this. A better video on SPAU will come up soon. Thanks for subscribing, I appreciate it:)
Hello Vrushali, nice video with good explanations. Appreciated😊.
Very useful and precise, wish more educational videos are like yours.
Good Job
Thanks.
Thank you 🙏 Glad the videos are useful:)
No lengthy intro talks.. No boring PPTs.
Crisp and to the point - Exactly what I look for when I come to learn in CZcams.
Thanks a bunch for making this. Please continue posting.
Subscribed.
Thank you for the feedback! Really appreciate it 🙏
You made it appear so simple with your explanation. Thanks a lot Vrushali. Looking forward to your SPAU video and and upgraded SPDD video as promised. Very helpful.
Thanks Nair. I’m doing SPAU soon, so that will be up in the next couple of days:)
And thank you for subscribing! Much appreciated:)
Well explained..Good work..Thank you for sharing knowledge..
Thank you 🙏
Nice Explanation, thank you
While doing spau ...notes .you should be careful because there are some changes in program which we created and in standard ...we face issue after completion of spau ..
After spau ..while doing testing we have to check keko t code
Hi Vrushali - It is quite informative. Thanks for creating these videos.
However, I have a question related to this video. If SPDD is supposed to be pre-upgrade activity, then what is the use of RESET and ADJUST functions in this step (SPDD), as these are supposed to be used for those changes which are brought in by the new version after the upgrade.
Thank you. Glad you find these videos useful :) Actually SPDD and SPAU are technically mid-upgrade. So system finds these objects pre-upgrade, we update/reset it during that period (system pauses its upgrade while we are doing spdd/spau), and then the upgrade continues.
Can we skip absolute notes in SPDD ? And if we confirm the absolute note by action what will happen?
Hi, I have a doubt. Do we need to perform SPAU & SPDD during S4 HANA Migration or is it handled by the Simplification item lists (ATC checks)?
They are 2 separate things. ATC can infact be skipped, but SPDD/SPAU are mandatory.
Hello Vrushali, nice video and very very helpful, one thing... which team is responsible of this acitivity? Basis, DEV team? maybe functional team ?
thanks so much :)
Spdd, spau is Dev team’s responsibility:)
Yes it was informative video , btw which SAP GUI version and theme u are using?
Gui 770 and classic theme
Pls upload all SAP Basis course series
I wish I knew Basis much. I am in ABAP 😊
Hello Vrushali, Currently we are performance SPDD activity in my project where in the table vbrk some new fields got added with the upgrade and there is customer append structure then what is the activity to be performed whether reset or adjust??
You apply reset first, and make sure to add customer append after the upgrade is completed.
How to adjust the structure incase some of field are getting removed while reset
If you want to adjust your structure and keep previous fields, go for adjust. Not reset.
Nice video vrushali.
Can we skip Note adjustment in SPDD?
Also, Will the same notes be visible in SPAU after upgrade, if so, can we handle them in SPAU post upgrade?
I’d advise not to skip the Notes part, because a lot of standard objects could be automatically taken care of in the Notes. Otherwise you’ll need to adjust more number of objects manually.
But if you happen to skip the notes part, it will come up after the upgrade anyway, so no worries.
Also SPDD Notes and SPAU notes would be different, cause one is for DDIC and other is for code.
@@anabaperslife9579 Thank you for the input 🙏
@@anabaperslife9579 Why I asked this question was there are many notes to adjusted in spdd compared to with assistant and without assistant tabs so we are thinking to skip Note adjust part now and adjust them post upgrade.
Will complete with modification and without modification tabs now and resume SUM.
THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR INFORMATIVE VIDEOS AND REPLIES , THIS HELPED A LOT FOR BEGINNERS LIKE ME 👍
