I couldn't care less about this desk but I watched the whole thing just because Dennis and Sarah are entertaining
AGREED, they are both hilarious. more of this duo please!
Best combo
YASS! More Sarah and Dennis!
@@ghomerhust nahh, Elijah + Linus + Dennis.... the amount of stuff that'll break will know no bounds
This video didn't make me hate my current desk it just made me hate corsair for charging $1800 for what I could buy as individual parts for $700 and have more ability to customise than this desk.
I mean, you don't have to buy them from Corsair.
Don't say it too loud, Corsair is a major sponsor lmao
literally
1800??? Jesus, for that price, I could get another secretlab Magnus pro desk and a chair and still have some cash left over
700 is a bit of a stretch depending on the quality of the monitor arms and the lift desk..
I think Sarah is now one of my favorite LMG hosts: She actually reads the directions *and then follows them*.
An underrated superpower for sure!
same tbh
It’s always a treat when Sarah hosts
agreed lol I love Sarah
Yup 😊
Dennis*
I agree. She needs to be on the vids more.
Yummy
I did not realize how much I'd enjoy Sarah and Dennis doing something "productive" together.
Productive? You have Dennis
@@wobblysauce That's the joke...
Sarah And Dennis should have their own show. Two of my favorite people in LMG
Same!
+1
and can Riley heckle them?..
Yes! Watching these two is amazing!
Big agree
This whole video is just Chaotic Good - Sarah & Dennis are both adorable and don't mean for bad things to happen but they just can't help themselves 💜
This was how the rare equation Chaotic Good + Chaotic Good = Good Chaotic was discovered
Dennis = Chaotic
Sarah = Good
Separate monitor arms would have been cool for actual creator desks so the monitors could swung out and away from the middle so that you have a work station to do work at.
Damn. I hope Corsair takes this idea and actually brings it.
They do have a single monitor arm extension but their website is absolutely dire, so there's one picture and it's completely impossible to tell how you use it. It looks like it connects to their dual monitor arm clamp, and err... that is not for sale, but shows up in their accessories and if you buy the dual monitor arms, you have filled it up. Very strange design.
More importantly to me, their monitor arms may not be as good as my existing ones or ones I'd want. So what I really want is to be able to mount my own monitor arm on their rail. Otherwise the whole back section is essentially useless - if I have to mount the monitor arm to the desk, I might as well attach an external pegboard. Atm the Secretlab Magnus looks better for my own use case (though this certainly has different options which might be better for others).
@@jonevansauthor
Tech Source also did a build and the monitor arm could BARELY support his 45" OLED LG Ultragear (which is the same monitor I have). If the rail allowed support from other, more sturdy arms, then I think it' be worth it. But as it is, you're not putting anything bigger a 32" monitor on that thing and its an immediate No from me and likely plenty of others. Not to mention, for what it is, it seems grossly overpriced compared to custom built IKEA options, or even other pre-builts like the Secretlabs Magnus like you mentioned.
@@DefendedPlains One thing to note is that the Magnus supports LESS weight for each monitor arm. I personally think both options from Corsair or Secret Lab don't have enough customizability built in for who their target audience is.
@@DefendedPlains yeah that confirms these monitor arms are just plain bad. My LG Dualup's arm is really good and while I wouldn't mind lifting the mount off the desk, being able to support the monitor I have is pretty important.
If I'm buying third party, I want that arm to last my more than one monitor and be able to handle different weights.
The world is not ready for Sarah and Dennis in the same video... This is too much positive energy! Such power cannot be contained!
I love it when you pair two seemingly random people together for these things, it's always entertaining in a unique way
I cant remember what it is that Sarah does at LTT but she definitely needs an assistant so she can get more screen time!
So nice of Sarah to help her little brother put a desk together.
Its always fun when Sarah and Dennis are hosting the vids. They truly have that "random" energy.
Sarah needs to host more often she's a great host and she has a great on screen presence!
That's a pretty steep price for an adjustable height desk. The design is nice, but you can spend less or the same and get more elsewhere. I mean, last year I bought a 90 in. by 60 in. L desk and it came to 1400CAD with taxes if memory serves.
Still, neat features, so credit where it's due!
If you have a 3d printer, you can print much nicer extensions to accommodate whatever needs at a lower cost!
My 60x24" Flexispot E7 Pro was $450. It's not quite as large, but for less than half the cost of their fixed version I don't see why anyone would go the Corsair route.
@@derkaiser9881 Different folks have different needs, but a 60x24 desk is about as big as most people need. Definitely more affordable, too.
