Chen from EXO revealed he was dating/getting married to someone he loves and fans want he to leave EXO. That is why a lot of idols date in secret because they have too. To protect their relationship and the people they love. Also, the dating ban is really just when they are rookies. Companies want them to focus on their career before they date. That is why a dating ban is 3 years.

It is crazy that she even gets hate for wearing certain outfits (the nurse outfit controversy). So I wasn't surprised, but rather upset that she got so much hate for being together with someone she loved, and had to end it after a month or two. I just hope despite the rules, our girls, and all the idols will one day find their spouses. I will be happy and support them if any blackpink member wants a relationship, either public or secret. I would say they are very conscientious about their physical appearance since a young age and they are surrending by professionals who help and teach them how to keep their physic. It's part of the job after all, like learning to sing or dance, I think they learned how to take care of themselves and to have healthy food habits. Plus, when you eat at a nice cafeteria everyday, it must be much easier to eat well too.

Right! So I didn’t really believe that one. Jisoo even says that before a shoot she ate a lot of ramen noodles in order to puff up her face. Lisa also says she dosent diet at all because she dances and does Pilates. And Jenny said she chose to do flying yoga because it seemed fun, it might seem rigorous to other people but she’s been working out since predebut. I do think there is a rule saying that they have to have a certain scheduled exercise thing but I don’t think it’s heavily restricting because they can obviously choose and as we all know they eat A LOT especially carbs since they are always eating something with rice or noodles. Only jisoo I think has ever dieted and I think she stopped a long time ago, Jennie just cuts out sodium before a stage performance or shoot, but there’s lots of foods without sodium.

No dating, no going anywhere without your manager, and no driving are all unacceptably controlling rules in my opinion. It reminds me of Britney Spear's conservatorship where she was forbidden from getting married, riding in her boyfriend's car, or doing pretty much anything without her dad's permission. That case was a little different because it wasn't consensual. Even still, these conditions are crazy. Rose, Lisa, Jennie and Jisoo are employees and they are adults. Their employers should not behave like they own them.
They are not gonna be this famous their whole lives anyway. So let the company handle this. its for their own good.

If this was uploaded before the album and documentary, this would still have made sense. Yg actually has always targeted on protecting the girls. The mysterious reputation that yg built for the girls actually helped them, one of the reasons for bp's huge fanbase is their concept. Yg imposing rules on them is also for their protection. Yge artists have been through a lot, its obvious the media is butthurt and continuously attacks them, even last year was such a loss for yg; losing seungri and hanbin to the stupid accusations that media imposes on them. The girls not interacting with male artists is understandable too, everybody knows what happened during the jenkai scandals, literally half of the people that troll lisa hate her because of the shipping her fans do, I mean yes they should have freedom to date or like whoever they want but it doesnt work that way in kpop, blinks should have learnt that by now. The shipping and scandals literally give people reasons to hate on the girls more, and they already get plenty of hate. They weren't allowed to drive because of daesung's accident, yg wants to protect the girls from both, physical damage and getting involved in any case. That changed, Jennie drove the car in lovesick girls. They weren't allowed to drink for their own health and sanity, they can drink now, they were drinking alcohol on 24/365. The rules keep changing, since the girls have become much mature. Bigbang wasn't allowed to drink or drive too when they were in their debut days. Their dating ban has been over since a year, but they clearly don't want to date since they're passionate women who are only focusing on their work rn, yg has nothing to do with it. Lastly, I was forced into believing really stupid things about yg because of videos like this and after watching the documentary I discovered how yg has actually given them artistic freedom, rosie has been working on her solo album for the longest time and it's only taking sm time because she wants it to be perfect. All of us have hated yg for things that weren't even his fault, so we should finally educate ourselves and not believe shit that media tells us, especially Korean media. If I remember correctly a lot of these rules only apply to the training/rookie period and while on tour. In between promotions some things can ease up but with their schedule do they every get down time?

I've noticed young kpop fans are so sure of themselves because they read something. The girls were beautiful before their surgery, and are still beautiful today. There is literally no chance that they developed double eyelids, and their eye space grew without surgery. Again, to be VERY clear. There is nothing wrong with having surgery.

That plastic surgery thing is wrong, they can do plastic surgery if YG itself allows it to the individual trainee/performer (which they often do for cosmetic surgery). And this goes for almost every other rule too. Seems like one of those channels that makes videos about things they don't know anything on.

Being an idol is not easy, every company has its own rules, that's a consequence that must be borne, regardless of whether you like it or not, it depends on everyone who runs it, unless the contract is finished, that's a different story.
It could also be stated in the contract that there are adjustments to their age or policies/approvals that are needed according to developments over time between idols and their companies.
If i can remove one rule than it wil be the last rule of being with manager every where because they also should get their own privacy,they cant just sacrifies their privacy just for being a idol, i know that yg trying every thing just for their safety but he aslo should know their needs and wants.

Just cause you see them eating in the screen for short time doesn't mean they are eating same type of food behind the camera. All the girls are 45kg, according to BMI height to weight age chart they are underweight. Being obese is unhealthy but being underweight is also unhealthy. Most rules are to control them so it won't effect the companies profit not for their well being. Wait few year, company will replace them with fresh meat they are training right now. Just because this wasn't included, Suju's Kyuhyun didn't just get plastic surgery, he had a surgery on his nose due to an car-accident some of the members and him (at 19) were in and he almost died. It caused him to be in a coma for a few days, and he was mute for weeks because of the shock. It was so dangerous, and they wanted to give him surgery through his throat but his father begged for the doctors not to because he probably wouldn't be able to sing/talk again. He got surgery in another way thankfully, and he had like a 20% chance to live. This video made him look like he just got his nose done for looks, but the real reason is very different
I think all the celebs around the world should have such restrictions, if they want fame. It will prevent so much controversies. But some of the rules like not allowed to drive, or restricting movement is a bit too much.
i don't mind the drinking and smoking one. drinking and especially smoking can lead to horrible outcomes in their health so i do agree with that one. although no dating always annoyed me within the kpop industry, it just seems unreasonable to have them restricted from being with the one they might love
Some of these are just old things, they can drink alcohol, Lisa even talked about Rosé and Jennie loving one particular drink in a Somi episode. The dating rule was for the first 2/3 years of their career.
Don't mistake these rules as a sign of carefulness towards BP. This is just to avoid controversy in order to make money with them.

i'm not hatiing but I think there's 99,9% chance that they did plastic surgery before their debut.
A lot of plastic surgeon said that all of the members (but mostly Lisa and Rosé) get plastic surgery before. Maybe they get it before their contract being started. Lisa is totally different now since their pre debut photos. But I mean it without hating. She has a total different face and skin color. Rosé's eyes are more slimmers (there were lot of fat in her eye lids and only plastic surgery can solve it) and jennie's lips (mostly her upper lip) is 2-3 times bigger than before debut. Again I'm not hatiing, but a lot of doctors and experts are said there's no way that they didn't do anything with their apperance. They mostly said that Lisa get at lest 3-4 thing like nose, eye shape, skin color etc.

Putting on makeup doesn't make that much different, not in this way. Lisa's nose are have a different curve, and shape.
