I am a tad confused by your reaction. The message at the beginning of the video was showing that IF a woman faces injustice in her marriage, she should bear it (and even expect it). Also, the fact that Mahira sang about wanting to be equal with her husband implies that he could be good. She even says that she wants companionship and equality and will not tolerate abuse if it happens. She wants mutual love, not to submit and obey at all costs.
The comments on them being show biz stars makes no sense. The characters were depicting women from a certain time period. Are they not allowed to tell a story?