I'd agree, I picked up the Secretlab Magnus Pro they mentioned at the end a month or so ago and that (with a monitor arm, desk pad and the PC tower mount) was $400 less than the basic adjustable Corsair version without the pegboards.
4:06 those 2 cent cable clips definitely make this $20 desk worth paying $2,000 for 😂☠️😂
Dennis and Sarah - these guys make a great presentation team!
They play off each other's energy so well :)
Also... "SO THICK" 😂
Sarah + Dennis, yes please !
Thats a STEEP brand tax. But I do really like the fact that the desk is made with cable management in mind. And the rail system would really come in handy with my current attempts to mount a camera.
Not really that steep, if you consider all the parts and the convenience factor of it. Walnut standing desks can get into the 600-700 ballpark already, add the display arms and you're not far off of corsairs pricing.
@@omegacxv8344 To be fair, the Corsair desk only supports 2 32'' monitors or one 34''. A better one supporting 2*34'' ultrawide monitors is about 100 USD. Overall, with a similar IKEA desk, a Good dual monitor arm, some extension cords + a mounting solution will cost you only about half of what you pay for this desk.
Idåsen (Ikea) $800
Mount it dual monitor arm (Amazon) $180
Extension cords (Koppla)*2 (Ikea) $50
Pegboard (Skådis) *2 (Ikea) $56
In total, that's about $1100. The only difference is that you need to screw the pegboards to the wall.
So yeah, I'd say a 60% markup is pretty steep.
getting a very similar desk just without the pegboard from secret lab is like a grand instead of 1500. @@omegacxv8344
@@omegacxv8344 $1,800 with a pathetic 5-year warranty is very steep. Especially when you realize that you cannot trust them to have replacement parts after that. Uplift offers 10 years, Fully Jarvis offers 15 years. And you know both companies will still have parts available in the future.
@@omegacxv8344 Agree with the Wallnut Desks for 600-700USD, but you get plenty good dual monitor arms for 150USD, adding some shelf and pegboard and you'll end up with about 1000USD, that's far from the 1800USD Corsair wants.
The two of them are already chaos incarnate when they are in front of the camera, when you let the two of them loose together they feed off each others chaos energy and form a black hole.
Denis + Sarah is the chaotic hosting duo we didn't know we needed!
Sarah and Denis Co hosting together works really well
Whoever thought that Dennis and Sarah would be a great combo to host this episode is a friggin genius.
I am surprised LMG doesn't bring these two out on set more often. I get that they have other duties, but they are both really entertaining. Also they have great synergy
I really loved how they explore it as a typical new customer who doesn't know what is happening and what this stuff is and that makes it even better. :D
Please feature more videos from Dennis and Sarah together. They have great chemistry and they're funny together.
i love how much everyone else finds this duo brilliant, chaotic but brilliant
These two have top tier sibling chaos
Anyone going to tell Dennis that he was correct with his initial left right directions 8:30, because they were stage left and stage right / sitting left and right. But he changed it to his left and right.
Just bought 2 flexitspot desks. their smallest and cheapest for my wife and I. absolutely love them. This definitely doesnt make me hate them lol.
$1800?!? You crazy? You can get a standing desk for the same dimensions for $350 on sale and $1450 left over for kitting it our however you want.
I will admit i have never looked for a standing desk so i'm not aware of prices, but 350 most have a catch xD
the higher price is for build quality, convenience and after sales support.
@@SpektrikMusic it's a desk, what the heck do you mean? I bought the legs to two sets of desks with dual motors that support up over 350lbs 6 years ago on eBay for $350 + $80 for an IKEA table top. They have had 0 issues. I weigh 160lbs and have stood on the desk while raising and lowering it.
Slickdeals is your friend.
@@Triflixfilms while the ROG is overpriced, you're not getting solid wood table tops for $80. you're looking at at least a few hundred bucks for a properly treated and varnished rubberwood top
@@knightsljx Lowe's real wood tops for $150-$200.
I love how both of them are extremely chaotic in entirely different ways
Thanks guys for showing me an expensive item I didn't know existed about an hour ago but now I'm fairly sure I need it.
LMG is so lucky to have some of these people working there! Dennis, Sarah, Riley, James, Emily, Alex and Plouffe to name a few!!
When Linus says about having a world class team, he really is spot on. There's so many more that it'd almost be rude to highlight more like Jake, Dan, Kyle, Adam, Nick, David, Jakob, Maria, Tynan, Jonathon. Even Colton if he hasn't been fired. And that's leaving out many many more, in particular... Yvonne.
