added this song to a playlist back in summer 2020 as I found it through spotify radio on another indie song I liked :) it's good
So about the band’s timing, they’re compensating and playing slower for Lindsay who obviously lost her voice. They of course knew in advance and also as the frontman/lead writer, she’s working it how she can & they are following along, that’s why it’s a bit staggered. It’s actually really impressive. They stay in synch, even with the mild changes. You can see her fighting thru it to hit almost every note esp. the higher chorus ones. She pushes at the syllables but the voice has a late start… & she still hits every note! (the ones that are more like fills she did low harmonies or yells) Tiptoed thru it deftly and sold it with some extra attitude.

As much as I love this band I’m finding a common thread in these CZcams videos: her voice lacking as well as struggling tempo’s. They’re a relatively new band and I give them credit, but the pfork performance was a near embarrassment. Hopefully they get their chops up!
