Heaven's band just got another star. RIP David Crosby.
Heaven’s band will get two more members shortly. Stills and Nash are not far behind. Neither are we, for that matter.
Greatest of all time!
I was at that concert. I will always love those guys. They are and will be one of my very favorite bands. I was blessed to have met them personally a few times backstage or at at another musicians friends house. Rock on forever!!!!
I'm so jealous that you saw them all. ❤️❤️

IF YOU LIVED THE ERA-The 60s, The Music-The War, the Movement-YOU KNOW A TIME NO OTHERS WILL EVER UNDERSTAND or COMPREHEND. You HAD TO EXPERIENCE IT AND LIVE IT. WOODEN SHIPS can no one touch that Crosby, Stills and Nash perfectly performed. IT SET THE STANDARD OF THE TIME.
Siaya, I lived that time, and I agree with you. We could never truly describe what it was like in those years to someone who anyone who didn't experience what we did. The politics, the war, the assassinations, and the greatest music. Crosby, Stills, and Nash were the best. I think they were in a class by themselves. loved their music then and love it still.
I lived in the era. Crosby Stills and Nash were overrated. Crosby was a lifelong sleaze who shit on people all the time. And frankly, their voices together sounded like fingernails on a chalkboard.
@@Martin-iv6lq were you 5 years old?
Oh look. Another Boomer thinking that his generation was special from the others…
The War is and will always be World War 2. Vietnam was rough for those who fought it but alot of guys simply decided not to. Oh my what a sacrifice those hippies made
Such a killer song, pure unadulterated ear candy 🍬🍭!
❤️
Rest in peace David Crosby🎸
RIP David Crosby🥺
David Crosby had such a beautiful tone to his voice
I was born in 1962. But I can remember the embassy in Saigon being evacuated, what was shown on TV. I grew up without cell phones, CD's, computers, or video games. It was a great time to be alive. Unless you were a kid graduating from high school somewhere around 1966-70.
This is the music they play in heaven. ❤
Rip David Crosby legends never die
Amen
Has to be one of my all time Fav songs from C.S. & N.. early 70’s .. very much in love with my guy and this song .. ❤❤
Saying Goodbye To David Crosby! Prayers Go Out To Family,
Loved Ones, & Close Friends! Thanks For All The Awesome Music!
You Will Surely Be Missed, David Crosby! xxs
God damn…this footage is a treasure! Wonderful…
Rip David ❤🎉
What to say? These guys are my idols! Their music is a big part of the soundtrack of my life. This is quite a performance and you can tell by their body language and their smiles that they really nailed it. Their chemistry and 'Sound' is uncanny! I only saw them once(San Diego circa '85)and I will never forget it!
Holy shit. What a great and outstanding performance. :)
David is off to his next voyage... RIP 1/18/2023
I was SO lucky that this band was part of my growing up years. I am forever blessed. Now I'm a grown up and playing them on my Saturday night KZAP show. Still blessed.
Love and peace .
Wow love this song.

Wow! Perfectly imperfect!
No shit. It would be great if it was just Stills but he had to drag those other 2 yellers along.
Dope ✌️✌️
Great band, I wish I had this album;-;
This isn't an album.
Ouço esses caras desde 1976. Motivado pelo meu irmão Geraldo, em Sorocaba-SP. Hoje, ele deve morar no ceu. E eu, morando no Acre, só me resta lembrar dos bons tempos de adolescência. Reminiscências....
Fantastic
That was great!
Crosby is the underrated best singer of that era.
I can think of literally dozens of singers who could sing Crosby under 87 tables!
Beginning with his Byrdmates Gene Clark and Roger McGuinn. Next; Nash and Stills are better lead singers than David.
He’s a great harmony singer, but not so great as a lead singer.
“Almost Cut My Hair” (a song I happen to love) is more spoken than sung, as is his featured vocal on that bluesy number he sings on the first CSN album. He does a beautiful job on “Guinevere” however.
That's a joke, right? Stills did Crosby a favor by letting him on stage. Stills wasted him time dicking around with Crosby, Nash, and Young. If it wasn't for Stills, Nash would have never been heard of after the bubble gum band the Hollies. Stills is in his own category by himself.
csn, csny, were highly regarded, with Byrds and others, for 3 part harmony, at the time. Harmony, resonates?
Stop with the stupid underrated crap . David Crosby was never underrated. He is a world famous musician roundly praised for his singing and guitar playing talent. Are you teenager ?
@@emmettmckenna4565 The fact that you admire other singers more doesn't diminish Crosby's talent. And he didn't say he was the best anyway.
He never die ...
A Generation's song, praying it's not our tomorrow
Nice! 🎼☮️🎶
Acid Head's make good music , I know , I am one , my friend at Woodstock consert , seen the Butterflies leaving messages in the sky , it's okay , We are living Free and easy , ...
wonderful western sky music
We covered this song on our channel a few days before David Crosby's death although its not nearly as good as the original. Personally, I love CSNY and is one of my all time favorites to perform. RIP David Crosby.
The crowd loved the acoustic version of Wooden Ships. Graham Nash looked to be only playing chords on the chorus. Interesting Stephen Stills went for a rhythmic strumming guitar solo rather a fast note playing solo. It really works.
wow! awesome! the wooden ships version on wembley 1974 is awesome as well" cant find it anymore on CZcams.
Perfetta armonia per sempre
Before MTV unplugged was a thing.
I had to break out the old D18 and strum along for some reason.
Superb voices and a song that just soothes my heart.
See you on the other side David.
Paul Kanter of the Jefferson Airplane helped them write this but they couldn't give him credit for contractual reasons
What are you talking about? That's BS.
@@sharpenflat6002 If this entry from wikipedia is correct, so is Tommy Haynes: "Kantner could not be credited as one of the joint authors-composers of "Wooden Ships" on the original May 1969 release of Crosby, Stills & Nash, because he was embroiled in legal disputes with Jefferson Airplane's then manager, Matthew Katz."
Jefferson Airplane did this song also. Both Bands did it beautifully. I am 73 . I knew Paul Kantner was part of the writing of Wooden Ships.

What do these little red smudges mean? Are you OK?
Really nice. Why is Graham so loud, though?
I miss the bass but otherwise this is superior to the album version
I don't sing that purple berries part, I say it.
Best version ever. And without or because of No Neil Young.
?
you are SO wrong sir
@@eduardoalcala8310 💗 💖 💘 💝 💟 ☮️
He was not there in the beginning. Neil that is.
Anything without Neil Young is best version ever. Neil Young is NOT a singer.
Nash is off a bit
Off key. Not in pitch.
Thank you for seeing that. He is always off a bit. If it wasn't for Stills, he would have been forgotten 50 years ago. All he and Crosby did was drag Stills down. They aren't even in the same category as Stills.
DO NOT MAKE A FOOL OF HARD WORKIMG MEN AND WOMAN
Is it true that Steve got bumped from the Monkees because he had bad teeth?
One of the best songs EVER WRITTEN. I'm just 55, and a Trump voter. But I LOVE 💕💕 I love some CSNY. In case you don't know what it means, it's David Crosby. Steven Stills, Graham Nash, Neil Young...