@@benwu7980 agreed, too many to mention! Great chemistry and a sense of comradery, love it 😊
@@benwu7980 LUKE!!!
Sarah and Dennis really do have a vibe together on camera which is great! Really enjoyed watching this.
love seeing Dennis and Sarah in videos individually
they're even better together
Sarah's sense of humor and composure in the middle of Hurricane Dennis is admirable. Great video, all!
Great video... dang love that desk and always nice to see Sarah, she just brings light to a video!
I never expected to see Sarah & Dennis duo-host, they work nicely together it seems 😂
I'd love to see the corner post supports and rail sold separately as a kit. I already have an excellent standing desk from Uplift that has a solid birch wood top (the desk was ~$1800) and I'd like to add this system onto it.
Love Dennis' sense of adventure and playfulness
Dennis is a legend 👌 - these two together are a great combo too, super positive.
What a wonderful combination of hosts :)
This is so chaotic and I'm all here for it haha
10:30 the way Sarah picks it up after sending across the room just to throw it to far on the desk and it falls off the back AND THEN LEAVES IT was exactly the movements I would have done lol “welp, I tried!”
Sarah and Dennis in one video, what a way to end my Tuesday :D.
Also, find yourself someone who can build furniture with Sarah's positivity :).
Thanks for showing this off! Neat to see Corsair entering this market (if they haven't been in for a while already?)
For desk builds, it'd be awesome to see you guys do a wobble test. Not all standing desks are the same, and some have some pretty awful wobble making your monitor arms feel like pool noodles if you _breathe_ on your desk ☠
Ok I think this is my new favorite dynamic duo. Can we pleaseeee have Sarah and Denis do more videos together, I love this
This is the light-hearted christmas-content we need
Dennis or Sarah automatically get a like. Their rare appearance are always an interesting joy.
Sarah and Dennis seem like chaos waiting for an audience. If they ever end up on a team on Channel Super Fun together... be afraid... be very afraid! :)
Any video with Sarah is instantly a good video
I love how you can upgrade the base desk, not for that much money but it's a really cool concept to see.
Sarah and Dennis... More of this, please!
Dennis and Sarah are a really fun combo, this has been a very entertaining and informative video to watch
Always a great day when theres a Sarah video. Such positivity, much happiness. 🥳
Please more Sarah and Dennis, they are so funny together!
God I love Sarah. She brings so much energy and joy to every video she's in. She reminds me a lot of a friend I once had many years ago.
You can definitely DIY this together for at least half the cost, but that's a lot of work. I'd be interested in buying just the upper frame. as a standing desk add-on conversion.
For half the price? That's a stretch, but you could definitely save 300-400 if you decide to DIY it. Granted, you have to manage all the parts, if they fit and also how they fit on your own. And you can save money if you get cheaper quality stuff, obviously
@@omegacxv8344 I'd say the biggest factor is the quality of the desk frame they're using. You can pickup Flexispot E7 or high end models for under $450, butcher block+finish $150, and then they sell the upper frame separate for $300. (could probably DIY for $120-200) So yeah, about half.
@@omegacxv8344 I'd argue half the price is actually being generous. I've studied cabinet making for a bit and the margins on those sure are insane. That's pretty much what you start selling when (I assume) people stop buying your gaming chairs, it really is no wonder why Secret Labs were among the firsts pushing $1000 lazy desks foward...
@@omegacxv8344 Why would that be a stretch? FlexiSpot Desk for 600USD, dual monitor arm for 150USD and some pegboard and shelfs for 100USD = ~850USD. I guess if convience is worth 1k to you that's great, but corsair is really charging STEEP on this one
built myself a similar thing, flexispot adjustable height desk was 270, monitor arms 60, dont have the peg boards but you can round it to 400 if you like, those prices are mad.... its for pros that dont know what to do with money, maybe, what gamer spends "high end gpu money" on desk? Corsair are drunk ...@@omegacxv8344
It's a nice idea and probably sells well. I bought a double wide massive wood table top for 100 eur, finished it with 3 layers of wood oil (about 5 €) and and combined with an electric table legs I got on sale for like 290 eur. I can imagine adding a rail system + quality monitor arms and power outlets would bring the price up to something around 800 eur total. So that Corsair package is not a bad deal. Though you do would get a much better quality and bigger desk if you DIY it.
I've missed seeing Dennis in content, though his ad reads are next friggin level, and its great to see him and Sara making chaos!
we need for videos from these two .. they are great and fun to watch. .
