Sure would be interesting to be able to read the guest list. I am sure we might find some interesting folks that stayed there. If only the walls could talk. Thanks for the tour.

Great dining at the Lodge. Has a view out towards White Sands. Learned how to ski there back in 1955. Golf pro shop was turned into a ski shop in the winters.

All gas carts. Electric ones wouldnt make 9 holes. Awesome golf course👍👍👍

I've stayed there and it's a really beautiful place. The restaurant and the hotel were great and it was one of my favorite things about my last visit to Cloudcroft. I recommend it as a great getaway for my friends who live in Capitan.

Rusty my Son and I played that course years ago. It has a par 3 that is a blind shot. You hit over a hill then drive your cart through a tunnel to the green. A camera monitor is at the tee box so you know when green is clear of players to hit.

He was a good man too. He wrote an autobiography that's very interesting as it covers his humble boyhood in New Mexico, his starting out building hotels, including El Paso's Hilton, as well as his life once he was wealthy. I never met him, but a couple of my maternal grandmother's friends knew him. Both men liked him very much. He never lost his goodness as he became successful. A very good man.

I think I remember watching New Mexico True TV when they featured a segment about this place you are showing us. It was pretty interesting then too. The well-to-do would take the railway from the hotter climates up to the cool Pines

Hi Rusty, nice tour. You could bring a small contoured whisky flax that fits easily in your pocket with your favorite liquid for your throat, just a thought. I have a double sink similar to yours with the crossover pipe to the discharge tie at the main sink and by using a small level on the crossover pipe the bubble on the level is off to the side which shows a slope. I have no problem with the sink draining. Adjustments to your pipes should be made to address your water draining. Best regards daniel👍
