Great video. I had wanted to be a member of the FDNY from the time I was a little kid but had no other skills to keep me afloat back in those days. I would have tested in the early 80s. The members of the FDNY have my utmost respect and I tried to model my firefighting skills around watching them and their training.
I am honored I got to several of these Fire Fighters marching in the St Patrick's Day Parade in NYC flash ahead to Sept 7 2001 I was riding on bus from Albany NY to Yankee Stadium to see the Yankees play the Boston Redsox we could look down the River and see the Towers glistening in the sun not knowing 4 days later they would stand no more Flash ahead to June 2002 many of Fdny marched In the Fireman's parade in Lake George NY many would stop and lookup a fallen firefighter that Passed on 9-11 at a memorial that was set up at the end of the parade route allthough many have I will never forget!!!!!
I remember September 11th watching that on the news as everybody was running away from the World trade Center but the firefighters were running toward the buildings.
See a lot of faces I knew....some of whom were killed on 9-11.....@5:55, FOUR guys all walking past the still being stretched handline.....pick the line up !
If only fdny ( yeah small case print ) if only they put a fire out!!! Retired LONDON FIREFIGHTER!!!. fdny are sooooo embarrassing to proper FIREFIGHTERS!!!!!! AND OUR BROTHERHOOD!!!