$1800 that is mental, i think this makes me appreciate my solid wood desk for £100 (like $150)
Yeah, it's insane. I built a desk entirely from scratch and even bought a new circular saw, for a total of like 300 bucks. 1800 is absurd
I always love seeing Sarah in videos. She'S always happy and positive
These two! Awesome. Barely retained anything about the desk,
if I clicked it cuz I'm looking for a desk, but this video brightened my day! Great hosts.
Sarah and Dennis is the duo we didn't know we needed. Simply perfect
or you can use a simple executive desk and have something more stylish with drawers to put all your gear in
Tw of my favorite people at LMG in a video together! 😊Super pleased with this!
Great team-up. The whole LTT crew is unreasonably good at this stuff.
Haven't seen the chaotic energy of Dennis and Sarah in a while loved it.
1800$ out your dam mind
What's crazy is that it sells
I don't live anywhere near north america, but an adjustable table with rubberwood top would be 400usd and it would be more wide and deep, a bunch of ikea skadis pegboard (3-4 depending on the size) would be around 100usd, a good no brand dual gas monitor arms would be 100usd or 150usd at worse. You're paying for the brand and the convenience of having it all in one package.
it does give me ideas on a future workstation desk.
gonna be fun trying to price the build to be under Corsair's MSRP.
The Freudian slips in this episode had me rolling.
price is outrageous. Way more then even the magnetic sit stand desk from secret labs which looks like a much nicer desk.
Not really. Other brands put their walnut standing desks at around 600-700, add the arms, brand and convenience factors, and you'll get to corsairs pricing.
dont care for the desk but Sarah and Dennis hosting was gold. Love both of their chill attitude and humor
The Eliot does not only look better but it also has a superior build quality.
This video just makes me appreciate my standing desk even more.
OMG Sarah AND Denis!!! Release the chaos!!! These two are so great together hosting...sooo much goof :D
My desk is 10 feet long, two deep, and is made of 1 inch thick plywood and 2x6s. Its built into a closet in my office where I did not need closet space, is at the perfect height for me, and is finished with black weatherproof deck paint. There is shelving on either side in the recesses behind the walls and great lighting up above. There is over 7 feet (14 sq feet) of working space and plenty of storage for accessories and peripherals.
You cant really get much better.
Ehm, nice flex(?)
Honestly the perfect sized desk that I've been looking for but I'm not paying $1000 for a desk
@@CricketEnglandwhat
But what about $1,800
what an absolutely dynamic duo
I basically built my perfect version of this desk about a year ago! I bet they are using FlexiSppot legs, cuz mine look the exact same and have the same weight limit.
It's really cool to see Corsair's take on it tho. They thought of everything!
But... I'm looking for a product which will make _my desk_ hate me. :-)
I wish I could build stuff with Sarah.
i got so exited when seeing Sarah and Dennis together hosting a video, my 2 favorite hosts at lmg
I love how Sarah is actually the more technical and handy person of the two :D
Hello Dennis & Sarah
Love when Sarah hosts. She's fantastic!
litteraly just bought last month a ikea uppspel table (under 600€, great finish and build quality, even more height seting functions),
but watched for the entertainment value, thx denis and sara
Came for the tech review. Stayed for the host chemistry and banter. I think these 2 are my favorite LMG Co-Hosts.
Dennis and Sarah are so relatable and nice. They should host all channels.
Always a good day when there is a new video from the ltt team!
Dude, either you haven't realised they release multiple videos every day, or that you think every day is a good day and you are an obnoxiously positive person 😂
Hooray for the return of Dennis! Also, yay Sarah! 😍
Great video. Also Sarah’s hair is really pretty in this video
I paid about $100 for my desk. It’s 100% stainless steel and will likely be around for the rest of my life. 😎
I freaking love this video It's so fun to watch my grandmother tagged along too!
This is absolutely awesome, thanks, I'm glad I found this Channel, I will visit Standard and Strange next year, xheers from Mexico City 🎉
I’m ok with my desk though
At least watch the video first lol
@@premprakash2297You can tell at a glance that’s one of those expensive tech stuff, like those motorized lift desks. It’s pretty nice, if you have $1800 lying around 🤷♂️
I built my own desk for less than $200 and its super heavy duty and looks better
people pay for convenience.
I like how the subtitles, that I always have disabled by default, got automatically enabled for this video and the first of them were "Hello, it's me, Dennis here"
Sarah's tech tip was to use a allenkey the slow way (good to apply some more torque) while denis was infact using the quicker method.
You know what, I actually believe sarah is the strongest in the group. Probably the most practical too.
We need more Sarah’s in the world
