      their getting cheaper now. only thing i wish it had was the better tech the 2020 models got. and consider a hybrid, the gas savings ImO would have been worth it

    Great video. I just traded in my Jeep Grand Cherokee for a Silver SE. It’s taking me some time to get used to it coming from my GC but I think It’s a good vehicle. My only complaint so far is I wish it had a better stereo system.

    • @randomrazr
      @randomrazr  Před 5 lety +1

      thank! glad ur enjoying it! id take a toyota over a chrysler product anyday. toyotas , especially the stock stereo system isnt the great. Even the JBL on the limited models isnt somerthing to ride head over heals for. u can always go after market on the speakers, or play with the equalizer settings on the touch screen. the default settings are just bland for sound.

    • @reginaalear
      @reginaalear Před 5 lety

      randomrazr yeah I plan to go look into some new speakers and maybe a sub. My Jeep had a sub so I think I just got used to that. My Jeep only had 11,000 miles on it but I’ve heard that over time they have a lot of electrical issues. I would lying if I said I don’t miss it but I think in the long term the Highlander is a better idea. I also needed 3 seats. I wish there was more room in the 3rd row but mine is mostly for kids.

      how do your seats sit? I hear that 2016 models and earlier have very uncomfortable seats...so I'm looking at 2017 and later. also what'd you do about your radio? adjust the settings or get new install? if you got new install what'd that entail?

    • @youngice8207
      @youngice8207 Před 5 lety

      private private the seats on the 2014- 2016 seats are the same as 2017 nothing about the seats changed

      @@youngice8207 ah, ok. well I test drove a 2017 & 2018 model. the seats were uncomfortable and had a residual affect. I LOVED them BOTH but my mom has chronic back probs and there's no way I would be able to stomach putting her in my car given what I experienced myself. I think the size of the person may matter. I'm an obese chick. If i was a thin or even normal size person, I'd def. have gotten a highlander

    There is only ONE thing I dislike about my 2018 XLE Awd. On a basic $16k Corolla you get LED headlamps and LED DRL standard; but on my $43k Highlander: NOPE! Damn shame..

    We bought the 2018 XLE last year. One thing I have noticed on our highway drives is the amount of wind noise. We drive cross country a lot and it is an issue. Any suggestions we can do to mitigate the noise (and no we are not going to buy a Lexus)

  • @johnnysunrocket8618

    The American version of the XLE awd does not have front Chrome Grill and does not have LED daytime running lamps. I don't know why. Canadian version on the other hand Does.

    Is it worth buying American version second hand? And why Americans sells their cars with low mileage covered?

      @@randomrazr I was looking to buy a american highlander with about 60-70K miles coverage from Georgia (a country, not a state). Of course it had some minor accident in USA. Therefore, investigating if it is worth buying.

      SE has a firmer suspension, different rims, blacked out grille and roof racks. LED interior fancy lighting, and a unique leather sport seats and 2 rear bucket seats. thats it

    • @randomrazr
      @randomrazr  Před 5 lety +1

      the cargo cover for the back? honestly, i find it always gets in the way when packing the back with stuff. even groceries, you sometimes stack stuff or have the odd item thats taller then the cargo cover thing. i tucked it in the storage compartment and hasnt been used since. i suppose the only useful thing it would be for is to cover any valuables if your hauling something expensive and dont want anyone to see
