There’s always pressure when you’re competing against anyone! And yes, it may be somewhat more challenging when you’re competing against the crème-de-la-crème, but that’s how it goes! Simone undergoes a whole lot of pressure herself in order to continue keeping up her status of excellence! She also has to work extremely hard! Not only the girls competing against her!
Some people have actually blamed Simone for being so good that she’s making it too difficult for others to win! Huh? Yes! I found that out from viewer comments on another video! Now THAT’s incredible and strangely judgmental!

@@Bohemian-Nilda When people complain about someone is too good that no else can win is because they themselves are not good enough simple. Why should standards be lowered. Simon Biles is an elite plus athelete and she's set the bar into the next century perhaps. It just means gymnasts will realise that they are either not as good as they hoped and have to deal with perhaps they are standard. I agree with everything you say.

What a shame, Simone's tumbling was amazing as usual but the camera work on her floor exercise was atrocious. I don't think the camera could have been any further away or it would have been outside the building. I couldn't even see the full twist in her first double layout or the half twist in another double layout. You deserve better than this, Simone.

Simone has one gorgeous figure. Well balanced, strong glutes and thighs and good calves. As little as she is she's in well balanced. She is made for future gymnastics. She's put America on the map for gymnastics and her team mates. We now live in an era where it is no longer Russia, China or Romania etc. USA is having their day.

There is a big difference between today's gymnasts and Nadia! Nadia looked gentle, fragile, childish, like a kitty checking her flight on the beam. She executed perfectly without accentuating the force of the muscles. It is also because she was to stay within the weight and expected to retire if she got heavy because weight implies mass which mass is inertia and so it's loss of speed and ease of move.
As a gymnast you look at what fits you best.

I'm a Nadia, Olga and Kim (Nelly) etc fan but they are not built to do what Simone does. We are in a different era and gymnasts has moved on from then. It has evolved beyond the norm. I still always look back on those videos because they are absolutely great. However, Simone makes the back of neck hairs stand up in the amasing stuff she does. Simone is the furture of gymnastics and like how time has moved on comes along Biles. We need to appreciate the now as well as look back on the then. But currently it is Simone.

Some day when HER time is up, after having reaped the benefits from all the muscle pains, from the financial strain her parents were placed in, and from the years of physical and mental stress she endured from all the training and performances, she’ll then step down and someone else from the present or next group of gymnasts will take her place of excellence and glory! There will usually be someone else who will shine more than others! This happens within the other fields of competition as well! Do you mean that Michael Phelps should’ve stepped down from swimming competitions simply to allow someone else to take his place? Why? Because he didn’t need the $? How do WE know that? Nevertheless, he DESERVED to make above and beyond what his parents and he had invested! Nothing wrong with THAT!
Simone Biles will step down when SHE feels the need to (as she did before when experiencing all that mental stress which affected her performances and after which she returned more confident and competent than ever before!) And she’ll make a permanent exit when SHE is good and ready! NOT when SOMEONE ELSE feels that she should!

What were you watching!? All these athletes are great, but the nature of sport is ranking. At this time Simone continues to be at the top! Good for her and all gymnasts who love their sport and continue to become great!
First and foremost, she is confident not cockey, and that's needed to be the best at what you do. Secondly she takes nothing away from other athletes by being as good as she is , she inspires the the up and coming gymnast, and lastly I think she does this for the love of the sport and certainly not the money.
So you go flip those burgers and be the best you can be !
